Just to clarify, this is a modern rp, just in case it wasn't obvious (since i never actually said it)
Name: Macey Anna Leigh. She’s never known a last name.
Age: 21, a few weeks from 22
Gender: Female
Sexuality: She hasn’t been around people long enough to figure it out. If asked, she would probably say that she was questioning.
Appearance: Macey has peach skin and a wide square face. Her black hair is straight and styled into a vague bob just below her shoulders. Her eyes are a simple amber, and they appear pale blue in some lights/from some angles (this will be explained later).
Style: Anything she can get her hands on. She does have modern clothes, but she is never picky.
Personality: Quiet and reserved. She’s not used to others, and only ever talks to her dad. She isn’t very good with people. However, she is very confident and a little bit reckless. She does what she can to survive.
Likes: Violin, her father, her mother, the mountains
Dislikes: Her mother’s death, living where she is, being so isolated
Background: Ever since she was a young child, Macey has lived in the Lunar Mountains with her parents. She doesn’t remember when she didn’t live there, all of her memories are from the Lunar Mountains.
From a young age, Macey knew that she had an affinity for magic. She had a connection to nature, and she would often open her eyes to discover that they were glowing a soft pale blue. Her magic was powerful, but she was unable to control it. Her father began to teach her violin, which was an old pastime of his. They soon discovered that the violin could channel Macey’s magic, and she has never stopped using/playing it.
Macey’s mother died when she was 12. For the majority of the year, it was just Macey and her mother. Her father would be gone for months on end while working and stuff. She still doesn’t know why, but the two females would never leave where they were living. They had a very small house built in the Lunar Mountains, and Macey would often travel a short distance to the edge of a cliff to look out at the valleys.
When Macey’s mother died, not much changed. Until she was about 16, Macey’s father would spend more time at home. He wanted to look after his daughter, as he was all that she had. When he felt that she was old enough, he left for longer periods of time. When she hit 19, he was gone for most of the year. Sure, she would be happy when he returned, but she was different and he was different. They were never the same people.
As much as she hates to admit it, Macey is lonely. For 10 out of 12 months of the year, it’s just her. So, she would walk to edge of the mountain every day and play. At first, it was to simply take her mind off everything. Over time, it became a way to try and communicate with others – or anyone close enough that might hear her. The violin echoes throughout the Lunar Mountains, and even though she plays for hours, no one has ever actually found her.
Magic/Abilities: It’s sort of hard to explain. Macey can control nature, but it’s not your typical geokinesis as such. I know what I want to write, but it’s really hard to explain. All that is important is that she has is quite powerful and she uses her violin to channel it.
She's also quite skilled with a bow and arrow, as she uses it to hunt every so often. She always has a dagger on her, not just to hunt but for other things like cutting vines.

Name: Seong-Jin
Age: (20-24) 24
Gender: male
Sexuality: straight
Appearance: (detailed, no links unless described)
Appearance (Be descriptive):
Hes (a rare case) Korean but he has pretty big bluish-white eyes, he has a triangular face and a very defined and sharp jawline. His nose is kinda just normal-sized and his lips are full (but not full) his cheeks have a few freckles on them along with his nose and a little bit on the sides of his forehead (near his temples) and their all very light. He has snowy white fluffy hair thats normally well kept but it can be easily messed up. He's 6’1 and semi muscular. But he's still very skinny. Overall he's the attractive/hot type, though at the same time he can look like an adorable puppy
(okay so all of these but with pure white hair. but the hairstyle and face is almost exact)

Style: (day-to-day clothing)
button-up shirt that's usually really nice though casual. Usually white and clean.
(just really nice clothes)
Personality: the first thing you need to know about him is he's a huge flirt. But he's actually super nice and patient with things. He can control his temper quite a bit. He can get extremely protective, though he doesn't get overly protective if you know what I mean.
He's a hard worker and he always tries to stay positive. He's not depressed or anything. And he accepted his past and everything. But he doesn't let that define who he is. He's more a "forgive forget" type of person.
Likes: marshmallows, playing the piano, singing, though he doesn't do it alot.
Dislikes: Those tiny marshmallows that have all of those weird flavors.
Background:
He grew up in an orphanage not remembering who his parents were. He was takin in when he was only two years old. The orphanage was really hard on him, just like the rest of the kids, though they took a particular "liking" to Seong-Jin.
As in liking, they were a lot harder on him. They didn't abuse him physically or anything. But they overworked their minds like crazy. The owners of the orphanage wanted these kids (especially Seong-Jin) to be super-geniuses or whatever.
A little while later when he was around 12 he got adopted into a super-rich family. Only to be treated as a dog. They didn't like doing as much as paying for his school or his food. WHich is why he went without food for long periods of time.
Around 16 they kicked him out to live on the streets since they were sick of paying for him (though they were rich…) but luckily he was able to manage and now he had a nice little job at a nice little restaurant. and he just graduated from college.
Magic/Abilities: (this is more for my character, i don't mind if you include it as part of your character) none
Other:
(he's adorable, i love him
ill post a starter soon)
(Really? Oh that makes me happy! And take your time!)
Another day. Another lonely day with no one around. It was something Macey was used to. No one ever came through the Lunar Mountains or the Solar Valleys, and her father hasn't returned home for months. She'd completed most of her daily routine, and she was ready to complete the rest of it. She pulled her jacket on and then tied her hair up in a tight ponytail, not wanting it to fly in front of her face.
Looking around, Macey grabbed her quiver filled with arrows and strung it over her back, doing the same thing for her bow. She then picked up her violin, which was in its case, and walked out of the small cabin. She began to walk towards the edge of a cliff, the one overlooking the giant buddha statue.
She took her bow off her back but left the quiver, then placed the case on the ground and took out her violin and its respective bow. Macey took up her position and began to play, the sound calming her. She closed her eyes and the music traveled through the valley closest to her. If she was to open her eyes, the typical amber colour would be glowing a faint blue.
(ok so the buddha statue is based off Leshan Giant Buddha, but the one in the movie looks more like this (they are the same though). In the movie, it's less mossy and there are no people that visit. Also, the ground below it is filled with a valley of trees, rather than a body of water)
(Ooh okay! Oh, by the way, I recognize that movie. I really wanna see it lol)
Seong-Jin had gotten the day off for today. Which was one of the most relieving things to hear at that moment for him. Half of him wanted to stay in bed and sleep all day, and the others have of him wanted to…
Sleep some more. So he compromised. He decided to go on an adventure for once in his boring old life. It wasn't actually as boring as he made it out to be. Seong-Jin was more used to it than anything. He worked 5 days a week from 4:30 in the morning to 10:00 every day except for the weekends. And sometimes he even worked on the weekends. He came into the job planning on only serving. But on some days he also cooks. Which is actually quite annoying to him. He hated getting dirty. He was somewhat of a clean freak.
On the days he's not cooking, he's a waiter in fancy clothes and a dazzling white smile to light up everyone's day. Flirting was his specialty. He would do that to get all the tips he could get.
But he's gotten bored of flirting and giving people food fo money. So that's why he was out here.
He stepped through the woods humming a little song in his head before he heard a different one clashing with it. Though he wasn't complaining. It sounds absolutely gorgeous. He followed the music all the way to the top of the mountain. He needed to find the source of this beautiful sound that was filling the atmosphere around him like a fresh morning breeze that you didn't expect but you still enjoy.
(its really good and Jin is my baby boi)
It had been about an hour, and Macey was going to have a rest. She was caught up in what she was playing, but her hands were tiring. She opened her eyes, and the blue still remained. It would fade eventually, but she was still connected. She knelt down and placed the violin and bow into their case and stood back up. She untied her hair and looked out at the Solar Valleys with her archer's bow in her hand, her black hair flowing in the slight breeze.
(Awe he's a cutie!)
Seong-Jin found himself lost in the mountains when the music had stopped. wandering about with no destination. That was what he wanted to do in the first place. Wander. Go on an adventure. Go somewhere with no time limit. No place to be. Just go wherever he wants!
And frankly….he loved it. He's never done something like this before ever since he was little. And it felt so amazing! And the air up here was so fresh and clear.
He stepped into a clearing near the edge and looked up to the sky with a bright smile. Looking around he spots a girl near the edge.
"Oh wow! I didn't know someone else would be up here as well!" He says stepping forward.
Macey gasped softly at the sound of another person. She knew immediately that it wasn't her father: he wasn't supposed to return for weeks. In an instant, she grabbed an arrow from the quiver on her back and notched it into place in the bow. She drew it and turned, holding it up to where the voice came from. This all happened in only a few seconds, as she was quite skilled with the bow and arrows. "Who are you? What are you doing here?"
His icy blue eyes widened and he immediately put his hands up. "Woah Woah Woah. Okay, little miss, that's a little too far. I just thought I would take a little stroll through the mountains. Seong-Jin Hyuk is the name. If that's what you were asking." He says flashing the rather terrifying girl a white smile.
A confused look crossed Macey's face, and she refused to move her bow. "A little stroll?" She asked. "It takes at least a few days to reach this point in the Lunar Mountains. I'm assuming you've come from the city, so there's no way you would have made it this far on a little stroll." Her eyes were beginning to lose their pale blue glow and returning to their typical amber colour.
"Well yeah of course. I don't live up here. Anyway- wait wish, did your eyes just change colors?" He says extremely confused, though fascinated. Then he realized she still had her weapon up. "Okay uh, can you put that down. I'm not gonna hurt you or anything."
Macey ignored the last statement, as her bow was how she could defend herself. "State your business. A little stroll is not an adequate excuse. No one ever travels into the Lunar Mountains." Her voice had the slightest hint of a British accent, which could have been caused by her father's roots in England. She also ignored the question about her eyes. It would be too difficult to explain to explain to a stranger, and he did not need to know.
"Can't a guy who's been working his @$$ off all week take a stroll? Go on an adventure? You know, relieve stress?" He says putting his hands down and shoving them into his pockets. "Its a stress reliever kid." He says with a sigh, leaning against a tree.
(oh dude you can swear i dont care)
Macey was still confused. She lowered her bow and placed the arrow back in its quiver. She bent down and switched the bow for her violin and it's respective bow, never taking her eyes off the strange boy. He appeared her age, maybe a little older. And he didn't appear to be like her mother or father. He was white like her, but…he was different as well. More defined. Eyes smaller. She stood up and began to play. It wasn't for him, nor was it for her. She closed her eyes and then opened them, now glowing pale blue. As she played, a faint blue glow began to emit from the violin strings, and the tree the boy was leaning against began to close around him. He was trapped and could not escape, but he wasn't hurt. He could see her perfectly and could move ever so slightly, but he was no longer in a position to bargin.
"Okay that was uncalled for….." He says with a sigh. His head hurt too much to immediately realize what was going on.
"wait a minute what the hell? What's happening?" He says looking up at the tree around him, then back at her. He quickly relaxed and watched her play. The violin was…..soothing. He's never actually paid much attention to the violin before.
He never heard much music like this but…… he loved it. He almost forgot where he was until he tried to step forward. Though he didn't say anything.
Now that Macey was playing, she didn't want to stop. Flowers began to bloom around the pair, as the violin still had remnants of magic. She got lost in the song and she completely forgot about the strange boy. She played for a few minutes and then remembered that the boy was in the tree. She stared at the boy, a strange look in her eyes. "What did you say your name was again?"
"Uh…..okay so I'm going to try my hardest to ignore the fact that a strange beautiful hippy girl is talking to me and I'm not trapped in a tree……so uh….Seong-Jin Hyuk. Honestly, you can just call me Jin I guess. That's what all of the Americans do" he says with a sigh trying to move a little bit didn't really do much. His snowy white hair flopped into his face as he did.
"So…Jin. Tell me. What it this….American? And what's a hippy?" She wasn't joking asking these questions. She truly didn't know anything.
The only people Macey had ever been around anyone other than her parents, and even then it hadn't been much. Her father was never around, and her mother died ten years ago.
"Oh Goodness. You've gotta be kidding me… You are…right?"
He asked her with a little laugh, trying to hide his disbelief. Was this girl serious!?!?
"No…I'm being serious. I don't know what either of those things are. You're the first person I've seen for years, and I only see my father every few months. So. I'm asking you. What are these things you talk about? And I hope you know that you are in no place to bargain."
"No place to bargain? Well, no dip Sherlock" he says gesturing to the tree. "Anyway, an american a citizen of America. America is a country. I'm Korean, a citizen of Korea. Though i moved to America. So….woah, technically I'm American. Nope, don't like that. Anyway. A hippy…. Nevermind. You don't need to know."
"Are there…others like you?" Macey asked, sitting down cross-legged. She rested her violin in her lap and stared at Jin. "Are there other Americans? Other Koreans?"
