Michi slipped into the changing room. While she was in there, someone tapped Sita's shoulder.
"And who might you be, lass?" A deep voice asked.
Michi slipped into the changing room. While she was in there, someone tapped Sita's shoulder.
"And who might you be, lass?" A deep voice asked.
Sita whipped around, her wings fluttering and her face stubborn as she held up the VIP pass. "Sita. Michi let me in."
A huge man stood behind her. He was very much muscly, with a guard uniform on and a hat on his head. His and were crossed.
"Oh? And tell me, Sita, if Michi let you in, why have I never heard of ya?"
Sita put on a defiant expression, turning herself all the way around to face him. "I'm her girlfriend," She stated, never taking her gaze off of him. "We started dating a couple days ago. That's why."
The man looked Sita up and down.
"Ma? Into you?" he laughed.
“Mhm.” Sita responded, taking her hand behind her back and taking out a bid of Red. Too much healing could harm someone, especially someone with bad intentions. “Why is that so hard to believe?”
"She's way to old for ya lass. Ell, she's too old for anyone." Ash looked at the door behind Sita sadly.
"That's your opinion," Sita argued, clenching her jaw.
Clenching his fist, he stepped forward.
"Now ya lisen here, lass. I ain't gonna have a tenderfoot like you playin with Ma's heart. I'd get out before ya do, our you'll have to deal with me."
Defiant as ever, Sita shook her head, the red ball of thick ink-like Red swirled behind her back. "What'd you just call me? A tenderfoot? Do I look tender to you?"
"Compared to my Ma, you'll always be a tenderfoot." Ash had a vicious look on his face, but there was a hint of sadness as well.
"To her? Oh, definitely. I asked if I looked tender to you," Sita responded, just as vicious. She may have been a little short, but her Red wasn't all she had defending her - she was a paramedic, and had been a medic in the armed forces for a couple years as well.
"Yes, ya do." A shadow fell over Ash's face. Suddenly, someone put their hand on Ash's shoulder.
"That's enough, Ash," they said, stepping out from behind him. It was Hinata.
Sita's eyes widened in surprise and she moved the Red back into her, wings fluttering. "Hinata." She greeted.
"Sita." She still had her hand on Ash's shoulder. He showed halfheartedly. She started to lead him away, then turned back.
"What I said still stands. Don't hurt her." They disappeared as Michi opened the door, back in her usual outfit.
"I'm done," she said, slipping her hand into Sita's.
"Thank god," She muttered, taking it. "You know a guy named Ash?"
Michi groaned.
"What did he do?"
"Well…" Sita considered what to say. "He called me a tenderfoot, for one. Said I shouldn't be near you. He also called you Ma, which, to be honest, I'm a little confused about," She admitted, looking down at Michi.
"Yeah… Most everything is confusing about me. Well, first off: he's a robot. Secondly: he's my legally adopted son. Thirdly: I'll have a talk with him later." Michi have a sad smile.
"I am not going to question any of that and instead go along with it." Sita replied with a shrug and a small smile. "I don't find you confusing. More…interesting."
Michi smile brightly.
"You're amazing, Sita," she said, leaning into Sita's arm. At the end of the hall, Hinata and Ash could be seen peaking out from around the corner in a very comical way.
"So are you," She mumbled, nodding her head over to the two figures. "Looks like we've got company."
Michi glanced over, then stifled a giggle.
"Don't worry about them; they may act all big and tough, but their both marshmallows at heart. Usually."
"I was about this close to punching your robot son in the face," Sita admitted, holding her fingers very close together.
Michi sighed lightly.
"Most people are."
