In the late 1800s of industrial France, terror is brewing. Since the beginning of time every human has been born with an animal that reflects their spirit-to-be; and when that person reaches moral maturity, they are granted a single power. Most people don't master their power until their bodies are incapable of following through anymore, in their late age.
As industries grow and choke out the lives of people worldwide, the energy these animals produced are being stolen and used as energy for newborn electrical systems. Its up to you, your partners, and your animals, to stop this plague from spreading worldwide.

Name: Maurine DuBoise
Age: 19
Gender: F
Sexuality: will develop
Personality: The norm for ladies of late France, preoccupied with delicate dress and insubordination. However, her unhappiness with life has yet to connect with these issues… For now, she just blames herself for being unhappy. Easily prone to being taken advantage of but was never taught how to handle it.
Appearance: From obvious French descent, with blonde hair, Hazel eyes, and a small face. Unfortunately attractive.
Spirit animal: European dragon, an aggressive little creature. His name is Beetle.
Basically, he's from a clan in China and came to France for a "Meeting" and yeah.
Clan, you know. A large family.
Oh, ok, sorry! I don't hear it used like that a whole lot so my brain wigged. Shall we start?
Maurine peered out the window of her upper-class home. She could hear her parents downstairs, bickering as always, it was white noise nowadays. Beetle was by her, making a nest out of torn paper on the desk.
Jaye walked quietly down the streets, humming to himself as he does so. He was rather tired from so much travelling. But that's how it went usually. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair before tying it back. He lets out a small sigh. He wanted to go back home, but he needed to be here… in France.
Maurine sank into the chair. She picked up a balled piece of paper from the trash bin, and tossed it out the window into the street.
He looked down when a piece of paper landed at his face. His face twisted with confusion. He looked around before picking it up. "What do you think girl?" He offered it to his noodle dragon, Fei. She sniffs at it then huffs. He chuckles and looks up at the window. "Excuse me?" He calls up towards the open window.
The woman didn't hear him at first, but took a double take. "H-H, oh, I'm so sorry!" She called down to him. "I didn't mean to hit anyone!"
"You almost hit me ma'am." He hands the paper to Fei and she floats gracefully up to the window and offers it to the woman. Jaye offered his hand and Fei returned, wrapping around his arm gently.
She took it back. "Oh, your animal," she spoke, "I have a dragon as well,"
He chuckles. "She is a noodle dragon." Fei nudges his cheek affectionately. He smiles and scratches her chin gently.
She giggled and disappeared from the window. She returned shortly with Beetle on the windowsill; the tiny dragon glittered like obsidian in the daylight. "I, his name is Beetle."
Fei looked up at the dragon and floated back up, gazing at the dragon and sticks out her tongue, making a little blep noise. He laughs. "She likes Beetle."
Beetle gave her a bit of a condescending expression, and flared his wings like a scared bird would. Maurine giggled. "Oh, he's harmless, don't worry,"
