Eve nodded. "Yes. It's a very sad truth. But there are some people who can be good." Suddenly, the door to the shop opened, and instantly, the intimate moment the two were sharing ended.
Eve flinched away from the sound on instinct – it meant people.
"Ew. Don't worry, I'll 'suck out their soul' if I have to <3" She half-joked, it was unknown if she could actually do that or not, but it was known she wouldn't unless she really had to
Eve shook her head. "That won't be necessary. I really should be going now. I don't want them to bother you too." She stood up, her coffee in hand. "I'm sorry for leaving like this. It was a pleasure meeting you, Strewbarry."
"Nice meeting you to Eve. I should probably go to. I have things to tend to" She admitted, getting up after her.
Eve nodded with a genuine smile.
"Eve!" someone called.
The woman in question turned slowly. "Hello," she greeted a different man than the cashier, but he appeared to have the same enthusiasm when he talked to her.
"Could I buy you a coffee?" the new man offered.
"Sorry, but I'm just leaving," Eve said politely, but her tone was restrained. She went to head for the door and nearly walked into another boy.
"Hello, Eve," he said. "I think you're beautiful."
Eve forced a laugh. "Ahaha, very blunt of you." Please make it stop. Leave me alone.
Strew scoffed and and got up, glaring at the men, debating if confronting them would be worth it
"I was just leaving–" Eve began, but she was interrupted yet again by the man.
"Eve, would you be interested in coming to dinner with me sometime?"
She shifted awkwardly. "Um, I… I…"
Suddenly, the men both shrank back and bolted toward the counter. Eve was confused until she remember the demon woman behind her. "Thank you," she murmured, not turning around.
"Course, want me to keep with you till you get away from these drooling idiots?" She said, fully up to it.
"I don't want to keep you from your things to tend to," Eve remarked politely. It would be nice. Even at the thought, she shook her head to decline. "I appreciate it, I really do. I just need to get home."
"Do you wanna… exchange numbers? Just- just in case you need me to.. scare men away with my frightening charms" She joked.
Eve's smile wasn't forced, but after her encounter with the men, it didn't seem as genuine as it had before. She was beginning to close up again, but she offered her phone out to Strewbarry.
Puts down her phone number into her own
"I should get going, it was really nice meeting you Eve ^^"
She gave another glare at the barista for fun
Eve smiled faintly. "It was lovely to meet you too." With that, she left quickly to avoid encounters with any more of the men who were infatuated with her."
She left aswell, to do some strange demon things? It was unknown what she really did in her free-time. No one knew, it's speculated that no one ever will.
Eve opened the door to her cottage. She took off the sweater she was wearing, glanced out the window to make sure no one was watching, and shifted into her alternate form: a sleek, black cat.
(I hope you know I'm probably going to get very attached to this story lmao. I'm talking prolly cannon-izing it and drawing/animating KDJFS)
Strewbarry went into an alley, to do something unknown, but speculated to be evil?? (among us sound effect)
(Omg yesssss)
Minutes later, the infamous black cat of Eve's was out, strutting – yes, the cat strutted – down the street. The silver key that promised so much to so many dangled around its neck.
(THE CAT STRUTTED FJDSKLFD <3 <3)
The cat eventually came to the alley Strew was attt????
The cat passed the alley and seemed to recognize the woman in it. Slowly and hesitantly, it padded towards her. It was used to being chased and hunted.
Strew glanced at the cat
"Oh, hey B.. Oh hey you're a new one. Hey kitty"
She went back to searching around the alley, seemingly annoyed.
The cat tilted its head and watched Strewbarry with strangely familiar eyes.
(She's not going to realize it's Eve, tho, until Eve shifts in front of her at some point.)
(Ik that dw ^^)
Finally, a strange looking shadow of a cat appears, as if the thing is on the roof
"Finally, hey Bladee" She greeted whatever/whoever was creating the shadow
It spoke back
"Hey idiot" It said, indicating they defiantly knew eachother.
The cat blinked and laid down to watch the interaction.
A strange blue cat stepped out of the shadows, it had a large tail with a second, normally functioning mouth engraved into it. It had large antenna with big blue orbs at the end of it coming out of it's head.
"Did you bring my berries?" It asked
"Yeah, I brought the strawberries dude" Strew said, she then handed one to Bladee, who ate it happily.
She glanced back at the black cat and suggested one over to her
"You want one?" She asked.
The cat stood but was hesitant to approach. It appeared to be sniffing out the air.
