He hummed very faintly. "Yes, well, you never know when it'll be the last time. They just need to get accurate prints once and…" he blew out a gust of air. "That's it."
He hummed very faintly. "Yes, well, you never know when it'll be the last time. They just need to get accurate prints once and…" he blew out a gust of air. "That's it."
She nodded thoughtfully, giving a soft sigh. “I guess that's true… But you seem to have been very careful so far.” she said, biting her lip as she looked down at her unique gloves.
"Yeah. Because I plan everything out in advance." He shrugged his shoulders, leaning back in his seat.
“Everything?” she smirked. “Because I remember a few times I caught you off guard.”
He laughed. "Well, not everything everything."
“That’s what I thought.” she giggled, looking down at her gloves again. At first glance, they just appeared to be uniquely stitched and fingerless… but the truth was that they were much more complicated than that.
He smiled a little bit. "You want to come over after you're done with your patrol?"
“Only if you're offering.” she smiled softly, feeling her face heating up.
"Yeah, sure, I'm not doing anything else."
“Ok. I’ll just have to get changed into something more… civilian.” she chuckled. “Might raise too many questions if your neighbors saw me in uniform.”
"Yeah, true, I'm not sure that they would appreciate it." He laughed softly.
“Right.” she chuckled. “I’m not too far from my Den, so I can be over soon.”
"Great. You remember the way here, yeah?"
“I won't forget any time soon.” she assured him. “I can send you a message when I get close.”
"Alright. See you soon."
“See you soon, handsome.” she smiled, starting her bike and driving off towards her hide-out.
He laughed softly, hanging up and setting his phone down.
Jade smiled as she drove quickly to her Den, a little excited for this meet-up. As she said it didn't take her long to arrive and not much longer to change. It was something of a necessity in this line of work and a benefit too.
Killian set aside his laptop and did a quick clean-up of his house, not wanting Jade to arrive to a mess.
Once she did a small touch-up of applying a little bit of makeup, nothing much more than a simple look, she got back on her bike and headed over to Killian’s.
Killian was still tidying up; he was a bachelor and lived alone, things got messy sometimes.
Jade had to take a few back roads before driving a little more carefully as she joined the usual commuters to hide where she had come from now that she wasn't in costume but she still felt she was making good time.
Killian finished cleaning up, folding some throw blankets and rearranging the pillows on the couch.
“Ok, Sparky. Send him a text that I'm about five minutes away.” Jade instructed since she couldn't send the text herself.
”Should I send it with a kiss?” the A.I. teased.
“Not the time for your sarcasm. You do that, and you're grounded.”
Killian hummed quietly, turning on some music.
