”You trust me right?” River asked.
”You trust me right?” River asked.
"I mean… y-yeah…"
"Then trust me when I tell you there is nothing to be worried about. Also, my name is River. A freakin body of water how you not trust me. I also pasted every boating test," River added.
"I'm just… I'm scared of falling in because I can't swim…" Cas started shaking a bit more and he tightened his grip on his paddle.
"I'll still be here you know and if you really need me to I will swim you back to short. Not joking. Seriously, We'll be fine. You'll be fine," River smiled. "They teach you how to swim you know."
Cas shrugged, closing his eyes and trying to focus on something else. He kept moving the paddle, but he was still making the boat shake.
Once they were far enough River stopped paddling and turned around. River stole a light kiss from Cas and smiled.
Cas blushed and tentatively looked up at River. Just focus on him… don't look at the water… He forced himself to keep his eyes on River, though he could still see the water in his peripheral vision.
River held Cas's hand and lightly kissed them. "Just focus on me. Nothing else. Just look at me," River smiled pulling a strand of hair behind Cas's ear.
Cas nodded, holding his breath and ignoring the blue at the corners of his vision. "I… I-I love you…" He whispered, having to take a couple short breaths after doing so.
River’s eyes widened then became soft. ”I love you too, ” he said softly.
"Can I… d-do you mind if I hold your hand?" He asked weakly, reaching out one hand to River.
"You don't have to ask love," he chuckled and kissed Cas's cheek, taking his hands and lacing their fingers together.
Cas held tightly to him, finding a bit of comfort in the other's touch. "Thanks…"
"Anytime, How about we get out rom the middle of the lake before dinner. It's already starting to get around that time. I also want to do a little shooting and get back on my game," River chuckled. "We can go somewhere tonight yeah?"
Cas nodded. "Sounds good, love… let's just not stay out here much longer, yeah?"
"Of course," He smiled and started to paddle back to the doc. Once they got back to the doc River helped Cas out of the boat. He did a boat knot so it wouldn't float away. They took off their life jackets and put the paddles away. "Ready?"
"Mhmm." Cas took River's hand and walked off with him. "We're going to archery now, right Riv?" He asked, looking up at the other.
(I'm SORRY I though I answered this! Also, does River have glasses I forget. XD)
"Indeed we are," he smiled and started walking in the direction. It wasn't a long walk and once they got there they got a big greeting from the counselors
(It's fine and idk lol. Unless you actually mean Cas, in which case no)
Cas stayed quiet, but weakly smiled at the counselors whenever he was greeted. He let River do most of the talking.
River grabbed a bow and five arrows from the cabinet. He set up his stand and waited for people to retrieve. "Is there anything you want to do Cas?"
"I'm fine to just watch for now." Cas sat at a nearby bench to watch River.
"If you say so. Just tell me if you want to go somewhere okay?" River smiled and began shooting. His aim was off at the beginning, but got the hand of it. He hadn't shot in a while so he a bit rusty.
Cas watched him curiously, clapping whenever he did particularly well.
When it was time to head back to the bung before lunch River took one last shot getting a bullseye. River cheered then went to retrieve. He put everything back and walked up to Cas. “Ready?”
