The land of Issorim is filled with creatures that people from this world would consider unbelievable. Ghouls, therianthropes, naga, griffins, hippogriffs, harpies… all sorts of creatures. Though people in Issorim have learned more on these creatures, not everyone is informed on how to fight these creatures. Ward them off maybe..but killing one is another story.
And again - the variety in them. Danger levels. Maybe a common farmer could take care of a few wild dogs - but a dragon? One of the most dangerous beasts there is!
The Kingdom - or country, of Raetus, is one of many in Issorim. Yet it is the largest, possibly most powerful of all. It has several towns, cities, whatever you want to call them. Wolford, a town noted to be located in the ‘danger ring’, is high in population. Yet most of its population would be third class, middle class - the commoners, whatever you wish. The people who can’t afford to leave Wolford. Sure, it’s protected. But you can’t walk too far from the town itself. Herbalism? Becomes risky work when you go out into the woods to fetch some herbs, only for a Dire Wolf to come across you.
Even hunting the creatures to tame their populations becomes tougher work.
Back to our creatures, not all are hunted - though come are more..disliked, let’s say. Therianthropes, for example - werecats, werewolves, wereanimals, or former wereanimals; ‘cured’ as they say - feared, cast off as weird. Some can be feral of course, but not all are bad. Some take measures to make sure they don’t hurt others, some learn how to control their abilities.
Cyclops as well aren’t too bad. Some species, worse than others. But smaller species? Work as blacksmiths in human civilizations.
Then you have the Lich. Something different all together. Now, no one knows if the Lich are still around. No ones seen a Lich in over two centuries give or take - only rumoured, like the boy who cried Dire Wolf. But Lich - portrayed as beings of evil, usually. It’s never been recorded for Lich to be good creatures. But who knows. Two centuries have gone by - if there are any left, maybe they’ve changed? Or not. Lich shouldn’t be confused for Living Skeletons either.
And of course, demons. Demons, originally, don’t wander the top of the world. They need to be freed. By anything. Any chance, they’ll get. Some demons look like humans, others look like indescribable horrors. Demons can also be fought and sent back to wherever they came from. Or killed, a harder feat.
In the village of Wolford, life is hard. But it becomes even harder when a Grey Dragon begins to terrorize from the West. A Grey Dragon is one of the strongest there is, especially when they’re centuries old like this one. Black Dragons may be more aggressive, but Grey Dragons have something they don’t. Notable for being magic users - all dragons can absorb magic, but not all can use it.
Ah yes, magic. Certain creatures use it. Others don’t. Humans don’t have magic. Sorry. At least the common form of it, though. We can make potions, though. And summons.
Because of that Grey Dragon, it’s become dangerous to leave the town. Oddly enough, the Grey Dragon hasn’t flown down to Wolford, only seen on the outskirts of town, flying around like a giant eel awaiting its prey. Or maybe, looking for something. But what could it want from Wolford?
In order to solve the problem, the Kingdom of Raetus has sent several mercenaries to deal with the problem. They can’t send their own soldiers, why? Too busy fighting the war up North. Or too much of a hassle.
They should take care of the beast - soon, it’ll be a little safer to walk the lands of Wolford again.
So here’s my new RP, TSA. You play (whoever joins this RP) a supposed human, living in Wolford. You’ve lived there since birth.
Me, one of the ‘mercenaries’ comes in, and my character does his job. Tries to, anyways. Characters meet somehow, plot goes on from there. Now, there are some plot twists.
My character is one of those Lichs. A hidden Lich, looking for his revenge on..someone. And your character is an Angel - or at least, somewhat of one. Your character has no clue they’re an angel; not even a full angel, either. You don’t have wings or a halo or anything like that. You look human. Aside from your magic, which you won’t be using at the beginning of the RP. You won’t be aware you have it up until a certain point..
..however, I’d like to say that Angel can sense certain creatures like beings of undead or demons better than others. When my ‘disguised Lich’ comes into town, your character can tell something’s off. What do they feel? Curiosity? Fear? Neutral? You decide. It’s only a matter of time before the secret’s out. This ‘sense’ ability can also come into handy.
Oh and you’ve got other abilities too. We’ll talk about those more on into RP.
Here’s the rules
- In the event of a fight as usual, no autohitting, but please do not dodge everything either. Common sense.
- Let me know if you’ll be inactive, and I’ll do the same.
- I allow swearing, as usual. And blood and violence, but like rule 1, I’m not sure where the violence will happen…
- No one liners!
- Please try to use proper grammar.
- I ask that your reply at least be at least two lines long.
- Try to be okay with mature stuff!
- All basic RP rules apply.
- List may or may not change. Dunno.
- Please don’t let this die within a week
- I’d like semi-lit RPers dipping into literate as well. Please.
- I’d also like for whoever joins this to be committed. Preferring this to be long term, do not be afraid to BUMP the rp.
My Timezone: (this doesn’t really matter, I’ll RP with anyone as long as you follow the rules) EST
If you have any questions, like about magic, lore, creatures, etc, run them by me. These questions don’t have to be OOC either, maybe you’re curious about what a Giant Eel is and you decide to ask my character.
Here’s the template. I ask that you use this template, AND delete the brackets when filling it out. Please. Sorry if it’s a bit of a hefty template, but it is important!
