“You provoked me, Hook. What other choice did I have?” Peter said, flushing hotter with embarrassment. Tinkerbell had flown into a corner now, just peering out to address the scene. She flew up to Hook, tugging on his arm and squeaking angrily, but not to Hook. She flew up between their faces and addressed Peter, her squeaking getting louder every passing minute as she lectured him. “Yeah, yeah, I get it. Horrible person, blah blah.” he snapped to her.
"Provoked." He scoffed, shaking his head. After a moment, he suddenly released Peter, drawing to his feet with an indrawn hiss of pain, closing his eyes for a moment. He swayed a little, steadying himself with a hand on the table. "Just get out." He snapped, knowing he would need to remove his shirt and bind his ribs up to reduce the pain. For the moment, he drew out a handkerchief, drenching it with water from a pitcher and wiping at his face with it, scrubbing away the blood.
