(ooohoho just you wait0
Tyler cried out as he fell down the stairs, crashing to the bottom and growling. He felt pain shoot up his body and his leg burned. He jumped on all fours and snarled, climbing up the stairs and slamming against of the door. It was metal, he didn't make a dent. Tyler retreated back into the dark cell and curled up in the corner, his real self still hiding beneath the demon, hopeless.
(Noooooooooooooo)
Bright white lights filled her vision. She was lying some sort of thin mattress. People in white moved around above her. Anxious whispers filled the room. Macha struggled to sit up, struggled to scream as a knife dig into her stomach. “She’s awake!”, someone yelled, panicked. “Oh my god she’s awake put her back on the anesthetic now.” Something was plunged into her arm, and everything went black again.
(She’s being given surgery to remove the bullets. I have no idea how surgery works)
(yyeeyeyee)
Tyler felt the demon take control of his movement. Insane…you're going insane.. Tyler thought, the demon snarling and clawing at his face.
Insane… you’re going insane… Macha dreamed of blood and black eyes and feathers spiralling to the ground. She dreamed of demons crawling out of the ground and pulling her back down with them, of being burned alive and kisses that killed. Tyler…
She woke up with a jolt, eyes flying open. It took a moment for her disoriented brain to figure out where she was. She was in a stark white hospital room. Her stomach felt like it was on fire. Tyler was nowhere to be seen.
She sat up immediately, heart pounding, but strong arms caught her. “Mach, calm down. You’re okay, you’re— you’re in the hospital.” Her head whirled around. Her father was sitting in a chair by her bed, dark circles under his eyes. He looked as if he’d aged ten years. “You’re okay.”
“Wha—what happened??” Macha’s wings had disappeared at some point, she no longer felt the pain of her mangled wing. Her father took a deep breath. “You were shot, Mach. You were shot.” It took a moment for it to sink in. “That’s— not possible.” She yanked up her shirt up, felt around her back, and sure enough, there was a perfectly round, smooth hole in her stone skin. It was plugged by some sort of metal. Macha felt sick. She’d been shot in a place other than her wings only once before, and the bullet had glanced off her stone skin. The doctor’s had told her that it couldn’t be penetrated. But it had been. The people who took Tyler had a way to hurt her.
Tyler. Oh my god Tyler. “Tyler. He was with me— where—“ She was interrupted by the sound of the door opening. A man in white doctor’s uniform walked in, and Macha’s eyes widened when she saw his face. It was the man who had shot her.
(Is this okay?)
(holyshit of course that was amazing)
Tyler shivered slightly in the cold of the cell. It was dark and he could hardly even see the stairs he had been pushed down. He felt the Demon calming down and retreating to the back of his mind. He could think straight again. Macha? Macha can you hear me?.. He asked hopefully, leaned back against the wall and sighing in despair.
(Aw thank you! My friend loves your new username [the hardcore TØP fan) btw)
Fear, pure and undiluted fear, mingled with the burning pain in her back and stomach. OhmygodTylerohmygodohmygod. The doctor walked closer, his face a mask of kind concern. Macha flattened herself against the wall, mind racing. Holy shit Tyler oh my god where are you are you okay?????
(lol thx. Love yours too xD)
Oh thank god..what happened? Where are you? Did you go outside? He asked frantically, not answering her questions.
(Lol thanks)
There was a man. He shot me. I’m at the hospital. He’s the doctor who just walked in. Where are you???? Are you okay??? “Macha.”, the doctor said kindly. “How are you recovering?”
Macha I told you not to go outside! Get out of the hospital as soon as you can. He said, standing up and walking around a bit.
“I hope you’re feeling better,” the ‘doctor’ said when she didn’t answer, “Unfortunately you’ll have to stay with us for the next few months, you almost died and we’re still not sure what the consequences of that will be what with your… stone skin.” Macha’s heart stopped. That might be an issue., she told Tyler. And I wouldn’t have gone outside if you hadn’t given yourself up. You still haven’t answered me, are you okay??
I had to give myself up Macha, what else would I have done? You could've gotten hurt more and I couldn't risk that. The demon growled a little but he pushed it away.
Macha didn’t reply to him, too busy fending off a panic attack as the ‘doctor’ stopped right in front of her. Her breaths were quick and strained, her hands shook, her eyes were wide open and terrified, with a night of rage behind then. “Macha?” His brow furrowed. “Are you okay?”
Macha? Is everything okay? He felt her fear and started to worry.
Macha summoned all her courage, envisioning Tyler, bloodied and tied up at the mercy of these people. “I’m fine. Just… disoriented.”, she managed.
Macha! He started to panic, feeling her emotions as strong as his own.
The doctor frowned. “Alright. I’m going to have to run some tests on you, is that okay. Nonononono it is not okay. She didn’t say that of course. Just nodded weakly. I’ll get out as soon as I can.
I'll try to get out of here. Don't let him touch you, or do anything. Tyler walked back up the stairs and sat waiting, hoping they would open it.
Be careful. “And we’re going to put you in some medication, just to ease your pain.” Hell no. The ‘medication’ was probably something to make her forget, or worse, kill her. She’d have to spit it out or something. “The bullet was lodged in your stomach, you lost a lot of blood, but we managed to save you. We’ve got someone trying to figure out what it was made of and how it was able to harm you, but a lot is uncertain. You don’t exactly have the anatomy of a regular person. For the next four months or so, we just want you to lie back and rest. Okay?” Macha managed a shaky nod. The ‘doctor’ sat down. “Do you remember much about how you were shot? Who shot you?” Macha could see a warning in his eyes. If she tatted him out, Tyler was as good as dead, and so was she. “I was just walking home from.. the library. All of a sudden, a man jumped in front of me with a gun. I tried to run, and he shot me.”
Don't take the medication Macha. Stay calm. It'll be okay. He tried reassuring her.
I'm trying my best. And I'll just spit the medicine out somewhere… If it's a pill I could stuff it under the mattress? Bury it in a potted plant? She was trying to feign nonchalance and it wasn't working. She was terrified, and she was angry. And she wanted Tyler back, safe, with her. Don't hurt yourself trying to escape. I'll try as best as I can to get out as soon as possible. The 'doctor' nodded. "We'll have the police in here soon, they'll ask you to describe your shooter, maybe make a police sketch." The warning in his eyes turned to a threat. She merely nodded.
Ill do whatever it takes to get to you Macha. Just stay safe.
(awwww he's so sweet omgggg)
I love you. The 'doctor' rocked back on his heels and smiled openly at her, no trace of the vicious look in his eyes remaining. "Feel better. I'll leave you to talk with your father now."
(❤️My boi)
Tyler breathed out heavily. He had to get out of here, somehow. I love you too. He answered, missing her so much.
The 'doctor' left the room and Macha felt a huge wave of relief crashing down on her, not only from his blessed absence, but also from the knowledge that Tyler was alive, and that they could still communicate. A hard lump of trauma, rage, panic, and loss sat in her chest, bringing tears to her eyes, which she angrily wiped away. She was not weak. She was strong, and she was going to make it through this, get out of the hospital, and get to Tyler. To hell with anyone who tried to stop her. Her father cleared his throat, squeezing her hand. After a lot of "You had be worried sick"s, "I'm so glad you're safe"s, and "You are never walking home alone again"s, he left her to rest.
Are you alone? He asked her as he started pacing again.
