Asura wondered if he should say something. He also wondered what Zackary was doing out in the cold, with a large bag at his side, smoking a cigarette when he should be home by now. It wasn't really any of his business, but sometimes Asura's curiosity and concern got the best of him. "Hey, Zackary?"
Zackary sighed out a breath of smoke and glanced over. “Wonderful to see you again,” His voice was growly and angry. “What do you want?”
"What are you doing outside?" He asked bluntly, ignoring his irritation at the man's tone.
“I can’t sit down?” He asked sarcastically. “I got evicted because I didn’t want to sacrifice my savings.”
Asura went a little tense, looking at the bag, and then back at Zackary again. And then he understood. "So you're… you don't…" he struggled to find words for a moment. "You're just going to stay out here all night? Do you not have anywhere else to go?"
“Nope,” Zackary popped the p. “I’m out here by myself in the cold. But I don’t really care. I’ve lived like this before.”
"You're going to freeze to death out here," he aruged. "You can't just live outside."
Zackary shrugged. “I’ll be alright. Like I said, I’ve done it before.”
"No you won't, it's like 10 degrees out!" He huffed and crossed his arms, getting colder and more impatient by the second. "I can't just let you stay out here."
Zackary shrugged. “Too bad. I’ll stay here.” He didn’t really feel the cold. He glt used to it a while back.
(how do I do this lashglkjsdfhglkjshdglkhsdlkfbaldskgblsdkfjfg)
(it's going to be gay but it's also going to be awkward sorry)
"You could do that," he said. "Or you could stay at my place for a little while, where there's heat, a bed, and some lions to cuddle with if you're not too scared."
(Lol I don’t mind)
Zackary huffed up at him. “Why would I stay with you? And how in the world would I get more money?” Despite this answer, he looked thoughtful.
"Look for a new job. One that pays more than the literal hell hole you work in," he suggested. "And I don't know about you, but I'd say that staying in a warm house with food beats staying out on the streets, no matter how much you may hate me. But it's your choice."
Zackary shouldered his bag and stood up with a sigh. “Fine. I’ll stay with you.” He liked the thought of the friendly lions to snuggle with.
Asura blinked, a bit surprised. He kind of expected to get yelled at. "It's only a couple of blocks from here," he said, turning to lead the way.
Zackary shifted the pack on his back and nodded. “Lead the way…” He followed Asura as he stepped off.
(time skip to when they're home or should we just have them talk and be gay for now)
(kk)
Asura sighed with relief when he got home, switching the lights on and flopping over gratefully in the living room chair. It was warm inside, and nice, and he was so exhausted he could've fallen asleep right there if it weren't for the fact that he was still in a suit. "Just toss your stuff wherever. You can take the bed tonight, I won't mind the floor," he mumbled into the chair. That's a lie, you fucking hate the floor you moron, he thought to himself.
Zackary shook his head and set his things down, plopping down on the carpet. “I can sleep on the floor. I don’t care.” He yawned and stretched. The velvet carpet was nice and comfy on his ass and back.
(oh my god that last sentence lmao)
"The bed is better. I have silk sheets," he said, lifting himself out of the chair and making his way to his room so he could get a change of clothes.
