Lorelei smiled and pulled her love closer to her. “I thought it was because you noticed me staring at you the whole time.” she chuckled, remembering that day clearly. “I’d never seen someone as beautiful or as lonely as you before. I couldn't look away even if I wanted to.”
"Well of course that was a part of it," Eleanor purred, bumping her hip against Lorelei's. "That's what caught my attention. But your beauty was what drew me in as well." She flushed. "Darling, you flatter me."
Lorelei smirked softly at the teasing and kissed Eleanor’s cheek. “That’s the point, my love, though it is the truth. Besides, you flatter me as well.” she purred back, pausing for a moment before the upper stairs leading to the main deck.
"Well thank you, my darling. That was my intent." Eleanor stopped along with her lover and tilted her head to the side curiously. "Is something the matter, my love?"
“Not at all, darling. I just wanted to admire you.” Lori smiled sweetly, wrapping her arms around Eleanor’s waist and holding her close. “I love you, Ellie. So much.” she whispered.
Eleanor gasped slightly as their bodies pressed against each other, and her eyes were alight with pure adoration. "And I love you too," she whispered, pressing their foreheads together. "I'll never let you go again, do you understand? Never."
Lorelei met her gaze with equal admiration and shook her head softly. “Nor I you. Not without a fight.” she promised with a gentle loving kiss.
Eleanor gently kissed her lover back, reaching up to cup Lorelei's cheek and running her thumb over her cheekbone as they kissed. Her other hand was firmly pressed into Lorelei's lower back to keep her intimately close.
Lorelei smiled softly into the kiss before slowly pulling away. “I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.” she said sincerely.
"And I with you, my dearest," Eleanor murmured, smiling even after Lorelei drew back from the kiss. She was simply satisfied just holding her lover in her arms.
Lorelei smiled, giving her another loving hug before looking back at the stairs. “As much as I would love to just hold you in my arms all day… We should continue the tour.” she admitted, a little reluctantly.
Eleanor smiled and brushed her fingers down the side of Lorelei's face. "There will be other days, my darling. And besides, the sooner we finish the tour, the sooner we can get back to your cabin," she added with a knowing wink.
Lorelei smirked at the implications and nodded. “Very true, my love.” she purred, before she started up the stairs, still holding Eleanor’s hand.
Eleanor grinned and followed her like an eager golden retriever puppy. Her blonde hair shone in the sunlight as they stepped back onto the deck. "And where exactly might we find Markus and Drake?"
“Right over there.” Lorelei said, spotting her crewmates easily. “Looks like Drake got Marcus to do his chores again.” she chuckled as she watched a strong dark-haired man climb out of the rigging while a skinnier shirtless man was leaning against the railing and plucking a guitar.
Eleanor let Lorelei lead her over, and she chuckled with amusement at her comment. "This isn't the first time, I suppose."
“Oh, no. It’s pretty common.” Lorelei smiled. “Drake still does his fair share but most of the time he’d rather be playing his guitar or even sketching. He’s quite talented.” she explained.
"Interesting," Eleanor remarked with a small smile. "And Marcus gets the short end of the stick most times, I presume?"
“Depends on your definition of that term. Marcus loves to listen to him play.” Lorelei smiled. “Actually, the whole crew does. Oye, Drake! Marcus!”
“Everything alright, Captain?” Marcus asked, turning to face them.
Drake looked up from his guitar and waved at the couple with a smile before playing a few chords from their song.
Eleanor recognized it immediately and sang along as they approached.
"So I sing this siren song in hopes
one day she will come home
With more than her weight in gold
to take me father’s throne."
Drake’s smile brightened as Eleanor sang along.
“Oh. So this is your Princess?” Marcus smiled. “Nice to meet you.”
“Yes. This is Eleanor.” Lorelei confirmed. “And I expect you to be nice to her, Marcus.”
“What did I do?” Marcus asked, putting his hands up.
Eleanor laughed lightly. "Hello, Marcus," she greeted before acknowledging the other male. "And you must be Drake."
Drake grinned at her and gave Eleanor a salute, as if he were tipping a hat with a little flourish.
“Welcome aboard.” Marcus nodded. “Ah, the captain probably didn't tell you but… Drake can't talk.”
Lorelei winced at Marcus’s words. “No. I forgot to mention it. Sorry, love.” she apologized. “We just get used to the fact that… It slipped my mind.”
Eleanor flushed with embarrassment. "I'm so sorry," she apologized to Drake, but she returned his grin when he saluted her, and in turn, she gave him a small curtsey back. "Your music is beautiful."
“I’m sorry too, Drake.” Lorelei apologized as well.
Drake made a soft sound that at the crew had come to recognize as him chuckling and gave a small dismissive wave at apologies. But gave a grateful nod at the compliment, placing his hand on his heart and pointing to the couple.
“He says, “it's ok” and “thank you”.” Marcus translated for Eleanor. “And I think that last part was something about how he loves how much that song means to you two.” he shrugged, half teasing his friend.
