Dylan shook his head slowly. "Right. So you're dating someone?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. "It'd better not be anyone I know."
Dylan shook his head slowly. "Right. So you're dating someone?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. "It'd better not be anyone I know."
Kiania just winked, and a groan sounded from over by one of the tables. "I'd appreciate if you two wouldn't ruin the sanctity of my science space with your flirting, thank you."
"Flirting? This isn't flirting." Dylan countered, returning the wink with a smirk. "Flirting would include more contact, and a little more backstory so we have something to go on."
"And what exactly does constitutes as 'backstory'?" Kiania asked, raising an eyebrow as she let Zee chew on her finger.
"I dunno. Enough life that I'd have something to tease you with. Like embarrassing childhood photos." He examined one hand, seemingly nonchalant.
"Pick up a tabloid." She muttered, before speaking up again. "Yeah, no. You don't even know my name, why would I give you my childhood photos?"
"I wouldn't be opposed to learning your name, either." He said, raising an eyebrow at her. "You know mine."
"That was your choice." She shot back easily, leaning back in the chair.
"Actually, you already know her last name." Doc pointed out helpfully, from where he was hunched over the gloves. "And her hero name, which, with a little digging, would very quickly lead you to her actual name."
"Then digging it is!" He clapped and turned to face her. "Although I have every intention of annoying you until I find out. Is it Penelope? Or Annie? Or Donna?"
She wrinkled her nose in distaste, shaking her head. "A, it's not any name that's that common. At least not a common white name. B, yuck. Donna? Do I look like a soccer mom?"
Dylan took the opportunity to look her up and down once again. "Well.. I guess not. Maggie? No, Zuri. Kiki? I could call you kiki."
"Nope, nope, and nope." Kiania said, using her feet to spin in the chair as she returned to texting. "Friendly hint, it starts with a K, but is not Kiki."
"I'll call you Kiki anyway. Kelly? Kara? Kendra? Katie? Katherine? Keeley?" He paused in his listing to think for a moment. "Kulu? Is that a name?"
"It's a village in Iran." Kiania said, shaking her head. "All wrong. Sorry, Dylan."
"Why not play hangman for it." Doc suggested offhandedly, pointing to the whiteboard on the wall.
"That is an excellent idea, Doc." Dylan bounced over to the chalkboard and brandished a found stub of chalk. "How many letters?"
"Who said I'd play?" Kiania asked, pausing her spinning to raise an eyebrow at him in amusement. "Six."
He drew quick marks on the board, filling in K for the first one. "Is there another K?" He paused, realizing he was playing wrong and threw the chalk to her.
She caught the marker, rolling her eyes as she moved Zee to her shoulders and tucked her phone away, before standing. "No. One letter lost." She said, making her way over and writing the alphabet down quickly, marking off k. She drew the head of the stick figure, looking over at him with an eyebrow raised.
Dylan raised an eyebrow. "A, E, I, O…" He trailed off to wait for his results, moving away from the board to give her space to write.
"Yes twice, no, yes twice again, no." Kiania said, writing down what was basically her name minus the n, and adding a few parts to the stick figure.
"That's a lot of vowels." He hesitated to think for a moment. "Kiaia… G? H? L?"
"Nope nope and nope." She grinned, adding onto the stick figure and crossing off the attempted letters/
Dylan bit his lip and narrowed his eyes at the stick figure of himself. "That doesn't look anything like me. Isn't it supposed to? And what about B? Or D?"
"Nope and nope." Kiania said, shaking her head. Zee flicked her tongue out at Dylan, almost looking disappointed, as Kiana added a mask to the stick figure. "There, it's you."
Dylan grinned. "Hardly. I'm significantly more muscular." He scanned the remaining letters. "F, G, H, J, M, N, P…"
