Stephen lead him into the middle of the room. They danced and danced until no one could take their eyes off the two. The conversation was slow at first, but he knew how to charm anyone. Surely this would be no different.

"So, surely you must get bored with all the celebrations occasionally."

The prince shrugged a shoulder, the conversation distracting from the pain in his feet. Clearly it had been a while since he'd danced this much, "You have no idea. I'm not much of a… party person you could say, I think all of this is a bit excessive."

"I would have to agree but again. You are.."

Stephen dramatically bows for his dance partner.

"…The Charming Prince. I've heard that no women within a thousand miles hasn't swooned over you."

He chuckles while still captivating the prince in a slow dance.

Caspian rolled his eyes a little, though a hint of a smile tugged at the corners of his lips, "Come now, I think that might be a bit of an exaggeration. Besides, most women these days just want me for my money and title, hardly a proper relationship."

"Oh come on. You must be at least the tiniest bit flattered by all the attention."

Stephen dangerously dips the Prince and stares longingly into his deep eyes.

Cas let out a soft, almost nervous chuckle as he was dipped, holding onto Stephen so he wouldn't fall, "Possibly, yes, but when you're royalty you get used to the attention, it becomes boring, a nuisance."

Stephen spins him the handsome prince off into the middle of the ballroom. Staring at him as a strange new feeling floods his chest.

"Well."

He bows softly, biting his lip.

"I have quite enjoyed this dance with you. But unfortunately, I have some business to attend to."

He can see the prince is questioning him with his stare. Jokingly, he states.

"I'm off to kill the King."

Cas blinked a few times, bowing back to the stranger not a moment after he had done the same. When he spoke, he raised a brow, stepping forwards with a blink, "I do not think that is something one should joke about, sir," He said, "Care to go for a walk with me?"

'With pleasure."

He takes the mans arm.

"Lead the way."

The Prince led them out of the ballroom, ignoring the watchful eyes of not only his father but the people around them. He took them out towards the gardens, the rows of flowers and trees decorated with different lights illuminating their path ahead.

"What has lead to this wonderful chat."

Stephen sits on the bench, kissing the princes hand and begging him to sit with him.

Cas looked away at the kiss, only in fear that his cheeks might heat up as he sat down beside him, "I am unsure. I am also unsure of you name, sir."

"Stephen."

Gets up and bows with such elegance.

"Pleasure to accompany you fine sir."

"Please, just call me Cas," He offered Stephen a smile, "It's nice to make your acquaintance. Have you come to any other of my father's parties before?"

“New to town. But still. Never liked parties.”

Stephen brushes his hand over his head and placed his arm around Cas’ shoulder.

(I would like them to be a little longer if that is okay)

"Then what made you come to this one?" Cas tilted his head to the side, removing his mask from his face so his features were easier to see and read, "If you don't like parties, why bother?"

Stephen looked at him. His features taking his breath away he almost completely forgot the question.

“Well why not? Always good to do something out of routine every once and a while.”

He holds his hand out for the prince and kneels.

“Shall we keep walking? You lead the way.”

The prince rolled his eyes softly, though he smiled and slipped his hand into the others, "There's no need to be so formal, I'd rather you get treat me like a normal person rather then royalty."

Stephen pulls him in close, staring into his soulful eyes and smiling. Then playfully leads him away.

“But it’s fun to treat you like this. After all. You deserve the kindness of the world.”

He cheekily winks and spins the prince elegantly.

Caspian snorted, a very unprincely like sound followed by a laugh. His cheeks heated at the spin and he looked at the rows of hedges ahead to distract himself, “Such a flirt, are you like this with everyone or am I special?”

“Oh. Depends. Are you gorgeously handsome?”

Stephen looks him up and down, as if examining the prince. He walks around the prince, brushing his neck.

“Well then. You are definitely, special.”

He pauses, biting his lip and blowing Cas a kiss.

“Shall we explore?”

“I-“ Cas went a deeper shade of red at the touches and the kiss. He was used to flirting yes but he hadn’t expected it tonight. He cleared his throat, looking up at Stephen then back to the path, “Of course. I know this place like the back of my hand, though so it would be more of an exploration for you.”

Stephen takes his hand and leads him in an unknown direction. He had no idea where he was going but he didn't care.

"I want to know. Where is the one place you go to escape everything?"

Stephen stopped dead in his tracks and looked at the prince, waiting for a responce.
