"I… uh…" She was still breathing a quick pace. She got off the couch and hugged Elijah trying to calm herself down. Many of her memories came back, all triggered by the word 'soulmate'.

"Oh…"
He was surprised as she hugged him, but fully sitting on the floor now, he held her there on the hardwood.
Stroking her soft hair, he hummed a little bit to calm to down. To the tune of 'you are my sunshine'.

After about 5 minutes like that, she had calmed down, now just enjoying the feeling of being in someone's arms. "What is that song you were humming? It sounds familiar, but that is something I still don't remember… and it sounded really nice."

"oh…. you are my sunshine."
He says to her, tightening his grin slightly.
"that's what its called"
He smiles at the fact that she knew it. His mother sang it to him before he went to bed every night before she was hospitalized.
Every time he came to visit her in the hospital, they would sing it together.

"Oh yes…" She smiled. "I think, if I'm remembering correctly, me and my sister would sing it from time to time when we were kids." She slightly tightened her grip on Elijah as a couple tears streamed out of her eyes, not sad tears though, she was a little overwhelmed and very happy.

"You are my sunshine…. my only sunshine."
He started singing it, noticing her crying. His voice sounded pure, smooth, and gentle.
Stroking her hair as he sings, he was glad his friends didnt stay.
"You make me happy~ when skies are grey."
She smelled surprisingly good for being a statue that just came to life,
"you'll never know dear~ how much i love you"

She softly sighed. "That was beautiful, where did you learn to sing like that?" She almost felt at home in his arms, dismissing the fact that she had met him only an hour earlier.

"my mother, shes a beautiful singer, you should meet her some time"
He says, still humming the tune.

"I definitely want to." She started humming along with him. Soon they were interrupted by the screaming tea kettle that Elijah had put on earlier.

"oh, can i get that?"
He says to her, running his fingers through her hair.

"Oh yes, of course." She lets go of him so he is able to get the tea kettle.

Getting up, slowly letting go of her hand, not wanting to let go, then calmly taking the kettle off of the stove. Waiting for it to cool down before he pours it in the cups, then noticing the spilled cup on the floor.

Penelope stood up wanting to help him. She slowly made her way into the kitchen and saw the cup on the floor with the, now melted, ice cubes all over. "Do you have a mop or a towel or something I can clean that up with." She picked up the cup and put it in the sink.

"Oh, i got it, just sit down, i can get it…. are you okay?"
He says as he guides her back to the couch.
Then getting a towel, quickly cleaning it up, then throwing it in the laundry room.
Coming back into the kitchen, grabbing another cup, filling it with ice, then pouring the water into it.
Dropping a tea flower bulb into the tea, handing it to Penelope, it was a nice temperature, due to the ice.
"see this flower…. it blooms in the water and turns it into tea. Watch"
He said as he watched it slowly bloom in the water.

(btw this is actually a thing, and there super cool. Good investment (theyre cheap to)

Penelope was in awe as the flower opened. "Wow… that's beautiful!" She got down to the level of the coffee table to have a better view of the tea flower.

(I think I've heard of those before! I really need to get my hands on some)

"Yeah they are!"
He said as he knelt down to watch to. "So, what kind of food and drinks do you like?"
He asks her, while she beams at the flower. He was going to have to know what foods she likes if he was going to take care of her. Or maybe she has a family? He needed to find out, and he was going to.

"Well, I remember eating corn a lot, so I must like that. Um… and lots of sweets." She smiles only remembering the taste of blueberry pie, but she remembers eating many other deserts. "Now that I think about it, I haven't eaten in… 11 years…?"

"Oh golly, lets get you something to eat."
He says standing up, not even fixing himself the tea. Looking in the fridge he didn't have much, but he liked to bake, so why not.
"Hey… Do you like pie? Or cake?"

"Well, I remember really liking pie, so how about that! Can I help you at all? I feel bad just sitting here." Penelope stood up, looking over at Elijah.

"Well, if you want to, you can. But I'm totally fine if you sit on the couch. It'll take a while, and you must be tired, do you wanna take a nap?"
He asked ruffling her hair

She jumps a little, excited. "Okay! I do want to help you, but maybe I'll take a nap when it's cooking. Let's go!"
