Dylan's eyebrows relaxed. "Well then. I guess that's something, and she's in safeish hands."
Dylan's eyebrows relaxed. "Well then. I guess that's something, and she's in safeish hands."
"Says the man who just threatened to reset her." Kiania huffed, frowning at him.
"Exactly. She isn't in my hands, she's in yours. And technically speaking, I already reset her. So she'd be twice resetted." He rubbed his head, trying to organize his thoughts.
"My hands are safe and warm." She said, cradling a happy looking Zee. "Ain't that right, hon?" The lizard let out a sort of chirp in response. "You reset my lizard, I reset you. Got it?"
"Right. Definitely." Dylan looked her up and down once again, briefly calculating the odds of which of them would win of something like that were ever to happen.
"There's a fun idea." Kiania perked up, looking up at him. "While you wait for Doc, why don't you and I spar? It's been a day and a half since I've gotten a decent fight."
Dylan grinned despite himself. "Do you play rules?" He casually pushed off from the wall to circle around, bouncing his weight on the front of his feet.
"Sometimes. My favorite fights don' have any." Kiania said, setting Zee down on a table and beginning to clear an area, moving tables and chairs and things.
Dylan joined her in moving things around. "That's good, because I don't think I've ever played rules." He said, with a smirk and a wink.
"Well you're in luck." Kiania said, shooting him a flirty and mischievous smile. "'Cause the only rule we've got is no murder."
"Aw, that's too bad." He grinned back and silently went through a checklist of the weapons he had. She had no idea what she had coming, if he could get a grip on her wrist or something. He glanced at her once again, noting each space of exposed skin.
((Lmao, there's a lot of exposed skin. She has to be able to get a hold of solar energy.))
Once she'd cleared enough space, a large clearing reminiscent of a boxing ring now, she pulled her hair up and out of the way as she made her way to her jacket, lying on the back of a chair. She rifled through the pockets, never seeming to actually take anything out, before turning to him with a grin. "Shall we?"
"Ladies first." He gave a slight bow, never taking his eyes off her form. He straightened and crouched slightly, bending his knees and waiting for her to make the first move.
"Oh, how sweet." She rolled her eyes, rolling her shoulders at the same time. She didn't usually start first, preferring to analyze the style of the other person using their first move, but she could deal. With incredible speed that had nothing to do with magic and everything to do with survival skills and training, she had a kick aimed at his gut.
Dylan grinned despite himself and caught her foot, wrapping one hand around her ankle. He didn't block it in time, and stumbled back. But he pulled her back with himself, and landed hard on the ground.
Kiania let out a short laugh as she fell, rolling as she hit the ground and twisting her foot free from his grip as she stood. "Impressive." She commented, waggling her eyebrows at him.
He grinned back at her, crouching and standing quickly. "Not bad yourself." His eyes flicked up and down once again, and he twisted forward, feinting a jab to the throat and bringing his leg up to kick her.
She blocked the feint and then the kick in rapid succession, switching once she'd registered that it was a fake hit. She twisted her arm, grabbing his leg and pulling essentially the same trick he had earlier, but managing to keep herself standing as she used the momentum to throw him to the ground.
Dylan's smile was gone, but he twisted around to throw his leg into her ankle and knock her off balance from where he was on the ground. He scrambled away and cracked his neck, bouncing to his feet and staying there for a second to watch her closely.
Kiania hit the ground, throwing in a little dramatic flair as she somersaulted backwards into a standing position, wrinkling her nose. "Rude! I walk on that led, you know!"
"Do you really? I coulda sworn you hopped around on the other one." He said, rubbing his head thoughtfully. He shifted on his feet, adrenaline making anxious, but logic keeping him from making the next move.
"Maybe I hop on both." She mused, forgoing her usual tactics to come at him first once more, barely giving him time to react. She didn't seem to have a set fighting style, changing up every few moves and never sticking to a pattern longer than one minute, making it incredibly hard to analyze her. There was a flash of metal in her hand, and then she was catching him in the side with the handle of a military grade folding knife.
Dylan raised an eyebrow. "So we're playing weapons?" He asked, gasping for breath as he tried to keep up and stay ahead. His eyes seemed to unfocus, and he stopped watching her. He was still moving, though, anticipating movements.
"No rules, pretty boy. If I want a knife, I got a knife." Kiania said with a grin, dancing out of the way and back to pause. She wasn't catching her breath, as it was obvious she had built up quite the endurance.
"Does no rules mean powers too?" He asked with a raised eyebrow, focusing again on that slim chance. Equal parts of him both wanted to use his power, but he wasn't sure about using it on her.
