Sorin threw the blanket over him and decided it would be better if he were to wear clothes. He ensured that the blanket was wrapped tightly around him before carrying him up the stairs.
Cas purred softly when Sorin bundled him up and started carrying him. The tip of his tail poked out of the blanket.
Sorin glanced and gave him a small smile before resting him on the bed. "Since you're cold, i'll lend you one of my sweaters to keep you extra warm for today," he said as he began rummaging in his drawers.
"Yaaaay…" Cas murmured quietly, snuggling into the blanket for warmth.
He chuckled briefly before he pulled out a sweater and approached him. "Do you want me to help you put it on, or would you like to do it yourself."
Cas just tiredly held up his arms, his eyes still closed. He turned his ears back and his tail flicked a bit.
"Yeah, I figured," he said softly and carefully pulled down the sweater over his head. Sorin poked the tip of his nose and smiled before resting his head back down.
"Thaaaanks, love…" Cas huddled back into the blankets, sticking his tongue out a bit.
Sorin sat next to him and stroked his hair softly. "Want me to get you anything?"
"I just wanna cuddle…" Cas hugged Sorin tightly, nuzzling against his chest.
"Aww," he smiled and lied down with him. "Are you sure you don't need anything else though?"
"Mhmm…" Cas cuddled closer, a contented smile lingering on his face. "I love you…"
"I know… I love you too," Sorin smiled as well and held him against himself.
"G'night…" Cas gently kissed Sorin's jaw and yawned, dozing off soon after.
Sorin planted a soft kiss on his head and continued to hold him. He didn't really feel all that tired, but he figured tiredness would come at some point. His hands held onto the blanket and tightened it around Cas to make sure he was warm.
Cas stuck his tongue out a bit in his sleep, purring softly. He seemed to be pretty content, at least for the time being.
Sorin smiled at him again and lied there before he decided to leave him momentarily. He ran down the stairs to take care of other household duties with the occasional thought of Cas and Berenice crossing his mind.
Cas tangled himself into the blankets in Sorin's absence, managing to get comfortable enough to stay asleep for now.
After a while of re-cleaning the place and taking care of the laundry, Sorin went into the basement to exercise. Part of him didn't really think Cas would mind it, yet he couldn't help but still feel worried that he'd wake up and panic– then again, he wasn't going to be there for too long.
Cas woke up after a few minutes and looked around the room. Realizing he was alone, he jumped to his feet, his tail flicking anxiously. "Sorin?!" He called out into the house.
Sorin wasn't all that surprised to just barely being able to touch the equipment before Cas called out to him. He didn't really mind it though, understanding that it wasn't his fault. He made his way up the stairs and called out to him. "I'm downstairs, Cas!"
Cas quickly came down the stairs and jumped into Sorin's arms, hugging him tightly. He buried his face in the other's chest as he trembled slightly. "I-I thought you'd left…"
Confusion crossed his features as he looked down at Cas. "Why would I?" Sorin wrapped his arms around him and began to gently stroke his hair. "I have no reason to."
"I… I dunno… I just get scared that maybe Berenice will come and take you and hurt you or… or… I-I just… I dunno…" Cas curled his tail up between his legs.
"I appreciate you worrying for me, Cas, but i'm not going anywhere," Sorin lowered his head and planted a small kiss on his lips.
