Anthony’s POV
The mercenary snorted loudly and turned away. “Right.”
Curious, Samuel shuffled towards the newcomer.

Winston’s POV
“A, please. I know I can trust him. He’s not as scary as he seems.” Winnie begged her, pouting.
Opals POV
Opal wanted to shy away from the creature but stood her ground. “ I am Opal, it’s nice to meet you.” She said, trying to jumpstart the conversation with her awkward social skills. She let the small creature move closer until it was almost touching her, but she made no move to flee.

Anthony grunted in response. "You already know who I am," he stated simply, sending Samuel a sharp glare when he tried to jump up on 'Opal'.
Winston’s POV
“A, please. I know I can trust him. He’s not as scary as he seems.” Winnie begged her, pouting.
"Goddammit, Winston!" Ae-Ri hissed, tossing her helmet onto the couch. "You can't trust everyone like this! He could be tricking you! I don't care that he's working for the Guard right now, he—-Wait a minute." Her eyes narrowed. "Do you have a crush on him?"
Opals POV
“I know your name, but I don’t know you.” Opal said hesitantly, telling herself she was crazy for pushing it with a mercenary with his reputation, but she knew that if Winston trusted him, she should at least try. “Like, what do you like?”

Anthony’s POV
Anthony sighed through his nose. “I like it when people leave me alone.”

Winston’s POV
“No! What— I hardly know him!” Winnie defended, trying hide the nervous blush on his cheeks.
Opal smiled a little less, “And I like it when people answer questions seriously.” She summoned all the lessons she learned in a confidence class. She glanced down, and after a moment of indecision, picked up the creature. It was cute, in a sort of scary way, and it’s eyes were what drew her in.
Ae-Ri
Ae-Ri sighed a second time. “Sure, yeah. But I want you to check in with me. Text me every two or three hours. Okay?”
Anthony
“That was a completely serious answer,” he replied, annoyed.
Opals POV
Opal sighed, this was getting no where. She mentally debated, while subconsciously petting the small creature, just scrolling through his mind, but decided not to. Who knows what she’d run across. She looked down into her hands, the answer was right there. “Alright, then why do you travel with these creatures?” She asked, hoping to again, rejuvenate the conversation, but thought she might as well have been talking to a brick wall.
Anthony scowled. “They’re useful. If I was permanently with the Phantom Alliance, I would call them my minions.”
Opal POV
Opal frowned. This was heading backwards, he seemed to dislike her more than he had before. She sighed, “Do you know of Pasithea?” She asked, trying much less than before to build a conversation, but still wantin to talk. With the added bonus of being able to find out info on Sienna.
Anthony’s POV
He turned his head towards her and lifted an eyebrow in question. “Not much. Why?”
Opal POV
Opal blushed despite purely honest intentions. “No reason, Ae-Ri caught her today with that one guy. Feedback, or Loophole, or Outcast, or something like that.” An idea popped in Opals head. “Do you know what his actual name is?”
“Outlet?” Anthony chuckled dryly. “I’ve heard a few rumours. His first name is Alec. Last name starts with a soft ‘ch’.”
Ae-Ri
Ae-Ri sighed a second time. “Sure, yeah. But I want you to check in with me. Text me every two or three hours. Okay?”
Winston’s POV
Winston nodded, realizing this was as close to acceptance as he was going to get from Ae-Ri. “He—He’s not as bad as he pretends to be, A. He can be real sweet when he thinks nobody’s lookin’…” He trailed off, trying to soothe his best friend’s worries.
“I don’t give a shit,” the hero said bluntly, crossing her arms. “If he raises a single hand against you, he’s out.”
Winston’s POV
Winnie decided now was not the time to let Ae-Ri know that Remedy had assumed control of his body several times today already. “I know, I know. I just— I got a good feelin’ ‘bout him.” He shrugged bashfully, pretending to concern himself with a smudge on the floorboard underneath his feet.
Opals POV
“Thanks.” Opal said, feeling a little better now that she could tell Sienna, Outlets name. “You know, I think you’re a lot nicer than you seem. Otherwise Winnie wouldn’t trust you. But if it makes you feel better, you’re still very scary.”
Ae-Ri's POV
Ae-Ri snorted loudly. "I bet you twenty bucks that you'll want him out by the end of the week."
Anthony's POV
Anthony nearly laughed out loud. "Believe what you want…" he answered, amused, "But don't blame me when you find yourself horrible incorrect."
Winston’s POV
“Don’t be mean, A.” Winnie pouted, but he was clearly teasing back now. “You aren’t mad at me, right?”
Ae-Ri's POV
"I'm….." She tilted her head in thought. "Frustrated. And probably never leaving you alone again. I swear to god, I turn around for two minutes, and—"
Opals POV
Opal let out a small sigh. “Whatever you say.” She then took a moment to reflect on her own statement. “But I think that I have been hanging with villains a little to much.” She tried joking lightly.
Winston’s POV
“I’ll text you every couple of hours. Don’t worry ‘bout it, okay? I’ll be alright.” Winnie smiled, although he was trying to convince himself of his own words.
