Miguel sighed and waved her off lightheartedly, “Oh my…you are useless. Though I think I might be able to count on you if I need someone dead.”
Miguel sighed and waved her off lightheartedly, “Oh my…you are useless. Though I think I might be able to count on you if I need someone dead.”
Aurae grinned cheekily. "I'll just throw them to Ebony and Ivory." Ebony and Ivory were her two boa constrictors, black and white respectively. She then looked inside the restaurant and sighed when she saw the chefs waving at her impatiently. The meal was done. "I'll be right back," she sighed.
Miguel nodded, “Okay I’ll wait out here,” He then sat down at one of the outdoor tables and waited patiently for Aurae.
Aurae wiggled her fingers in a small wave, then darted into the restaurant to deliver the order. The faster the better, and she could hand them off onto a different waitress so that she could get out of these clothes and this hellhole.
She grabbed the two dishes and balanced them precariously on each hand, the heat searing her palms but she plastered on her award-winning smile that always got her good tips. "Here you go, sir and ma'am." She set them down in front of the couple. "I'm afraid that my shift is up, but Mandy over there will be available to take over." The big-eyed blonde looked up in alarm when she heard her name.
The man nodded and held up a finger, then pulled out his wallet. "I appreciate your service, and I wouldn't want to leave you without a tip." He leafed through his money and handed her a ten and a five. She accepted it with a gracious "Thank you, sir," and pocketed it with her other tips, bit them farewell, then headed back over to Miguel.
Miguel had been looking into the window watching Aurae scramble around with a small smile on his face when Aurae came out. He looked over and up at her, "Its seems your shift is done, in a bit hurry that is. What shall we do now?"
"I was not about to sit here in these ridiculous clothes to wait for those two to eat," Aurae huffed, crossing her arms. Her hair was frizzy from her day of work and her violet eyes were weary, though she wouldn't admit defeat and say she was tired. That was Aurae for you: work until she dropped and still insisted she didn't need help or a break. "What I'm going to do first is go home to change, then feed my babies. We can figure out something while I go do that."
Miguel smiled and stood up, "Sounds good to me. Let's go."
She nodded silently with a private sigh of relief. She hated her job with a burning passion. She was not, by any means a people person. Yet here she was, dealing with people on a regular basis. Yaaaaaaaaayyyyy
