Ellie grinned like a child. “Yay! Cuddles!” she giggled in Lorelei’s ear to get her to laugh. She looked where they were going and reached out to grasp the knob and turn it. “Yep!”

Lori laughed at the adorable reaction and kissed Ellie's cheek as she walked into the cabin, closing the door behind them. It just took a few more quick strides before she reached the bed and carefully set Ellie down.

Ellie sunk down against the mattress and grinned up at Lori. “Come down here and join me, why don’t you?” she teased. Her golden hair was spread out around her face, and she had a bit of blush still remaining on her cheeks.

“Gladly.” Lori smirked, taking off her weapons belt and hat. As her long black hair fell over her shoulders, she climbed onto the bed beside Ellie and kissed her.

Ellie kissed her back eagerly, running her hands up and down Lorelei’s side. “Have I ever told you how much I love your hair?” the princess asked, reaching her hand up to twirl a piece of Lori’s hair around her finger.

“It's been a while since I heard you say that.” the Captain admitted, half teasing as she cuddled closer.

Ellie's bottom lip jutted out as she pouted. "I'll tell you every day so you'll never have to say that again!" she declared.

Lorelei laughed at the cute pout and kissed Ellie's forehead. “I wasn't saying it was your fault. Just that it's been years since I had a chance to hear you say that.”

Ellie grinned and nuzzled into Lorelei’s neck, the princess’s lips close to her collarbone. “And I’m saying I’m going to make up for it,” she countered, pressing a slow kiss to the open skin closest to her lips.

“I know you will.” Lori moaned softly at the contact as Ellie kissed her neck.

Ellie smiled, her lips still pressed to Lorelei’s skin, and she dragged her kisses up toward Lori’s jaw.

Lori hummed at the progression before tilting her head to capture Ellie's lips against her own.

Ellie smiled and returned Lori’s kiss eagerly. For someone claiming to be tired, she had a decent amount of energy now that she was in bed.

Lori had actually suspected that her dear princess wasn't really tired in the first place and just wanted some alone time with her. Perhaps a bit overwhelmed by the battle and worry. Either way, if Ellie wanted just to be with her, Lori was never going to turn down such an opportunity.

Ellie finally broke away from the kiss and stared at Lori's face, her eyes darting over all of her lover's features. "Heavens, Lorelei,” she whispered. “You’re beautiful. I can truly never say it enough.”

Lorelei smiled lovingly back and peppered Ellie's face with kisses. “And so are you. Of all the treasures I found and gathered, none of them can compare to you.” she whispered back.

Ellie grinned, scrunched her nose, and closed her eyes. She adored when Lori covered her face with kisses. “I adore you,” she giggled, poking her lower in the stomach teasingly.

“I love you too.” Lori giggled at the playful touch. “You look so cute when you scrunch your nose like that.”

Ellie poked her again. "You know I love when you do that," she cooed, kissing the tip of Lori's nose.

Lori grabbed Ellie's hand, smirking. “When I do what, love?” she teased, kissing her cheek.

“All the kisses,” Ellie said, grinning when Lori snatched her hand. She leaned into the kiss and sighed.

“Oh… You mean like this…” she purred before planting kisses everywhere on Ellie's face. Even a few on her neck.

Ellie squealed and grinned widely. “Yes!” she cried. When Lori’s lips drifted down to her neck, she shuddered without being able to stop it. Neck kisses melted her.

Lori smiled at the reaction she was getting and pulled Ellie closer to her. “I love you so much.” she whispered before kissing her neck again.

“I love you too, my darling!~” Ellie gasped through her reply, closing her eyes and moaning quietly. “Oh, love… you know how to render me speechless.”
