Do we just want Hamlet, or do we want to bring in references to other plays too?
I feel like Macbeth would kill his way up in a mob
The city of Verona is cutthroat, and it was no surprise that bootlegger king Hamlet Elsinore had been found brutally murdered in his gardens. His brother claims the power, leaving his only child and heir bitter and betrayed. And with the rise of other families in Verona, that is a very dangerous thing to be.
Oh shit. Yes I love that. Blending is a great idea. Although we'll have to play multiple characters.
I wish there were more Shakespeare lovers around.

Dude I'd play literally every character in most of the plays if given the chance.
No seriously, I've actually written that on audition sheets.

Are there any others? I think Dom and Moxie were on the Much Ado one…
We can tag them if they want to join?
@The-Althalosian @Moxie
Join us in this madness
Lowkey want Hamlet and Laertes to have fought together in WW1 but have a disagreement at some point and not be friends anymore.
Also they're vaguely exes?
Maybe Verona can have a few different mobs/mafias/families vying for power.
The Elsinores, the Lears, the Andronicuses, the Yorks, the Lancasters, the Caesars, the La Fey family (Oberon and Titania), the Macbeths/Invernesses, the Capulets and Montagues, and I'm blanking on other powerful families from Shakespeare.
Whoa whoa whoa
wait hang on
how many characters do you expect us to 'play'?
I am literally in the process of reading hamlet right now. So if you’re okay with most of my knowledge being based off of sparknotes, I’m here. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait a bit.
I'm cool with Sparknotes

Not anyone outside of Hamlet, but I figured we could reference a bigger picture to like set the scene and stuff.

They've got some lit memes, in both senses of the word.
