"Oh, by the way, you're outfit is really cute," Clover said as they got to the classroom number. She smiled at Lunette. "We're here! Uh, let's get inside before the bell rings." She started walking in and saw there were only two seats left… not next to each other.
"Thank you!" Lunette followed her into the room and looked around. "Do we have assigned desks?" She asked quietly, not sure whether or not the class had begun yet.
"No, not yet at least, but everyone already took their seats while waiting for class to start. Would you rather sit closer to the front or back? We're going to have to sit separately, but at least we have the same class." Clover explained as she looked over the class. It was a large class, that was the only reason there were only 2 seats left, just enough for everyone.
"I have no preference." Lunette replied. She glanced down at her schedule again and looked out at the desks. "I do not think it matters much. They will probably reorder us soon after the ring of the bell."
"Ah, okay. Perfect 'cause I would honestly rather sit closer to the back. And let's hope you're right." Clover smiled at Lunette then went to her seat. She leaned her head on her hand and waited for class to start.
Lunette smiled softly and took the empty desk. She was vaguely aware of the eyes of the other students on her, particularly a few of the boys, but she paid them no mind. She just faced forward and waited for the bell.
Clover glanced out the window then back to the front of the classroom, Lunette catching her attention for a split second. A moment later, the bell rang. The teacher came into the classroom and went to the front. "Hello, class! I'm Mrs. Brownwell. So before we get started today, I know you all are probably wondering who this stranger is… Well, we have a new student! Could you please come up and introduce yourself?" She said to the class, then to Lunette.
Lunette nodded and stood up, going to the front of the class as instructed. She didn't look nervous, at least. "Hello! I'm Lunette Baribeau. It's nice to meet you all!" She smiled, her French accent particularly strong in her introduction.
Clover smiled and watched as Lunette introduced herself. She looked so confident. At this school, Clover would be pretty confident, but if she transferred to another school, let alone another country, she would be a lot less confident.
"Thank you, miss Baribeau. We are happy to have you and I hope you enjoy our school! You may go back to your seat." The teacher said before continuing on with the class.
Lunette thanked the teacher and went back to her seat, starting to take notes in French. Her handwriting was very neat and pretty, and would be incredibly easy to read if one knew French. She listened attentively and occasionally asked questions when she didn't quite understand particular English phrases.
Clover took out her notebook as well and started taking notes. The difference between Clover and Lunette was that her handwriting was incredibly messy. She could read her writing, but if someone else had to, it would probably be very difficult. Her notes were also full of random little drawings or doodles.
The class went by without much else interesting happening. The bell rang and Lunette gathered up her little pink notebook along with her pen. She stood up and headed over to Clover, smiling.
Clover put all her stuff back in her bag and stood up, seeing Lunette coming over while smile. She smiled in response. "How was class? And do you want me to help you with finding your next class?" She asked as they started walking out of the class together.
"It was good! Your classes are not unlike French classrooms. Not much, anyway. And yes! I still do not understand the placement of numbers, and I do enjoy your company." Lunette took out her schedule again.
Clover's smiled widened slightly. "Thank you! I like your company as well. But just a tip with classrooms, if they are in the two hundred's, they are upstairs. If they are in the one hundred's, they are downstairs." Clover looked over Lunette's shoulder to see where her next class was.
Lunette nodded in understanding, looking down at her paper. "My next number is… two hundred and thirteen. It is much easier to list numbers in English." She giggled quietly.
Clover laughed a little with Lunette. "Ok, I know where this class is, I'm not in it but I can show you where it is." She said as she lightly grabbed Lunette's wrist and took her to the next class, smiling all the while.
Lunette allowed Clover to drag her along with a smile on her face the whole way. "What is the class?" She asked. "I am having difficulty reading the English word…"
Clover stopped so she could help Lunette. "Oh yeah, it's geography. You know what geography means in English, right?" She said letting go of Lunette's wrist.
"Yes. It is about the land, correct? The world?" She asked, raising her eyebrows a bit questioningly.
"Yes, you're right. There's also culture and stuff as well. Physical geography which is land and world stuff, and human geography which is the culture and stuff." Clover explained. She pulled out her phone and slipped into a slight frown. "I have to go before I'm late for my next class. So I'll see you later then, yes?"
"Yes, yes. Goodbye!" Lunette waved and went into her class, sitting down in a random open seat. Once class started, she was asked to introduce herself again.
Clover waved to Lunette as well then went downstairs. She was a very fast walker, it helped in times like this when she was worried about being late to class, or anything for that matter. She got to class before half of it was even there. That always happened, but better to be safe than sorry.
Like the last class, after Lunette's introduction, nothing too interesting happened. She left the classroom when the bell ring and stood outside the door to wait for Clover, where one of the boys in the class approached her. "Hey." He said.
"Hello! May I help you?" Lunette asked, adjusting her grip on her books.
"We should hook up sometime, yeah?"
"What is 'hook up'?" She seemed confused, and a little bit uneasy.
Clover, not like usual, was the first one out of the classroom. Usually, she stayed back and thanked the teacher, but she wanted to make sure Lunette found her next class. Back up the stairs, Lunette was in sight. She approached Lunette, confused to see a boy with her. Although, it was all but unavoidable. This guy was known to jump on any new girl to the class, the school, and all the freshmen girls. Clover sighed and gave the guy a glare before turning to Lunette. "So where's your next class?"
