(Okay…what's the idea? Is Natalia a hostage?)
(Okay…what's the idea? Is Natalia a hostage?)
(of such)
(could i have like a few details por favor so my character isn't flying blind)
TK nodded, mentally mapping the building. The 29th floor was the highest floor in the building, from what she remembered reading. There was heavily armed security at each door and several roaming the halls. "Natalia is likely somewhere in the center of the west wing, correct?"
(not really, just… go along with it)
"My scan's show that she's in a room further to the left." Carter put her gauntlet on what others would call 'sleep mode' and she readied herself with the beginning of the mission. She dropped down onto the floor in a section that was unguarded. As she looked around the corner, she could see that the room Natalia was in was heavily guarded.
(…..okay then, lol. I'll just try to make sure my character doesn't sound like she didn't read the brief at all lmao)
TK landed softly beside her, speaking in a low voice. "I count eight," she murmured. Her hand reached for her gun. She'd likely have to use it. Although she'd prefer silent take downs, it was improbable with that many guards.
(sorry, but it's ok since it will make it better if she doesnt really know what's going on)
Carter sensed that she was wanting to use her gun. "No guns," She hissed. "Too much distraction." She fished out a small device from her pocket and started to fix it onto TK, pressing the button. She then did this to herself. Carter turned into Natalia, and TK turned into Natalia's brother. "Cloaking device," She whispered, her voice sounding like Natalia's.
"If she's a hostage," TK whispered back, her hand still on her weapon, "then won't it be…I don't know, a bit suspicious that she and her brother are just wandering around?"
"She's not a hostage," Carter explained. "You just got told that in the brief because your clearance isn't high enough for you to know what's actually going on."
"Absolute bullshit," she hissed, her jaw clenching. "If I can't know what we're actually doing, why am I on this mission?"
"Let me tell you something. You're not supposed to be on this mission with me. Iniko is. There was a freak glitch in the system, and you were paired with me. By the time if came for briefing, it was too late to reassign. So they withdrew information from you."
TK's shoulders tensed. "God, the best spy agency in the world fucks up that badly? Here I thought they were actually decent."
(hey are you okay with swearing or should I tone it down??)
(fuck yeah you can swear
heh
that rhymes)
Carter took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. She latched onto TK's elbow, keeping a cool composition. "Let's go, brother."
"Fine, fine," she mumbled. She wished she had half an idea how the brother acted, or what the hell was going on, but she decided to cool it. At least for the time being. Although she was really itching for a good fight right around now. "Where to, Natalia?"
Although her voice was masked, Carter could tell that TK didn't know how to act. "Maybe don't speak. Let me do the talking." She tugged on TK's arm as they started to walk down the hall towards the room.
"Whatever," she said noncommittally. She wasn't here to talk anyways. She reluctantly allowed herself to be led down the hall.
"Hello, boys," Carter cooed in Natalia's voice. Natalia was quite beautiful, and being told she was a desired specimen herself, Carter knew how to act.
"Miss Heinze, how did you get out?"
"Oh? Well, I simply had to go down for dinner."
TK stayed quiet as Carter charmed the guards. She tried to keep her expression neutral, but it was becoming more and more obvious to her that she wasn't ready for this kind of field work.
"Yes, Ms Heinze. But you can't take those devices in," The guard said. "And neither can you, Mr Heinze. You'll have to take them off."
TK stiffened. Did the guard mean the devices they were wearing to mask their appearance? She felt her muscles tensing up and all she wanted was to disarm the guard before he even saw her coming. She began to loosen her grip on her partner, ready for a battle.
"Certainly," Carter smiled. She reached up and took the device off, and her face slowly melted to…Natalia's. She had a backup plan, and she had it on TK as well without the agent's knowledge. She turned to TK and took the device off, and her face turned in Natalia's brother's.
TK breathed a silent sigh. Both relief and irritation spread through chest. She really wanted to knock some heads together, as soon as possible, and she was tired of being kept in the dark. She felt useless and frustrated, and soon she'd start taking things in her own hands. Regardless of what her partner said.
Carter dropped TK's elbow. "May we go through?" She asked.
"Certainly."
"Who is this?!" A female voice yelled, and as the two disguised women turned.
"Oh fuck," Carter cursed, recognising the woman as Natalia.
"I've had enough of this," TK snarled, yanking off her device and revealing herself. She whipped around at breathtaking speed, grabbing the real Natalia and holding a gun to her head. "Alright, everyone, she's coming with us. Make one wrong move and I blow her pretty little head off."
"Oh for fucks sake, Aim! We need Natalia alive! We're not assassins!" She took off the secondary device, revealing herself as Carter.
"Agent Byte!" The guards yelled. Carter cracked her neck.
"Let's get this over and done with."
