Sorin stood up and pointed to the rack of weights in the corner of the room, but he couldn't help but regret not pretending to not know where they were.
Sorin stood up and pointed to the rack of weights in the corner of the room, but he couldn't help but regret not pretending to not know where they were.
Cas went over to it and picked out the weights with the number '15' on them. He held one in each hand without too much difficulty as he walked back over to Sorin.
"Oh god… is it to hard for you to carry? Do you want me to help you?"
"Love, I'm fine." Cas started curling each weight to demonstrate. "See?"
Seeing him at ease subsided Sorin's fear slightly which allowed him to sit back down on his bench press– however, he was still wary of lifting in fear he might get hurt.
Cas leaned against the wall to continue what he was doing. He could tell his arms were going to get tired soon, but he'd already decided that he wasn't going to stop when they were.
Sorin took a deep breath and lied down on the bench press and had began to lift his weights. He occasionally glanced at Cas to make sure he was alright but overtime he grew accustomed to not looking at him.
Cas felt his arms growing sore and weak, but he kept going. He wouldn't get stronger if he didn't push himself, right? He was doing a pretty decent job of hiding the fact that he was struggling.
Sorin had almost completely forgotten about him and couldn't smiled to himself after realizing he was worrying too much. He seemed to be doing fine on his own, which made him worry even less about him.
Cas was still going several minutes later despite his muscles screaming at him to stop. Even through his best efforts, he was showing a little strain now.
Sorin glanced at him but continued to lift his weights. "Casper? You good hun?"
"Mhmm…" Cas nodded stiffly and kept going. If I just keep my focus, I'll be fine…
"Are you… sure? Do you need anything?"
He nodded again, continuing for a couple more minutes. He was really starting to struggle now, and his grip was weakening, but he kept stubbornly continuing on.
Sorin stopped and put the weight down before studying Cas for a few seconds. "I'll go get us some water."
"'Kay…" Cas replied, his voice a little strained. His arms trembled ever so slightly while his muscles continued screaming at him to stop.
Sorin came back with two glasses of water and set them down on the nearest table before walking over to Cas. He gently pried the weights from him and set them down. "I think that should be good."
"B-But love…" Cas whined, reaching for the weights again. "How am I gonna get stronger if you don't let me have the weights?"
"Weights aren't the only thing you know. I just don't want you to overdue it," Sorin pressed his lips against his cheek and handed him a glass, "Here."
Cas sighed softly and sipped the water, still allowing the wall to support the majority of his weight.
Sorin downed a reasonable amount of water before setting the glass back down. "I think you've had enough for today."
"Noooo…" Cas whined weakly. His hands and arms were shaking a bit as he held the glass of water.
"Yes," Sorin looked at glanced at his hand staring directly at him. "We could come back tomorrow, but today should be enough."
Cas sighed and took another sip of the water. "Alright, alright… I gotta get stronger, though."
"You don't have to, Cas. I don't want you to think that's something you have to do."
