"Bet." She grinned with the reply.
"Bet." She grinned with the reply.
Damian held her stare for a few moments before huffing and slouching back in his seat.
"Thought so." She lowered her head back down.
"Whatever." He grumbled, scanning the restaurant for the waiter.
Starr looked up. "You couldn't leave me. I'm your navigation."
"I could totally navigate on my own." He absolutely could not. He had the navigation skills of a rock.
"Yeah right. You would get lost within fifteen minutes," she retorted knowingly.
"No!" He said defensively. "I can read a map!"
"No you can't," she challenged.
"It's not that hard! You just look at it, and find where you are a and where you want to go!"
She laughed. "Please, you couldn't read a map if your life depended on it."
"You're so mean!" Damian whined, crossing his arms over his chest.
"No, I'm honest. There's a difference."
"Honest and mean can go hand in hand, excuse."
"No, there's a difference."
"Of course you would say that."
"What is that supposed to mean?" she retorted.
"Nothing." He said cheekily, crossing his arms and refusing to expand.
She shook her head. "You are crazy."
"Maybe so. What about it?" He grinned smugly.
She shook her head. "I don't even know anymore."
The waitress came back, apologizing profusely for the wait. "I'm so sorry, there was a mishap in the kitchen. Somebody put an entire head of lettuce in the frier."
Starr bit her lip heavily so she didn't laugh loudly. "Oh. That sounds… interesting."
The waitress, who's nametag read 'Vicky', laughed. "Yeah, that's one way to put it. Alright, what can I get you two?"
"Chocolate shake and a side of fries, please." Damian said, before looking over at Starr.
"Same thing," Starr replied. Her fingers blindly unwrapped a piece of gum in her pocket.
