Clover nodded. The study hall was on the opposite side of the school from where they were before, so they had to make sure they sped to the next class to make sure they weren't late. She picked up her pace slightly.

Lunette matched her pace to Clover's so she wouldn't be left behind. "What do we do in study hall class?" She asked.

"Well, for now you shouldn't need to do anything, unless some mean teacher gave you an assignment to do as homework on the first day of school. But for most of the rest of the year, you do assignmensts or studying, unless you're lucky enough to have nothing." She explained, with a little smile.

Lunette nodded. "Ah, I see… so it is just a class in which I can do my schoolwork?" She asked. "We have something like that in France."

"Yep! It's really nice. I usually don't have much to do at home, if any, when I have study hall." Clover said as they turned. She scanned the hallway to make sure they were going to right way.

She nodded again. "That is good. Study hall seems to be very convenient and helpful, yes?" She stopped with Clover when they reached the room.

"Yes, very." She agreed. The study hall room was right across the hall from the library so people often checked in with the teacher then went to the library. "So, do you have anything to work on this early in the school year?" Clover asked, smiling.

Lunette shook her head. "No. I have not been assigned any homework yet other than having my parents sign a syllabus, which I cannot do here, obviously. You?"

"Me neither. Do you wanna go to my favorite cafe with me? If someone has nothing, the teacher in charge lets us go off campus, especially since we have lunch after this." Clover said, smiling and going into the room.

"Sure! That sounds fun!" Lunette grinned. "I have money in my phone, so I should be able to get something there." She followed Clover into the classroom.
(Also can I have this study hall teacher? Lmao)

"Perfect! Usually, we would just need to wait for the bell to ring and check-in with the teacher. But who knows what they'll have us or you do since it's the first day." Clover said smiling. She lead Lunette to a table and sat down while they waited.

Lunette nodded, grinning as well as they sat down. Considering this was just a study hall, the teacher didn't bother introducing Lunette to the class, which she didn't mind.

After a minute or two, and about half the class coming in, the bell rang. Clover jumped up from the chair so they could go check-in with the teacher.

Lunette followed her up, figuring she should probably be there too. She stood quietly and patiently beside Clover.

"Hello, Mr. Black, can Lunette and I leave this class now? We both do not have any work to do." Clover asked politely, giving him a small smile as well.

Lunette added a polite smile of her own, resting one hand on her little purse as she looked up at the teacher.

"Hello? Mr. Black?" Clover asked after she got no response from the teacher. She drummed her fingers on her leg in time with a song she sight read in band.

(Oh I'm the teacher lol)
He glanced up from the work he was doing. "Hmm? Oh, yes… as long as you don't have any other work, feel free to go. Just be back before next period."

"Thank you so much! See you later." Clover said smiling again. She looked over to Lunette then turned around to head to the door.

"Merci!" Lunette waved and followed Clover, grinning as well. "Which cafe are we going to?" She asked once they were out.

"Eh, I forgot the name, but we'll find out soon enough," Clover answered. She continued out of the school, going to the parking lot over to her car. She fished around in her backpack for her keys as they got to her car. She unlocked her car and opened the door, sitting down in the driver's seat.

Lunette got into the passenger side and buckled herself in. "Ready!" She announced, still grinning. "I am excited! Are you?"

"Of course I am! It's my favorite cafe and I'll never get tired of it." Clover said as she started the car and backed out of the parking spot. She circled some cars then pulled out of the school.

"I am glad to experience it, then. I like to see people's favorite things and places." Lunette watched the cars go by outside her window.

"Great! It's just a short drive, so we'll be there soon." Clover said smiling with a glance to Lunette, then back to the road. She turned on the radio, a song the liked playing. She started singing to it quietly.
