Brutus smiled— then he frowned. Looking at Cassius, he figured something was wrong. "Are you okay? Did I hurt your feelings by chance?"
Brutus smiled— then he frowned. Looking at Cassius, he figured something was wrong. "Are you okay? Did I hurt your feelings by chance?"
“ no, I'm fine..” he said softly
Brutus gave Cassius a skeptical glance. "100% positive?"
“ yes Brutus,” Cassius answered, giving his lover a stern ‘i mean it’ glare
Brutus held up his hands, surrendering to Cassius. “Okay, geez. I was just making sure.” He huffed.
Cassius went back to cooking, not bothering to look up when messala entered. He gave his slave a fair share of the food, not eating any himself. (I'm gonna assume that dressed)
Brutus sat in silence, turning his gaze away from Cassius. Messala being in any general vicinity of him made him uncomfortable. He stood up out of his chair and walked out of the kitchen. He opened the door and stepped outside, taking in the fresh air.
Cassius went back to bed for the hour, his head starting to pain him
Brutus walked back into the house, looking for Cassius. After not finding him, he looked in the bedroom. Sure enough, there he was. "What's wrong, Cass? I know something is wrong."
“ my head is just hurting Brutus dear… “ he said softly, tucking his head in the blankets
Brutus went over to Cassius bedside, kneeling next to him. He gently moved Cass to face him. "Are you sure? Are you sick per chance?"
“No?” Cassius said half-heartedly “I was fine earlier..” he said (Cassius has a seizure now, as in the Shakespeare )
Brutus looked down at Cassius, worry clouding his eyes. He didn't know what to do. He sat on the edge of the bed, putting a hand on Cass' shoulder.
(Boop)
Cassius eyes unfocused, starting to dart back and forth, his body twitching as a small whimper escaped him.
This was only min or as after a few seconds his body started jerking violently and the seizure had started.
The only person to have seen this in Cassius was caesar
Brutus lifted his hand off of Cassius' shoulder. His hand hovered over Cass, eyes looking around the room. He wasn't about to call Messala for help, no. Nor did he want to call upon anyone else. In fact, he rarely knew about seizures all together, just little tidbits of talk mentioning the falling sickness and its display of symptoms. Brutus started to whimper. He felt very useless.
Cassius could feel every ounce of pain as his body curled into a tight and tense ball, his vision black,
Once became out of it, Cassius had started to finally cry, trying to untense his aching body
Brutus sat frozen on the bed, unsure of what he should do. He waited to see if the shaking would stop. He waited to see if it would go away, but it persisted. It stopped eventually and Brutus finally unfroze, hearing the cries of his love. He placed his hand on Cassius cheek, unsure of what had happened. He could gather a vague idea, but it didn't satisfy.
Cassius leaned into his lover's touch once his body stopped contracting. “Hi..” he whispered
Brutus stared blankly at Cassius. "Hi.." He whispered back. His brow was creased and his eyes unfocused. He couldn't focus on real time. There was too much going through his head. "I— what.." He tried to speak, but the words wouldn't come out.
“Please… Don't.. They happen every so often..”
Brutus brushed Cass' cheek with his thumb. "Oh." He didn't have much to say. Instead, he moved to lay with Cass.
“I'm sorry you had to see that..”
Brutus cuddled Cass. “You don’t have to apologize, my love..” He closed his eyes, the scene playing out. “But I wasn’t sure what to do.”
“Just… Roll me on my side..and hold me there.”
