Marina's eyes widened and she blushed.
Marina's eyes widened and she blushed.
Cas choked on his food "mama?!" he caught his breath and glanced at Marina with an apologetic smile "que? did I say something wrong?" She said with an innocent smile. "I know about the box in your room," she said
His eyes got wide
Marina looked at Cas curiously. "Box? What box?"
"A….box…." he said, shooting glares at his mother.
"Your welcome," she said sweetly and exited the room
Marina's eyes followed Lena from the room, the looked back over as Cas. "What is she talking about?"
He sighed and ate another mouthful of food before continuing "I've had it for a while," He went upstairs to his room and grabbed the box. He slid it to her
She looked from it to him, then back before she opened it.
Inside were a bunch of pictures of him and her from when they were young. A few notes that he had kept from middle school and the bracelet she thought she had lost. Near the bottom was a price of line paper and smaller box
She worked her way through, laughing mostly. When she reached the bottom, she pulled out the paper and read it slowly.
Cas had written many many many drafts of what he would say as wedding vows, so far he liked this one, it wasn't perfect and it was all there but it was enough to tell her how much he loved her. Granted it was three pages long.
Marina cupped a hand over her lips. "Oh, Cas…"
He glanced up at her "this was a bad idea…look, I'm not saying it'll happen soon or maybe it will, I don't know yet, but when it does, I want to be ready." He said, worried that she though he was taking it too far
She looked at him. "It's beautiful."
"eh, a little heavy handed on the details but sure, I guess you can say that." He smiled teasingly "you really like them?" He asked
She laughed a little and nodded.
He smiled and pulled her into a hug "then you'll really like what's in the box."
She hugged him tightly, wanting to savor the embrace before she opened the box.
He held her tight and stroked her hair "My beautiful, gorgeous, lovely water girl"
"My handsome, enchanting, vibrant fire boy," she purred in response.
He smiled and kissed head "staying the night?" He asked gently as he glanced out the window at the sunset
"If it's alright," she said quietly.
He nodded "I have no problem with it, neither does my mom. Heck if it were up to her, you'd live here." he said with a laugh
Marina giggled. "I guess that's true…"
He grabbed the box and slid it in front of her "open it." he said gently against her skin
She took it gently in her hands and did as he said.
