“That’s fine.” He dipped his head, as if nodding. “Let’s find him.”
“That’s fine.” He dipped his head, as if nodding. “Let’s find him.”
Alek nodded, and started walking, looking around for Sadon. He wasn't sure where the man would be, so he checked all the logical places that he could think of.
Sadon would eventually come across them and walk over. “Ah, you’ve found your dragon?” He asked.
Seig stopped and watched for now, opting to stay silent.
Alek nodded, and gestured at Seig. "Yeah." He said, looking at Sadon.
Sadon nodded. “I’ll register him, then. Are you keeping him anywhere?” He asked, turning to leave.
"Er…can he stay here?" Alek asked. "I don't have somewhere else for him to stay."
“Yes, there’s a wing of the Aviary to the east. It’s where dragons with riders are kept. I’ll also record that in the books as well, so if you change where he’s staying, be sure to let me know.” Sadon called out, leaving to go and register the information he had collected today.
Seig finally spoke. “So, what are you planning to do? Most riders I’ve known typically get supplies if they don’t have any already, like riding gear. But it’s your choice.”
Alek nodded. "Alright. Thank you." He said. He looked at Sadon. "Well… riding gear is probably a good idea…where do I buy that?" He asked, looking around.
Seig grunted. “Now that, I can’t exactly place my guess on. But I’d typically think there’s a shoppe in the Aviary. By the entrance. If it’s how I remember it.”
Alek nodded, and headed towards the entrance to the Aviary. "Okay. Thank you." He told the dragon as he walked.
“No problem.” Seig followed him. It wasn’t odd to see dragons following humans around here; after all, many people were dragon riders.
Alek kept walking, looking for the supply shop. He needed riding gear, that much was obvious. He sighed softly, his hand tapping an uneven rhythm on his pant leg.
(bump? Not trying to be rude or anything, I just like to bump after a few days of inactivity)
((It’s fine, I was just out with family and I also wasn’t feeling the best at that current time as well.))
Seig glanced over. “Does that rhythm mean any sort of thing?” He asked. He decided not to ask anything about why; most creatures, even non dragons and non humans tended to have a detail in their personality that made them separate from each other.
(alright)
Alek looked up. "Hmm? Oh, no. It's just sort of a… nervous tic, I guess." He replied. "I don't know. I just do it a lot." He shrugged. And, too, it reminded him of the missing fingers. That he only had so long left to live.
“That’s understandable. A lot of creatures tend to share a..tic of some sorts they have,” Seig spoke, from his thoughts he had before. “Do you have anything in mind of what gear you want?”
Alek nodded, then sighed. "Not really…I don't actually know very much about this sort of thing. I'll have to ask for help." He replied, shrugging slightly.
“Right.” Seig nodded, then looked ahead. “It seems we are approaching the marketplace.”
Alek nodded, and walked a little faster, weaving into the marketplace, then doubled back to Seig. "Sorry. What exactly should I be looking for?" He asked, looking up at the dragon.
“You can always come back here for more, but most riders, especially ones that haven’t rode a dragon for very long typically get the basics. Saddles, reins, blankets, stuff that you might find on a horse. Some like to add ribbons, or extra decoration but that’s optional. As for riders, helmets are important, riding gloves too. Fingerless or not. Depending on where you’re flying generally a jacket too. In general it gets a bit cold when flying. Riding boots as well. Make sure whatever you’re getting is built to last.” He stated.
Alek nodded, filing the information away. "Do you want ribbons?" He asked with a teasing grin. "I mean, the other stuff is for me. Do you want some decorations?" He chuckled softly.
“Nah. I’m not a huge fan of extra decorations.” The dragon seemed to snort, slightly rolling his eyes.
Alek chuckled. "Alright. I'll go get stuff, then." He said, and walked into the marketplace, looking around for what he needed.
Seig nodded. “I’ll wait here then.” He sat down, tail curling around himself to avoid anyone tripping over it. The market place was already crowded enough - and with the addition of a dragon, Seig tried to minimize how much space he took up.
After a while, Alek came back with everything he had needed, and set it down with a grunt. "I think that's everything." He said, straightening up.
