Xio’s chocolate eyes opened in a wide fear. She turned her face away from Kai, afraid he’d see how badly Marx had gotten to her. She didn’t want him to see how badly she feared, how many nights she woke in a cold sweat when nightmares struck because he was the main star in them. She was terrified.
Tyler sneered, he glanced around, knowing fully the teachers hardly paid attention. “We should take this outside before someone gets hurt…” he didn’t care for anyone. He just wanted a secluded space to really mess with Kai. He hated the supernatural kid with the ability to freeze.
But the stupid giant didn’t seem to understand something quite yet. Itseemed to click in his rather round head a few moments later, his hazel eyes amused. “Don’t tell me you like this angel?” He snorted, pulling Xio into his side and lifting her chin to meet her eyes. “She’s taken, Snowflake. Marx claimed her a long time ago.” He ran his fingers up her neck, tracing the scars there. Her knees went weak immediately, mouth open in a silent cry. “She’s pretty, I do have to admit… wouldn’t mind tasting her myself.”
Kai lost it then. He didn't care that he was in the middle of an open area, that the rumors that people heard would be confirmed to be true. No one made Xio fear someone as much as she already did. No one touched her without her permission and no one talked about her being 'claimed' to someone else. No one is claimed by anyone, Kai didn't claim her, she claimed herself.
He growled and threw his hand out in front of him. A burst of ice, as cold as someone could possibly imagine, shot from his hand, right at Tyler. It pushed him back until he hit the wall and he was in cased in the cold substance. He ignored the people who were now focused on the scene as he walked up to Tyler, a small smirk tugging at his lips.
"No one, has a claim over Xio," He said calmly, almost too calmly, "She is her own person and you, filth, shouldn't even be anywhere near her."
Tyler barely had time to react. The wind was knocked out of his lungs and a rather panicked look turned his ugly face into a twisted mess. Xio was released before the ice had hit, thankfully, but had collapsed on the ground. She shook from head to toe, eyes wide and breath shaky and hitched. A single note had been pressed into her palm. She clutched st it, shoving it into her pocket before turning to look at Kai. She was in shock, but still managed to scramble to her feet.
At Kai’s words, Tyler seemed to grow hysterical, his eyes bulging from his face. “You bastard! We all knew you were a monster! Look at you! Ready to kill me with your ice!” He cried, out, laughing hysterically. “All over a pretty face! Look carefully everyone!! He’s a monster!”
Suddenly Xio was throwing her arms around Kai’s neck and burying her face in his chest. She tried hard not to shake, but they came out in violent fits. “K-Kai don’t… he’s not worth it. He’s not worth it. Please. I don’t want them to hate you. I don’t want you to… to…” she trailed off. Her silence was explained when she began to sob, hot tears soaking into his shirt. “I-I need you right now…”
Kai snapped out of whatever murderous daze he was in and soon enough, his arms were wrapped around her soon enough, hugging her tightly. One hand rubbed soothing circles onto her back in an attempt to calm her down but Tyler wasn't helping at all. He knew he was a monster, believed it with all of his heart and mind, as well so he didn't care if a couple hundred people believed it, too.
"I won't," He said quietly, "I won't." He didn't want to make matters worse for her and scare her even more then she already was. He rested his chin on top of her head, glaring icy daggers at Tyler as he did so. The asshole deserved to die, same with Marx but Xio was more important right now.
Xio’s knees collapsed under her and she fell into him, her sobs growing violent and noisy. Tyler was still ranting about Kai, calling him many different names. The glare didn’t seem to phase the gang-member. “Get me the hell out of here!” Tyler cried. “You bastard and your bitch can go burn in hell!” He snapped, struggling against the freezing ice. He was starting to lose feelings in his fingers.
The girl felt small in his arms but after breathing in his scent and letting her emotions out she calmed down, wiping her eyes. “C-can we go to our stairway…?” She asked softly, looking up at him with tear-streaked cheeks. She never wanted this to happen and yet Marx had returned for her, using his city goon. “I-I can ask my father to check us out… I added you under his name too… just in case.” She murmured, still in shock.
Kai resisted the urge to snarled and growl at Tyler, knowing it'll just wind the other up and make matters worse. Even though he tried to ignore the name calling it hurt, a part of him agree with the dick and fed into his already terrible insecurities. He kissed the top of Xio's head and nodded a little.
"Of course we can. If you're dad is working, Levi and Denzel can come pick us up," He replied softly, wiping away a stray tear with the pad of his thumb, "If you don't want to come and see Tanz with us I understand, too, if you want to go home. I'd go with you if I could."
He took her hand and have it a small squeeze, grabbed her bag and flipped Tyler off with the other, "The ice will melt soon dipshit." He called out before leading Xio out of the cafeteria.
“D-Didn’t you drive…?” She asked softly, leaning up to hide her face in his neck. She glanced out, watching as a few people hurried to help Tyler out, murmuring and glaring at Kai. It made her heart ache. “I want to go see him… I want to go with you.” She murmured. It would take her mind off things.
Xio followed willingly, in a daze as she was lead. Tyler would have flipped off Kai in return if he had a hand. “Asshole!” He called instead, his eyes wide and angry. He was going to get Jason to help him beat the shit out of that overconfident Snowflake.
"Yes, but I want to be in the back to comfort you, I can't do that while I'm driving now, can I?" Kai replied gently, giving her hand a small reassuring squeeze. He ignored the glares and murmurs, he was used to them by now and he'd just have to put up with it for the rest of the year.
He led Xio gently through the school and to their stairwell, gently placing their bags down before sitting down himself. He gently pulled Xio down with him, sitting her on his lap so he could hug her tightly.
She smiled weakly, shaking her head. “You can’t.” Her eyes flickered to his face, studying it. The murderous look was gone. He seemed normal now. But she couldn’t get it out of her head.
Xio nuzzled her head under his chin with a low whine. “I-I didn’t think he could get to me that badly.” She murmured to him, arms wrapping around his chest. “I’m scared Kai… I’m scared…” she chocked out, sobbing into his neck. “I’m scared… scared I’m going to lose you and scared that Marx will actually get me…”
Kai pressed a small kiss to her cheek, hugging her back and almost bear hugging her, trying to shield her from the outside world. Mainly Marx, Tyler and all of the people who've ever hurt her in her entire life. He'd always keep her safe, he vowed that to himself then and there.
"It's okay to be scared, Xio," Kai replied, running a hand through her hair, "You've been through Hell, it's okay to be scared, it's not okay for him to get under your skin like he did because no one should be treated that way. You're not going to loose me, and I'll do everything I can to protect you from that monster."
Her small body was tormented by sobs, the tears long gone by now. The world was dark and scary, and she had fallen captive to it. The only joy in her life was here, hugging her tightly.
She pressed away from him, hand on his chest. Her eyes were puffy and red, what mascara she still had left trailing down her face. She was a wreck. “I love you…” She bawled, pressing kisses to his cheeks. “I love you and only you! I don’t want to be with anyone else! I don’t want him to get to me so I can make you happy.” Xio pressed into him, breaking down again.
She didn’t calm down for another few minutes. Exhausted she turned around so she could rest her back against his chest. “Let’s skip class…” she murmured, closing her eyes. She felt better now, but still feared for herself and for Kai.
Kai traces soothing circles on her arm. He hated seeing Xio like this and he would do everything he could to make sure she was safe.
“Do you want to leave school or stay here?” He asked, placing a small kiss to her cheek before resting his head on her shoulder with a soft sigh.
“I love you, Xio. And I want you to always remember that. No matter what happens to me I always will. I’ll always come and protect you and I won’t stop until you’re safe.” Saying the cow out loud reaffirmed it in his soul, the ice could one at that.
Her eyes slipped closed. A part of her wished he could hold her forever never ceasing to rub her skin softly. We felt safe in his arms. Safer than anything. “I want to go home…” she murmured. “… with you. To my house or to yours.”
She could feel his breath against her skin, a soft smile tracing her red lips. “I know you do Kai… I know you will. I’m sure of it. You’d rescue me every time I was hurt or in danger. I know you would.” She suddenly paused, craining her head to look up at him. “You make me feel good…”
“We could go to mine? I’m sure Levi and Denzel would be able to cheer you up, too.” Kai replied, shrugging a shoulder. They are always good at cheering people up and he was sure they’d be able to help Xio, too.
He smiled softly and kissed her gently, a soft, lingering kiss before he rested his forehead against hers, “You make me feel good, too.”
She nodded slowly, pressing herself into his chest after she had text her father to check them out. His kiss caught her off guard, a low whine leaving her throat. “Kai?” She asked quietly when he had finished speaking, tugging on his shirt.
“Mhm?” Kai replied, a small, amused smirk making its way into his lips. He hasn’t expected her to make any noise when he kissed her though he wasn’t going to deny that it turned him on.
“Kiss me.” She said with a small pout, tugging at his shirt again. She hadn’t realized how badly she wanted him until he had kissed him. And now she craved his touch, his lips.
He was addicting. And somehow his mere presence calmed her tormented soul. “Kiss me please.” She restated, leaning closer.
Kai chuckled deeply, smirking as he did so, “I can’t say no when you ask so nicely.” He replied, leaning in and closing the gap between their lips.
The kiss was soft at first, Kai being gentle and loving and pouring all his emeiotion into the kiss, hoping it helped Xio feel better.
Xio whined, moving her hand up to tug at his collar. When their lips met, her hand loosened, dropping from his shirt.
She was thankful for him taking it slow at first. She wanted comfort before he did anything else but the thought was still one that made her hum. With a small whine, Xio collapsed into him, letting him take the lead.
After a few more moments of soft kissing, Kai ran his tongue gently over her lower lip, asking for entrance. Every whine Xio made turned him on a litte more every time.
She allowed him enterance, lips parting. She let out a small moan to tease him, almost wanting to see the want in his eyes. So she shifted slowly in his lap and pressed into him with another whine and another moan.
A low groan worked its way past Kai’s lips, his hips pushing upwards involuntarily. His tongue slipped into her moth, exploring the new space greedily.
Another sound left Xio’s throat but this one was genuine. She melted into him, letting him do what he wanted to her. She was at the mercy of his urges, small moans leaving her throat as he hungrily explored her.
It wasn’t long before Kai was moving his hips regularly, groans slipping past his lips and into Xio’s mouth. His hands started to explore her body while his tongue worked wonders.
Each time his hips moved she was left with an ache in her core that burned for his touch. She wanted him. She wanted him badly. His hands on her body were not helping her case either. But Xio loved it. She loved the feeling she got when she gave herself up to him. Call her a masochist for it but she loved being pinned by him.
