“O-oh… that’s caused a ‘pen’. It’s used to record and write things, basically,” he mentioned, smiling softly at her goofiness. “Speaking of such a tool, do you not have ‘pens’ where you’re from? How do you even record or write or draw things then?”
She shook her head, studying the pen as she replied, "We have touch sensitive documents and we normally use sharpened sticks to record things on them. It's just the force you use that makes the words appear." The pen looked similar to what she used when she was back on her home planet, but it was new to have the stick or pen make the words and not the paper. Maybe it worked better than their method. "Do your documents here not react to force?"
(Welp… I’m sorry)
“Uh… not this one. There are document that react to force but I don’t think I have one here,” he mentioned, looking around the room as if he thought he had something he could show her. Of course not, this wasn’t his main house. It was more of a resting point if anything.
“Anything else before we start looking at these papers?”
(All ok)
Suhi shook her head again, studying the pen, "Not that is pressing enough for me to ask. You may carry on with the papers." She was still intrigued by the pen, but it could wait until she learned more about the whereabouts of her friends. And so, almost reluctantly, she set it down beside her, waiting patiently. Hopefully this would help her get started on her search for the others. That way they could decide what to do with this impromptu crash-landing.
(Me, forgot this existed— I’m so sorry ;-;)
“Right… so, about the reports. We have here—“ he pointed to one of the photos which was one of ones that showed when a comet-like figure fell down and was about to hit Earth. “—this one was taken three days ago,” he mentioned.
“The reports said that the object was unidentifiable. It was not asteroid, nor was it a comet remains,” he mentioned, looking at the notes again. He showed her another photo, one which was an up close one of the unidentifiable object he’d mentioned.
“Does this look familiar to you?”
(it's alright)
She squinted at the pictures, pointing to the first one and the object in question, "That's my capsule, or it looks similar to mine. Though that is not the entire pod. I think the pod broke into our capsules sometime after entry into your atmosphere." Suhi nodded again at the other picture, pointing at a band of writing almost carved into the capsule, "This is my identification number. That is a picture of my pod. When was this taken?" She had been planning to go back to her capsule after a few days of exploring, and there were things inside that she knew would be studied by the humans, and she didn't want them to be taken and studied.
“This was taken…” he looked at the date and time on the papers and “…two hours ago,” he answered. So that was her pod, huh? Perhaps she was the only one who’d fallen down around here. However it may be, she was still needing much care, and he was there to provide it.
“Will you be heading back? To your pod, I mean,” he asked, wanting to assist her on her way there if she wanted to go back.
She frowned, then studied the picture, "I would like to head back…but I feel like it would not be safe. Not with so many humans around the area." It seemed dangerous to be out of place in a group of so many humans, especially from what she had read and learned about. They didn't seem to like foreign beings. "Is it likely that the humans that found my pod will go through it? Or will they be polite and leave it alone?'
“It… uh, unfortunately more liking that people will have gone through your pod by the time we arrive,” he had to state the truth, sighing softly. “If you want to head back, I’ll give you some of my clothes and you can blend in, I suppose,” he mentioned.
"Why though? It is not their belongings," She questioned, frowning again, "Even I would not barge into someone's space and start to look through their things without permission." That was one part of humans that she hadn't been able to understand from their gathered data. Even for her race, one that was naturally looking for information of any kind, that was considered rude and extremely disrespectful. "Will dressing like you make me blend in?" She questioned as well, looking down at her own clothes.
“Yeah… it’s how humans are. And yeah, staying by my side when we go there would help too,” the man had said as he continued to look through the pictures. “So far the only report of a fallen object that’s near is… a fifteen-hour drive away,” he mentioned, chewing the inside of his cheeks a bit before turning to her. “Y-You don’t have spare clothes, do you…?”
She gave him a slightly confused look and shook her head, glancing at her borrowed clothing again, "I do not. I was given this by another human, he told me to keep it." Suhi was quite happy to hear that there was a report of another object, even if it meant that humans knew about their arrival on the planet. She wasn't quite sure what a drive was, but guessing from the machines she supposed were cars, it had something to do with that.
“Right…” with that, he stood up and when to his own room, getting out a hoodie that would be too big for Suhi. “Here, put this on,” Adam had said with a small smile, his mind running wild at the made-up image of her in his clothes.
She took the new piece of clothing easily from him, studying it before pulling it on. It was similar enough to her home world's clothing, but even so, it got stuck on her horns as she tried to put it on. "Adam, your clothing is not cooperating," Suhi said, her words slightly muffled as she tried to get the hood off of her horns where it was stuck, "I do not think this is the correct way for it to be worn."
With a small sigh and quick laugh, the man had moved to her side to help her with the hood. Yeah, it was a pretty old hoodie, but it was comfortable and so he didn’t throw it away and had cleaned it every time he did the laundry, even if he didn’t wear it. “We should head there now so that we’d be back before the sun sets,” he mentioned.
Soon she was wearing the hoodie the right way, a soft smile on her face as she looked at the fabric, studying it carefully, "This is…soft, I like it." Suhi wasn't quite drowning in the shirt, mostly because of her height, but it was large on her. Either way, she already liked it, and she hoped it helped her blend in as Adam had said. "Do you know how to get there?" She questioned, looking up at him with a hopeful smile. Truthfully, she had no clue where she had landed. Stumbling upon the city had been an accident, and she really couldn't get back to her pod if she tried.
“I have a marked location on my phone,” he answered with an equally bright smile. He thought Suhi looked quite adorable in his clothes and it was nice… causing him to blush slightly.
“Just a quick word, you look so cute in those clothes,” he said before turning to the door. “Shall we go?”
She nodded then stood, looking over the hoodie before smiling at him again, asking curiously, "Cute is a compliment to humans, right?" Suhi wasn't sure why she felt happy at his compliment, but either way, it did make her want to wear clothing similar to this more often. Both because they were extremely comfortable and cute, as she had been told. She followed him as he headed to the door, hoping that they would come back to this place so she could learn more about Adam and humans in general.
