Caesar placed his hand on Cassius' shoulder. "But why are tears forming at the corners of your eyes?"
Caesar placed his hand on Cassius' shoulder. "But why are tears forming at the corners of your eyes?"
“J.. Just pain..” he lied, looking away as he wiped his eyes
Caesar frowned. He knew better than that. "What's wrong, Cassius? What is going on between you two?"
“Caesar I-” Cassius felt the tears rush him before he could stop them, trying to move out of the ruler's view.
He hated crying in front of anyone, let alone Caesar
Caesar looked a tab bit annoyed. “Cassius, spit it out. What is it? I’ll have Brutus executed for you.” He grabbed onto Cassius wrist and gently wiped his tears away. Jus then, a worried Brutus appeared. He narrowed his eyes at Caesar.
“ don't you dare ever say that about anyone, let alone Brutus!” Cassius said, not having noticed Brutus. His back was to the giant. But Cassius was trembling under Caesar's touch
Brutus snarled. “Say what about me?” He still glared at Caesar, tensing when he touched Cassius. “Let him go, you bastard.”
Caesar raised an eyebrow, laughing at Brutus. “Please. I could have you dead by tomorrow. Don’t throw around insults, Brutus.”
Brutus advanced, snatching Cassius from the bitch’s grasp.
Cassius flinched, both of them fighting only upset him more “g..guys stop..” he warned
“Ceasar you will do no such thing. “ he said sternly “you will never make me agree”
Caesar laughed. “Oh please. Look at the way he treats you. I was better. Did I ever make you cry? Act like a bitch? Come on, Cassius. He’s” Brutus moved and pushed Caesar out of the house, slamming the door shut. “Are you alright?”
Cassius stood frozen a minute, processing what Caesar said, knowing he was coming in only moments. Never shut the four on Caesar
Brutus looked Cassius over for wounds. The door burst open with one angry Caesar. “Brutus! How dare you! How dare you slam the door in front of your ruler.” He growled. Brutus turned and slapped the small man across the face. His anger had caught up to him. Caesar, in turn, punched Brutus in the face. “Take that as a warning for next time, Brutus.” He stormed out of the house, slamming the door. Brutus started to bleed from his nose and lip, whimpering as the pain hit him.
Cassius snapped out of his trance and shot up to help Brutus “ Marcus!”
Brutus placed a finger on his now swollen lip. It stung. “I’m alright, Cass. I’ll be alright.” The left side his face started to burn. “It’s just a few wounds. Nothing major.”
“Brutus.. I'm going to make sure caesar doesn't do anything stupid..” he said softly and ran after the newly made king
Brutus nodded and went to go lay back in bed. He didn’t know how to treat simple sounds like these.
Caesar was cursing a storm. He was cursing about how horrible of a man Brutus was. He was cursing how he should have that man executed. He was cursing about how stupid Cassius was.
Cassius was behind caesar “you really think I'm that dumb?” he asked sharply from behind “ you should know I don't like violence Julius.” he said softly
Caesar growled. “I think you’ve lost a few screws, Cassius.” The words came from low in his throat. “That man you stay with. He’s trouble. He threatened me! He slammed the door on my face! Don’t you think he deserved a little bit of punishment?”
“No Julius I don't. You threatened his life and his lover, you threatened my life as if you have no remorse for me “Cassius' voice broke “ am I just some piece of trash to you? To be thrown away at the mere mention of what I am?”
“His life means nothing to me. If you’re willing to defend him, than you mean nothing to me.” Caesar scoffed at Cassius’ words. “Maybe you should think about your choices before I give you remorse. Now get out of my sight.” Caesar kept walking, his footsteps reflecting his anger.
Cassius felt the same burning tears “you have made m cry.. As you are now” he said sharply. “And you have no right to call me cassius
Caesar kept walking. “Go home, Cassius.” He spat. “You’re unwell and clearly need a good portion of rest.”
“Make me Julius.” cassus said
Caesar stopped. “Oh I’ll make you alright. I’ll make you limp home in a lot of pain.” He revealed a knife. “Now go home before I throw it into your leg.”
Cassius put his hands up but stood his ground “you would never Julius.”
Caesar smiled, playing with the knife. “Oh I would, Cassius. I would. You have pissed me off and I think it’s time I sent you a warning.” He laughed. “Either run home or run home with a knife in your leg.”
