Me, immediately forgetting all my crushes the moment I see Irene: Haha oops-

Deleted user

Listen, my type is absolutely people who could kill me!
Oh, and question, can we write more than two characters?
I'm thinking of doing Sherlock since I did do Mortairy.

Deleted user

Ah, I had meant to write more than one character, apologies!
And thank you, the form should be up by tonight or tomorrow!

Name: Kain "Sherlock" Holmes
Age: 26
Gender: Trans man
Orientation: Oh horribly queer, he's somewhere on the ace spectrum though.
Appearance: Kain looks almost the opposite of his sister, where she has dark hair, he has blond. Where her skin is pale, his is a light brown. His nails are often cut/bit down to the quick (he tends to mess with his nails when thinking). He's quite short, but that's probably where his and Rowan's resemblance ends.
Personality: Very eccentric most of the time, but does go quiet when lost in thought. He's not one for small talk unless it's to find out things about a person.
Strengths: Quite good at seeing the small gears that are causing the machine to malfunction.
Weaknesses: Does tend to miss the obvious solutions.
Skills/Hobbies: He has a 'problem' of finding people on the streets and figuring out what's wrong with them.
Area of Expertise (like, what type of made scientist/explorer/etcetera are they?): He was in school for medicine but then got bored and became a PI.
Theme song: Our Boy Jack, by the Mechanisms.
Other: He and Rowan are step siblings.

By the way, if anyone knows like,,,, one more person who would join this…. That would be cool.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(they aren't as detailed as they used to be bc I can't remember everything but here)

Name: Victor Frankenstein
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Orientation: Bi
Appearance: Victor is slightly taller than average height, and slim. He has wild brown hair that curls just a little bit towards the ends, and grey-green eyes. He is white, and pale, with neither tan nor freckles. His hands are flecked with scars from accidentally cutting himself during experiments. Looks permanently tired, with smudges beneath his eyes.
Personality: Victor is a thoughtful young man, though prone to melancholy. He is extraordinarily smart, and a voracious reader besides. He hated reminders of what he did, and what he created.
Strengths: Smart. Good at drawing. Quick (mentally). Observant.
Weaknesses: frail health. Has a tendency to get so focused on his work that he forgets everything else.
Skills/Hobbies: Resurrecting the dead(?). Drawing. Sleeping.
Area of Expertise (like, what type of made scientist/explorer/etcetera are they?): Uhhh the body? Resurrecting it? Idk
Backstory: Basically the Frankenstein book, except Henry Clerval was his lover
Theme song: Crazy = Genius, by Panic! At the Disco. The Frankenstein Musical (it's on Spotify)
Other: hnng the Creature might appear someday, idk

Name: Marcelin Enjolras
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Orientation: Homoromantic demisexual
Appearance: Marcelin, who often goes by Marce, is of about average height, with a very slender, almost feminine frame. He has curly, golden hair, that hangs around his face in a rather unruly mess. His eyes are a brilliant sapphire blue. He is white with a light tan, and a very faint scattering of freckles across his nose. Scars on his torso from being shot.
Personality: Marce is very driven, and a good leader. He is typically charming, but is quite capable of being terrible. After the loss of his friends, he became much quieter and more subdued.
Strengths: Revolution/rebellion? Singing. Leading. Music.
Weaknesses: Has a tendency to overestimate things, especially when it comes to other people; he often thinks they are just as driven as he, which is in part what caused the revolution to fail.
Skills/Hobbies: Revolution (?). Singing and just general music. Reading.
Area of Expertise (like, what type of made scientist/explorer/etcetera are they?): Revolutionary?
Backstory: His parents were wealthy merchants. His father was abusive. Basically just Les Mis, except he's in love with Grantaire, but they want to wait until after the revolution to be together. And then all of the other Les amis are killed, and Enjolras wakes up in prison. Marius manages to free him, and Enjolras is now on the run from the French.
Theme song: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/00msntANgROazAdE6A31V9?si=rwYEKLqdRW2iIlRo9bXaYA (mwahaha I have a playlist–)

SO. WORLDBUILDING TIME.

So, in a His Dark Materials-esque way, this world has a lot of familiar things but is, in fact, not familiar. London is a city-state that spans about a fifth of the continent. It is a very, very religious place, not exactly believing in God or gods but in maintaining the purity of the soul. Currently, they are against most science as they see it as blasphemy, especially with mad/less ethical science. Magical creatures exist, and there are small populations of them throughout the city but largely the place is populated by humans. The Centaur and Satyr/Faun population is especially high compared to vampires, werewolves, and basically any half-human-half-something-else combo you can think of as that's basically what magical creatures are in this world.

Arcane sciences is magic as a science, trying to measure and quantify what makes magic so… magic. Most people can perform small spells like levitation of a rock, but can't heal or bend the elements to their will or shoot lightning from their hands kind of thing.

Spiritual alchemy is the theory that we are not one, but many faces constantly duking it out. Spiritual alchemy aims to quiet the mind and soothe the voices, leaving a primary "good" voice in charge. As of yet, no theories have been proven. It's not meant to seperate things, it's meant to just make a more harmonious system overall.

As for the rest of the world, there's a big religious war over who exactly believes in the right thing. Think the crusades, but there's several different ones trying to kill all the other crusades and spread their beliefs the farthest. There are some closed religions that are staying out of this, for obvious reasons, but mostly people are just squabbling over things they don't fully know are real or not. So yeah this is more than a mild commentary on stuff, mostly religious colonization. (couch Christianity cough)

not like I actually have any serious beef with Christianity it's just that I Am Gay and I Have Been Emotionally Unhappied By The Church. And poorly thought out social commentary is my… my thing. So yeah none of this will make any sense-

Another thing is that the government of The London monitors everything they can possibly monitor. However, their monitoring gear is Not So Great due to the against-most-science thing sooooo… spies might happen.

Classism is a serious issue in London (in nearly everywhere, actually) and moving a peg up the food chain is almost impossible without some support from your local Rich Person (tm).

That's about it, if I think of more I'll tell you. Peace out.

Also like the only reason Henry is allowed to keep up this project is for its potential military applications and a lot of Bribery on Dorian's part.
