"Hello Robin!", Mary said with a smile. "Where to?"
"The Palmer House.", Isaac said.
"Hello Robin!", Mary said with a smile. "Where to?"
"The Palmer House.", Isaac said.
Robin just nodded along. She took her phone out of her pocket and turned it off airplane mode. Instantly, unread emails littered her screen – all from the office.
He looked at her screen. "Eh, I'll get it taken care of."
"Don't worry about it, I can handle it," she replied, clicking on the first one and scanning it rapidly.
"I know you can handle it, I just want you to enjoy yourself.", he said gently.
She looked over at him in a mixture of fatigue and promise. "I'll try."
"No more tries. Just relaxation.", he smiled.
She smiled softly and nodded. "Alright."
He gave her a small hug and quickly went back to his phone. Now act like it's nothing.
She looked shocked for a second, followed by a blush, followed by a slightly disappointed pang in her heart. Maybe it was just a friendly hug…
His heart thumped and he looked up from his phone. She blushed! They began to near the Palmer House.
Robin looked again at her phone screen and started a reply to the email she'd read.
When they got to the Palmer House he paid the uber and got out, rushing to open the door for Robin.
Robin blushed and stepped out. "Th-Thank you," she stammered quietly.
He also opened the hotel doors for her and smiled shyly.
She blushed. "Thank you, Isaac…"
Isaac couldn't help but to blush too. "It's nothing.", he shrugged. It isn't nothing.
Nothing? "I-I don't know where I'm supposed to go…"
"Of course you don't silly! Come on!", he enthusiastically led the way to the front desk.
She brushed her hair behind her ear and followed him.
He stood in line for the front desk and marveled at the old, golden building. "Isn't this place beautiful?"
"Yes, it's amazing," she marveled.
They got to the front of the line. "Check in for Isaac Whittaker.", he told the man at the desk.
Robin watched him shyly.
He got the room card. "Let's go." He led the way to the elevators.
