Eden blinked. He’d thrown her off her rhythm. “Of course not,” She replied without a doubt. “And if anybody gives you any shirt, I’ll play favorites and I’ll words will be had, hands thrown, if necessary. Because you aren’t hurting anyone, there’s no reason for anyone to be shitty to you.”
“Come on. We’re going to work, o Pizza Guardian.” She pushed the door open and made her way to the car.
He follows quietly the pizza still in hand
Eden pulls into a parking spot in front of her work. After turning the car off, she steps out of the car.
Jack looks at her then gets out also.
After locking the doors, she continues into the building. “Welcome to my workplace.”
He nods and holds her hand.
She leads him inside, waving at one of her coworkers. She made her way to the back, stopping a little bit before the employee’s area. “Okay, for the time being, you’re just a customer and I am just an employee. I don’t wanna be that one girl who brought her boyfriend into work,” she laughed, letting go of his hand.
She smiles at him before pushing open the door to the mysterious ‘Employees Only’ realm. She greets more of her coworkers as she clocks in.
(Idk how working…works, so I’m honestly just going of the office and superstore)
Jack looks around for a little while.
Someone comments on Eden’s hair. She smiles, thanking them, and saying, “My boyfriend did it.” To which they gaped, very interested in whether this boyfriend was…the boyfriend, as in the one that was destined to be with her forever, the one she’d someday soon marry without any question of whether it was the choice. And when she nodded, they asked to know more, or turned away with jealousy at her finding her soulmate so young.
Some customers talked to jack but he typed to them so he doesn't hurt his throat.
Eden came back out, name tag on, smile equipped. She caught Jack’s eye, giving him a little wink before taking her place re pricing items.
He blushes and looks away.
A coworker comes over to her and asks if he’s that guy. This is someone Eden can trust not to throw a hissy fit at management, so she says yes. The coworker waves at Jack in excitement.
Eden gushed about how great he is while she scans merchandise. The other one reshelves fallen goods to look productive. They begin to move down the aisle as Eden finishes sections.
Jack was talking to an older lady.
(Cool. Just to the end of the shift)
