Teylie giggled happily and added somewhat dramatically "With twists and narrow escapes!"
Teylie giggled happily and added somewhat dramatically "With twists and narrow escapes!"
“And explosions! And lost loves!” She laughed a deep laugh.
"And in the end?" She said, a small smile on her face "A happy ending."
The woman nodded. “A happy ending indeed.”
"When are you able to leave?" Teylie asked, gently grabbing her drink again.
The woman yawned and stretched. Her nametag glittered. Dre’lia.
“Whenever, really, since I own this place.”
She nodded "Ok," looking at her nametag Teylie asked "Can I just call you Dre? or Lia?"
Dre’lia looked down at her tag. “Oh, whichever. I don’ mind.”
"Dre it is," She said, nodding slightly. She stood up and stretched, leaving her drink on the counter.
Dre smiled and nodded. “Thanks. That’s kinda what I prefer. Are you ready to go?”
Teylie smiled "Yup, are you?" she took her drink and finished it off quickly before smiling again.
“Yep. I just have to count the cash an’ grab my coat.” She smiled.
She nodded and watched Dre "Sounds good,"
Dre grabbed the cash from the register and counted it quickly. She wrote the total down, pocketed it, then turned off the lights and grabbed her coat.
“Meet ‘cha out back?”
"Will do," Teylie nodded again and walked outside to the back of the bar.
Dre walked through the doors and locked it up, smiling as she trotted up. “You have a car to ride, sweetie?”
"Yup, I parked it out front. Should I go get it?" She asked, pointing over her shoulder with her thumb.
“Yep. Then you can lead the way to… wherever.” She shrugged.
Teylie nodded "I actually have no idea of where to go first."
Dre blinked at her. “Y-you don’t?”
She looked at the ground and shook her head "No…I don't know this town..I didn't even know how to get to my brothers house before today."
Dre paused in her motion. “Well… we can figure it out. Where does your brother work?”
"I don't know, he's never told me." Teylie looked at Dre saddly "Is that a bad thing?"
Dre frowned and pulled her jacket on. “No, dear. It’s not your fault. But your brother definitely has something to hide. And we’re gonna get it out of him.”
She nodded "Ok, his house first?" She rubbed her arms and looked at the ground.
