The prince tilted his head softly, thinking it over for a moment before he smiled, leading them down the path, "There's this rose garden that's fairly hidden away from the rest of the castle, me and one of the gardeners are the only two who know it exists. That's where."
"Well then."
Stephen said softly as he slid his hand into the princes.
"That is where we shall go."
Caspian nodded, leading Stephen out of the main gardens and down a slim pathway. The lights were dimmer down here, clearly because not many people knew the path and the rose garden existed. When they arrived, Cas smiled. There were rows and rows of different coloured roses and a swing in the middle of an old oak tree in the center.
(Thanks, I saw the notification. I might reboot this but since this is mine and Nia’s thread I’ll leave it for when they come back)
Stephen lead the prince to the swing and offered him to sit down. He then went exploring. Still making conversation with his company.
"What makes this place so special to you?"
"I came here when I was a child a lot," He replied, sitting down on the swing and pushing off the ground, "With my brothers. They made the swing."
"Your brothers?"
Stephen seemed curious and surprised.
"And where would they be now? I always thought of you as an only child."
Cas opened his mouth to reply, closing it and swinging a little more before he replied, "They passed away in battle when I was sixteen. As did my mother."
Stephen looked at him with sorrow.
"I'm sorry to hear that. That must have been very hard on you."
He swooped in and picked Cas up. Swinging him around and holding him close.
"Such perfection does not deserve such pain."
Cas couldn't help but blush lightly, letting out a nervous chuckle as he was picked up, "Ah, it's okay, really. It's been years since then so I've come to terms with the passing."
Stephen sets him down.
"Well, where to next charm?"
