Lyle chuckled at her dancing, but couldn't help himself when his head bobbed along to the music.
"I like pink, but I prefer blue. Like, denim blue, not sky or navy blue."
Lyle chuckled at her dancing, but couldn't help himself when his head bobbed along to the music.
"I like pink, but I prefer blue. Like, denim blue, not sky or navy blue."
"Mkay. Cool." She shrugs and heads inside, heading over instantly to the drinks.
Lyle cautiously takes a drink, fingering it between his thumb and forefinger, not usually a huge drinker.
"You're the life of the party type, aren't you? Does that mean I'm the designated driver?"
"Pfffft." She laughs as she eyes the crowd. "Make sure you get whose who first. Types of people. Looks like I'll be the only life of the party. Good. No competition for the cute guys here." Her eyes land on you as she says that but quickly darts away. "But. Should try to keep a good rep here since it's my first day here I guess. Now let's see…the people on the second floor are more people watchers and weedies, or people getting horny. Most sex happens in the bedrooms. More you're type of crowd. On the couches are the douche bags and basic whites. And the dance floor is where I thrive. So many grinders any more though, no one has a passion for dancing like me. Or music. Oh well." She guzzles down her drink, and pays for another one, and sighed. "Hmm…I don't know to many people."
"Well, you know me. And, if you'd like–I mean, not that you have to–we could dance together." Lyle couldn't swallow down a blush, but he tried hard to keep his cool and smile, taking a sip from his drink before setting it down.
"Really? Can guys even dance anymore? I didn't think any guy could any more. Not REALLY dance ya know? Instead of Basic White Guy dance moves, cringy fortnight dances." She shudders. "No, you see. I am the proud cotton eyed joe dancing champion, cha cha slide, and cupid shuffle. Worked hard for all 3 titles, and cotton eyed joe I nearly passed out. Had to sit out and breath with bad stomach cramps because of it. No one dances like that anymore." She sighed. "And I'll bet 10 bucks no guy in this room can ballroom dance, swing, or tango."
"True, but who's saying I can't try?" Lyle had a goofy grin on his face. "And though most of the people are probably drunk off their ass, I'm pretty sure *someone knows how to dance here."
"Hm. Guess so." Suddenly single ladies starts playing. "HELL YES! THROW BACK!" She shoves her way through the crowd and begins to dance with a bunch of other girls, all of them synchronized together.
"Ookay then, cya later…" Lyle said to mostly himself, not really doing much besides leaning against the wall, occasionally sipping his drink and making small talk with the seemingly sober people.
(boop)
She came back after the song. "Still standing here? Look guys can be la-" Suddenly she turned around, holding a pocket knife. "GRAB MY ASS AGAIN AND I'LL EAT YOUR EYES!" She growled out, eyes glowering at a guy with an asshole haircut, regular sportsy clothes. He looked shocked. "What the fuck…" Then shook his head and walked away. She huffed and put away the pocket knife and turned her attention back to you. "As I was saying, you should come join the party. I shouldn't have ALL the fun."
"Okay," Lyle paused. "Just don't eat my eyes. I don't think you'd want a former blind friend wandering around. Besides, you could go to jail for that kind of shit. Though…I would love to see that fight happen." Lyle smiled as he walked towards Eve.
"Will you join me in this ass-sucking party to do a semi-decent dance?" Lyle mused, only half-joking, holding out his hand in an overly exaggerated pose.
She blushed and giggled, took his hand, and kissed the fingers, leaving behind a lipstick stain. "Well of course, the only none asshole here. And friends? I'm glad you agree that we can be friends." She smiled and intertwined her fingers with his, and tugged him off to the dance floor. "Cmon."
"Shit, I said we could be friends? Damn, I must really like you." Lyle was only joking as she pulled him onto the dance floor, doing a little jig before laughing at himself.
She rolled her eyes. "I like ya too, so no worries there!" She grabbed his hand and twirled herself around with a grin.
"Ha ha, well, you clearly don't know how much I dislike people–besides you, of course!" Though he wasn't drunk, Lyle was giddy.
She blushed. "Oh really? And how do you know I'm not a rotten scoundrel? An absolutely horrible person hm?"
"I don't know, I guess I'll have to take my chances, then. Nothing like a little risk, right?" Lyle's smirk was challenging her as he spun her a few times.
"But I am no tiny risk, a huge risk to take indeed." She said as she twirled, laughing a bit as she suddenly spun in against your chest, crossed your arms over her chest and while hold your hands swayed back and forth, nice and close, smiling, before spinning away again.
"Did you ever consider the other side of the coin? What if I'm not who I seem? What if I'm just a little boy trying to be outgoing?" It was truth, yes, but Lyle didn't know if he could trust Eve to know private things. Things that he has told no one for so long.
"Hm, then you are a fool, little one." She pats your head and then spun away into the crowd, and after dancing with a few guys came back to you. "And who knows, maybe I don't see YOU as a friend. Maybe I could see you as a lover." (I LOVE WHEN PEOPLE ACTUALLY USE MY CHARACTERS NICK NAMES YAY! I dunno it like feels like people are closer to that character.) "Maybe your hot in my eyes. Maybe your hideous and I'll ignore your ass after tonight. You know nothing. I know everything." And liked that she kissed your cheek and disappeared into the crowd, and was off to the drinks.
(You haven't seen my previous posts? XD I've been using Lyle and Eve's names in almost all of them :P No problem, I guess.)
Lyle smiled and shook his head. Him? Hot? Please. He edged his way off of the dance floor, feeling awkward not to know anyone but Eve. He only hoped that she wouldn't just get out of his life entirely-she was the first person who made him feel comfortable in a crowd.
(No I have, i just didn't comment) She was waiting on a margarita, humming a bit. "Ay Evelyn I hear you sing." "Yeah, I guess. Where'd you hear that?" "I saw you at a bar a few months ago." "Hm, okay. I'm not playing here." "Ah cmon, your so good!" She shook her head. "No…tonight I'm hoping to make some friends, get some connections. And what would your name be." "Michael, pleasure to finally talk to you." Suddenly Michael got punched in the nose by Evelyn. "Quit staring at my boobs." "OW HEY WHAT THE HELL!" "What, do you expect me to just take it. Pffft, naw. I was raised differently. Keep your eyes and hands where the fuck they belong if you don't have consent." She then walks off, and soon finds some interesting people, chatting away with them, but while walking over had grabbed your hand. She even made sure to include you in the conversation, and bring you if she went back to the bar, even buying you a soda.
"Hey, you don't have to buy me a soda to hang out with you. I'm fully content to have fun without payment! I'm just…antisocial, that's all." Lyle smiled in pity of himself, letting he be dragged on by Eve. "You know, you're not gonna get a guy by dragging him everywhere you want to go. But thanks for the drink."
"Fine. I thought I was helping by being nice." She left you in the circle of people you didn't know and was gone upstairs, to get a little high.
