"Okay…" Raeden was unconvinced. "And why don't you just, like fuse with her or something? Wouldn't that make things easier? Also, why the hell are you here right now, not Aza?"
"Okay…" Raeden was unconvinced. "And why don't you just, like fuse with her or something? Wouldn't that make things easier? Also, why the hell are you here right now, not Aza?"
"I can't fuse with her, no more than the black side, yin can fuse with yang and make a depressing grey circle. I'm here because Aza's in the forest. I was there in the lab too."
"Shit!" Raeden exclaimed. "I don't know what to say. Make sure Aza gets out okay for me, will you?"
Lorelei grimaced. "I can't do much for you there. Black can't help white, only accompany it. It's her own fight."
Raeden slumped in defeat. "How do I help her? I need to help her. She means everything to me."
She smirked. "Well, that's rather unfortunate, now, isn't it?"
Raeden adamantly flipped off Lorelei. "Let. My. Aza. Go."
Lorelei sighed impatiently. "One. She isn't yours. She belongs to her forest. Two. I already explained that I can't."
Raeden continued to flip Lorelei off. "She's my love. That's for sure. And her forest doesn't define her."
"Aw, that's sweet. You know she's watching, correct?"
"And she can't be here because…"
"The window through my eyes is in the forest," Lorelei said as if it were obvious.
"What?" Raeden was heavily confused. "I don't even wanna know, do I?"
"Rather confusing," Lorelei agreed. Her hand twitched. "Aza will be back soon, but will also be extremely exhausted."
"Okay. We'll watch TV or something." Raeden thought out loud.
Lorelei gave a last smile and then blinked rapidly as if trying not to cry. It was Aza again, and she threw herself at Raeden, wrapping her arms around him. "Rae!" she cried and buried her face in his shoulder.
"Aza!" Raeden breathed a sigh of relief. "Hey. Hey, you're okay."
She hugged him tighter, breathing in his scent. It was comforting.
"Can I ask what happened?"
"I died again," she replied and hiccupped a little.
"Oh, darling," Raeden squeezed Aza closer. "It's okay. You're here. I'm here. You're fine. I promise. You need more oreos?"
"No, no I'm okay," she said and relaxed into Raeden's arms.
"Okay." Raeden whispered. "You wanna watch more Danganronpa?"
"Yeah. Yeah, that'd be nice," she said softly and turned to watch the show.
"Okay. That's what we'll do." Raeden nuzzled Aza against his chest, promising he wouldn't let go.
