Her face wrinkled in disgust, "I have to drink a human's or a vampire's blood? If I drink a human's blood will it turn them into what I am?" She shook her head, "Does that mean you want to drink my blood?"

He shook his head. "You'll find that vampire's blood tastes like battery acid, and it does nothing to keep you alive and healthy. You won't turn a human into what you are unless you release venom, and if you do that without permission from the council, you will be immediately executed." He paused before answering the next question, not sure how she would take it. "And yes. I do want to drink your blood, but only if you'll let me. It's your blood, so it's only fair for me to ask permission."

"How do I know if I'm releasing venom?" She asked, running her tongue over her teeth to see if there were fangs of any sort. "If you drank my blood would it hurt? How do I know how to find humans that are willing to drink my blood?"

"That's something you'll learn in the future, but not anytime soon. And yes, it would hurt, but it really just feels like a flu shot," he explained. "And don't worry, this isn't going to happen very quickly. It'll take a year to fully transition. At that point, you'll have to consume blood in order to live."

She nodded, rubbing her arms as she processed everything he was saying, "Is blood from a vampire that's changing special? Is that why you were in the alleyway?" Her shoulders sagged as she remembered the fact that she didn't know anyone else besides him that could help her, "Why'd they kill my family? and my friends? They didn't do anything, why didn't they spare them?"

Abaddon nodded, giving her an apologetic look. "It is. I can't remember why, exactly, but something makes your type of blood quite desirable. As for your family, they did it for food and because another vampire turning was due."

She looked at him and sighed, rubbing her eyes, "Why'd they choose me?" Alex's gaze focused on her arm next, almost like she was debating wether or not to let him drink her blood, "Did you ever tell me your name? I don't remember hearing it."

"I don't know how they select people. That's way above my pay grade," he admitted. "And no, I don't believe I told you. I'm Abaddon."

She nodded, glancing at the table and sighing, "Well Abaddon, I can't think of any more questions I want to ask you right now, can I get something to eat now? Unless you have questions?"
