"Why?" He snickered.
"Why?" He snickered.
"It's scary," she said quietly.
"It's bones," he retorted cockily.
She looked a little upset. "I know…"
He resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "Well, go ahead and leave then if you don't like it. I'm not keeping you down here,"
She took a deep breath. "No, i-it's fine."
"Sure you won't get scared?"
"No, but I have you."
Atlas just grunted. Needless to say, he was never used to anyone being so clingy. He wasn't sure if he enjoyed it or not.
Kallie bit her lip. Had she said the wrong thing?
He began to get kind of reckless, the further down they went, sliding on rock and taking haphazard leaps.
Kallie followed him slowly. "Be careful, Atlas," she suggested quietly.
Atlas shot her an impatient look. "You didn't have to follow me,"
"I wanted to," she said, slowly following his route.
He came to a steep edge, and peered down. They could hear water churning far below. "Woah.."
She looked down. "Oh, Tess…" she murmured.
"How far down do you think that is?" Atlas breathed.
"I'm not sure," she replied, then looked over at him. "You're not going to jump, are you?"
"That'd be a death sentence, Kallie. I'm not that stupid," Atlas exhaled.
"S-Sorry…" she murmured. The water began to swirl strangely.
He tilted the flashlight down to try and see it all down below.
Something shot out of the water and onto the ledge beside Kallie.
Kallie gasped at the sight – it was a girl made out of water.
She didn't speak, only smiled at the pair and waved shyly.
(Bump)
Atlas sighed a little, "How weird can you get, Kallie..?"
"I'm not doing that," Kallie murmured.
The water girl used her finger to write in the air.
