Opals POV
Opal smiled. Alright, I’ll do my best to help you, Pasithea. I promise.
Sienna’s POV
Call me Sienna, darling. I’d rather you hear my name from me than from some ridiculous file back at you headquarters.

Call me Sienna, darling. I’d rather you hear my name from me than from some ridiculous file back at you headquarters.
Opals POV
Opal blushed at Siennas words, and she didn’t even know why. Alright, I will call you by your name, Sienna. Thank you for trusting me.
Sienna’s POV
Of course, Opal. I have a good feeling about you.
Winston’s POV
Winnie nodded, catching the comb. He demonstrated how to brush through his hair with the comb a couple times before holding it out for Remedy to take. “Think you got it? Also there’s an unopened toothbrush in the bathroom you can use before you go to bed tonight.”
"I've got my own.." he muttered, adding a silent thank you in his head before attempting to copy Winston's motions. He had the kind of hair that was easily finger-combed and short enough to seem neat despite its many tangles, so he never had much use for a comb. But now..
Ae-Ri's POV
Ae-Ri and Opal spent most of the walk from headquarters to Winston's house in total silence, unsure what to say now that the cause of their initial argument was locked in a cell somewhere. Finally, after climbing several flights of stairs because of the constantly-gull elevator, they arrived at his front door. Ae-Ri exhaled slowly, and knocked.
Winston’s POV
Winnie’s eyes widened with panic as soon as he heard the knock on the door. “A—er… Mirage is gonna kill me if she knows you’re here.” He frantically whispered, his gaze flashing from Remedy to the door.
Anthony's POV
Anthony arched an eyebrow. "So… you're just going to hide the fact that I'm staying with you… for the next few months? Answer the door, Winston. It may not even be her."
Opals POV
Opal stayed quiet in the tense silence of their walk, she didn’t know what to talk about with Ae-Ri. She quietly sighed, thankfully they were already here, and Winnie would have been able to help them.
Winston let out an indecisive groan, the door suddenly a lot more imposing than he remembered. “But I like you and Mirage. Y’all don’t like each other though… what if she yells at us?” He continued to whisper, his palms clamming up nervously.
Anthony's POV
Anthony, taking full advantage of the upper hand he had now gained, let out an exasperated groan. "God, Winston. Here, I'll do it for you." Before the other boy could react, he was standing, crossing the living room, and opening the front door.
Opals POV
Opal took a step back, wondering who had just opened the door. She nearly toppled into a nearby planter.
Winston’s POV
Winnie’s anxiety level skyrocketed. He practically flew across the room, terrified out of his mind and glowing like a spotlight. “I can explain! I can explain!”
Ae-Ri's POV
Ae-Ri, who had removed her cumbersome helmet, nearly dropped it on her toe. "What the fuck??" she growled, taking an instinctive step backwards as fear tore through her body. Remedy. What was he doing here?! "What have you done with—"
She was cut off by the sound of the familiar panicked shouts of her best friend. "Winston? What the hell are you doing with him??"
Opal looked at the man in the doorway as Winston broke through, trying to make sense what was happening. Then she realized who it was, and ended up practically echoing Ae-Ris question, but not in half as intimidating a voice “What is he doing here?”
Winston quickly put himself in between Ae-Ri and Remedy, shooing the boy away from the door. “Can you go check on the pizza? Please?” He practically begged trying to figure out how to get through this without crying.
Ae-Ri watched in disbelief as fucking Remedy himself offered an infuriatingly elegant shrug and backed away from the door. She pushed her way inside, pulling Opal after, and once the door was closed, absolutely lost it.
"Why the hell is he in your house??"
OpalsPOV
Opal slunk back slightly, Ae-Ri seemed to be more mad than she was with Pasit- no Sienna. This may not end well for Winnie, but if he trusts him… Trusting in her friend she slyly made her way into the kitchen, hoping and dreading to meet this Remedy.
Winston backed up immediately, fear coursing through his veins. “Ae-Ri, I—I… I can explain! Please don’t yell at me! I swear he’s fine!”
Ae-Ri's POV
Clearly struggling to calm herself down, Ae-Ri turned to uselessly punch the wall out of frustration. "He's a murderer! He's dangerous!" She forced her volume to lower. "Why is he here with his monsters?"
Winston’s POV
Winnie’s eyes were already watering from being scolded. “They… They aren’t monsters.” He replied faintly, wiping at his eyes while his voice cracked. “They’re really sweet.” He took a shaky breath, trying to explain himself. “For my briefing… they wanted me to go searchin’ for Remedy and recruit him since he showed up to us last night. An’ I found him livin’ in this abandoned butcher shop. Since he’s working for us anyways now I just…”
A surge of guilt overwhelmed Ae-Ri the moment she saw the tears staining her best friend’s face. “Sorry..” she muttered, softening her voice. “I’m just frustrated. First, I found Opal at lunch with fucking Pasithea. Now you’re housing Remedy???” She threw her hands into the air. “I left you alone for three hours!!”

Anthony turned at the sound of approaching footsteps, struggling to keep his expression neutral as he tuned in to Winston and Mirage’s conversation. “Yes?”
Winston’s POV
“He’s really nice! I blinded myself when I fell through the floor of the old factory and he fixed my vision! Like completely, A! I can see so much better now. And his critters are real cuddly.” Winnie ranted, sniffling a bit still.
Ae-Ri
“He’s. A. Murderer,” she forced out through gritted teeth. “And I’m happy about your vision. But he could kill you!!”
Opals POV
“Uhm, Hi.” Opal stuttered out, fully realizing that she was now alone with Remedy, and becoming increasingly aware of the things around him. “I just came to meet you. Ae-Ri is giving Winston an earful right now but if he trusts you, I think I can too.” She finished nervously.
