"Can I go…?" Atlas spoke uneasily.
"Can I go…?" Atlas spoke uneasily.
Kallie looked back at him. "If you want," she said quietly.
He shuffled away, tight-lipped and aggravated.
Kallie looked back at Tess, worried. "I don't think he understands."
Tess nodded and wrote G O.
Kallie turned and hurried after him.
Atlas clambered towards the daylight, giving her no mind.
"Atlas, wait!" she said, climbing towards him.
"What the actual hell was that?" He sputtered, fumbling onto the grass. "Can't I just have a normal day?'
"I'm sorry, did Tess scare you?" Kallie asked, finally catching up to him.
( curse word ahead )
"Hell yeah!" He exhaled harshly. "What the actual fuck, Kallie, is this normal for you?" Atlas was laughing, but only put of confusion and frustration, throwing his arms up.
She flinched. "Yeah…" Stay positive… stay positive… The sky began to turn grey.
He rubbed a hand down his face, "Let's just go, this was a dumb idea anyway,"
She looked down. "Okay," she whispered.
He slung his backpack around his shoulders and stormed off to the car.
A light drizzle began to surround them. Kallie numbly followed him.
The drizzle made him curse under his breath, now he was cold and wet. He hastily got into his car, tense and quiet.
Kallie sat in the passenger's seat. A silent tear slipped down her face and she quickly wiped it away.
He started up the car and pulled away. The rain turned the gravel into mud, making their trip much slower– making him more tense.
She bit her lip and tried as hard as she could to let the rain lessen.
Skip?
(To when they get home?)
Yea)
The rain had lightened up by the time they arrived in front of Kallie's house. "I-I'm sorry," she whispered.
"Goodnight." Was all Atlas said in response.
Kallie got out of the car and ran into the house. As soon as she was inside, the sky opened up and it poured.
Atlas pulled out of her driveway to span the short distance back to his house. He was just relieved this was done.
