He jerked around with an annoyed glare of his own. He would look pretty scary if it weren't for the light shining perfectly down on the water, reflecting off of his pale skin, his Raven black hair falling over one eye when he did. Not to mention the fact he was shirtless. Though he quickly brought the sweatshirt close to his side, ready to put it on but not quite.
"I come here every day actually. I just happened to found a dog on the way here. Though I was raised being told to not touch strays. Could have rabies or flees if you know what I mean." he turned back around, skipping another rock across the pond until it sank to the bottom.
"I could have killed you in your sleep if I wanted to. You're welcome" he rolled his eyes before glancing back at the girl, his eyes looking golden in the sun as they were really reflective (that's why I call them mirror like. They legit look like shattered mirrors)
Val averted her eyes, slowly realizing through her sleep that Min was shirtless. She looked at the lake, watching as the fish lazily swimming around.
“Be glad that you found me and not my brother.” She mumbled with a small smirk. “You’re right about the first part, wrong about the rabies. Fleas are more of a summer thing.” she shrugged with a shake of her head, as shaking out her fur.
“Aw, common curtesy does extend even to The blood suckers. How kind.” She mocked, rolling her eyes and chuckling softly. “So instead of killing me, you watched as I slept? I’d almost call that cute if you weren’t a stranger if only met yesterday.” She looked back at him with her golden-amber eyes
“What drew you here? What drew you to stay, knowing the danger?” She asked, pulling out a book and resting it in her lap
He cringed a bit when she mentioned the flees, shaking his head a bit as he did.
Standing and wading into the water slowly, he still liked to feel the cold water on his skin.
“Well…” he waded it more, leaving his hoodie behind “I was looking for some food around here whenever I found this place about a year ago. I found this place peaceful. I’m not afraid of a few dogs” he says casually as he let his hand grazed the surface of the water, the fish swimming around him peacefully,
(Sorry it’s short, I’m in a big hurry but I still wanted to reply)
(It’s ok! Don’t worry about it)
She glared away so he wouldn’t see her flush.
“No, not dogs. Dogs wouldn’t hurt you. Wolves on the other hand, they’d tear you to shreds.”
She opened her book and started reading, shielding her face with her hair. “I hope you mean normal hunting food and not any of my pack members.”
“Werewolf is pretty tasteless other than the metallic taste to it. The silver in your guys blood burns a bit, so it would Be better to hunt a human. I’m not scared to hunt them though. I’ve done it before” he shrugged, turning back to her
“Watchya readin?” He raised an eyebrow
She looked up, her eyes blazing with anger and hatred. “Who’d you kill?” She tried to ask as casually as possible, though her voice broke a few times out of rage.
She stood slowly, carefully setting the book down and walking in a slow circle around the banks of the lake, trying to keep her demeanor calm.
If he killed a member of her pack…anyone she knew….Gods above help him.
He shrugged "I don't know. I didn't want to kill them. I hate getting involved with wolves. But it attacked my sister and my friend and I wasn't going to stand by to watch them get killed" he turned around to face her "you would do the same thing for anyone you loved too. You have no right to be mad at me mutt" his words burned his throat as he spoke. He didn't like talking about that but She wasn't going to let it go if he didn't. The slow memories flashed in his mind when he turned around and looked down at the fish touching his leg but quickly swimming away due to how much cold he was. Animals never liked how cold he was unless it was in the summer. But he never liked them.
Val slowly relaxed as she realized what was being told to her. He didn’t attack a pack member, at not a loyal one. They all knew not to engage with other immortal folk. Not in battle at least and certainly not with children no matter the species. They all valued the off spring.
She slumped back down into an awkward sitting position and clothed her book tight, now starting to tremble with both relief and shame.
“She’s alright, right? The wolf didn’t get to her before you could kill the, right?” She didn’t look at Min, didn’t want to see the hatred for her kind in his beautiful eyes. She’d hate herself far greater if his answer was ‘no.’
His head visibly shook for a little as he remembered that night, but he quickly regained his confidence. "she's just blind now, that's all" he crossed his arms, a tattoo on the left side of his chest now visible. A black crow in mid-flight. https://pin.it/zcelLcN
"she's fine though. She's the one with white hair in the school. Can't miss her" he chuckled at her brilliant looks. She stuck out like a sore thumb. Nobody really ever thinks she's blind but if you really look you can always tell her eyes are never focused with a light light blue grey hue to them and her bright smile.
"she was only 15" he mumbled, looking back away. His dark eyebrows pressed together as he thought more about it before turning away from her not showing his face.
It wasn't like she would care. She hated him. He was a monster and a natural enemy to her kind.
She hung her head low and gritted her teeth. She wasn't supposed to have any remorse for his kind, knowing what they'd done to her own pack a few years ago.
But still, she couldn't help but feel pained. She was only 15. repeated itself in her head. And how old was mom? no more than late 40's.
"Yeah..I've seen her around in the halls…didn't know she was your little sister." She bit back a pathetic laugh and squeezed her eyes shut, her own painful memories flashing in her memory.
"A rogue….Lone wolves who don't follow any more codes, not even their own. They kill and torturer for the fun of it." she explained softly, glancing up at Min but not being able to focus on his form.
"it's fine. I ripped the bastard to shreds anyway." he says turning around and walking back to the bank, his hair wet as he ran both of his hands through it, dripping onto his face. He didn't dare look at her. He felt a bit bad. Maybe he shouldn't have said anything.
No… He wasn't going to soft just because of this little girl.
Min-Hyuk sat on one of the rocks, room for about one more person or two to sit beside him as he skipped rocks, scaring some of the fish away as it just skimmed the surface of the water. The rock where he sat was wet, reflective water droplets on his skin sliding down as if they were diamonds in the sun.
His eyes shifted to her and he patted the spot beside him before turning and throwing another rock.
(hey! So um I'm kind of proud of this. I drew Min-Hyuk today (one on paper and one on my drawing pad) and I wanted to show you since he's in this role-play. If that's okay :3)
(I love him! He looks amazing! Great drawings btw! I like it a lot!)
She could only nod at the moment and focus on her breathing and the rippling water beside her. When she looked up at Min when he got out of the water she was forced to quickly look away. Gods above save her, how could someone so lethal be so gorgeous.
She shifted and padded over, momentarily sniffing the air around him to check for any signs of hostility or danger. Sensing none, Val settled beside him and warily watched as he skipped stones across the water, fighting her canine instincts to go chase them.
Tilting her head towards him, she swished her tail and let out a small whine, wanting to say so much but not knowing how without regretting her words
(ah thank you! Its my first actual digital drawing of him :)
He tossed a small stone up and down in his hand before throwing it to the water. He felt the stiff air around him and sighed, raking his fingers through his hair to move it out of his face. Since it was wet it worked a lot better than it usually did. "say something now before you regret not saying it later. It's too quite" he says calmly as he leaned down to the rocks and picked out the flat ones, handing a pure white one to her. He was trying to be nice. Having no reason to be hostile at the moment, he was as calm as a sleeping cat. Still awarebof it's surroundings, listening for any sounds behind them and looking out for danger.
Her ears flattened, slightly annoyed that he could sense her emotions so easily. She lifted her head and nudged the rock with her snout before glancing up at him. She gave a playful bark before nudging the small white rock to him. not so quiet now huh vampire?
She barked again and stood, jumping into the water and looking back at him. She crouched and jumped around again, splashing water up. i met you yesterday, i’m Not telling you anything…not yet. I’ll let you wonder for a while.
"never thought I'd find myself playing with an animal… Let alone a dog" he mumbled to himself with a little smile as he stood and stepped off of the rock and into the water with a splash. It was weird to see a girl one minute and a barking giant dog the other. His shirt getting soaked on the rock by the splash which he was a bit annoyed since the reason he took it off was so it wouldn't get wet. He ducked underwater for a fee seconds and looked around underwater as the fish swam away from the cold bubbles he blew to the top before popping back up, running both hands through his hair before shaking his head like a wet dog himself. The water dripped from his muscles and his hair as he shook it off. "do you do this regularly? " he let out a small laugh as he looked back up to her, a half smile showing his deadly fangs. Acting as reminder.. His guard was never completely down.
(Sorry, I was responding to this one last night and then it kicked me out in the middle of typing)
Val shrugged at his question and answered with a bark. She shifted back when she reached the middle of the lake, her clothing clinging to her skin “yeah, sometimes. Never while someone, let alone a vampire watched though.” She ducked down under the water and swam around for a bit before breaking the sofa down as a wolf. She swam to the edge and shook out her fur silver droplets of water flyin from her black coat. She glanced around for Min and bared her teeth at him as her own smile, almost challengingly. She turned slowly before trotting off, breaking off into a wild run along the bank of the lake
He looked away slightly when her clothes clung to her body showing every curve on her. He was just Lucky she wasn’t wearing white (is she?)
Min-Hyuk raised a brow before shaking his head and stepping up to the bank himself, stepping on a bigger rock before he ran a long with her, quickly catching up. He never liked running, as when he was still a human he had asthma and a lot of breathing problems, which faded away once he was turned. That was one of the only things he was grateful for. But the feeling of running always reminded him of back then when he could never breath correctly and his lungs would feel as if they collapsed.
Coming in step with the wolf, he swiveled around some trees, heading towards the waterfall where the lake down here started. The wind blowing through his hair and filling his lungs made him feel weightless. For the first time in such a long time he actually enjoyed himself.
(No, she was wearing black)
Val let out a howl of joy as they ran. Ever since she a pup she loved running through the forest with her parents and brother. She growled softly as she saw Min flash through the trees, surprised by his speed, she knew vamps gained speed when turned but she never knew the extent of their abilities. She broke off from the banks to an upper path that led to a steeper incline of rocks and the falls. When she’s was younger, Chire used to tease her when she couldn’t bring herself to jump down from the cliff. Now she did it without effort, lundging over the side and diving into the water below, shifting mid fall so she wouldn’t hit the water with so much force
He stopped at the edge as he looked up at her with wide eyes and a small smirk as he watched her jump off and shift. She was quite beautiful and he found himself thinking that every time he looked at her.
He forcfully shoved the thoughts down before running to the top, diving off into the water gracefully with a splash. The water was as clear as day as it hadn’t been disturbed my any unnatural beings in a while. Opening his eyes, his black hair blue in the sunlight the peirced the surface of the water floating around his face.
Wide grey eyes with a tint of red in on eye looked at the girl under the water. Her hair flowing gracefully underneath the water. He felt as if he were flying.
(Okay but like, what if they have like a little connection moment with each other under water and it’s really pretty and elegant and low key a cheesy romance underwater scene but like not with romance since they don't really know each other, but like a connection.?)
(Also, when is her brother going to come in and like hate Mins guts. Because I’m lowkey looking forward to that XD)
(I like that a lot! Yeah let’s do it! And don’t worry, Chire’s coming soon XD)
Val turned around while still under water in time to see Min break through the surface. His skin glistened under water, reflecting the clear water and sunlight. She wonder for probably the thousandth time that day if his skin was as smooth and supple and the books described vampire skin to be. Or was it rough like human skin, scared with work and battles untold by words? She shook her head out of thought watched him as they both floated around, careful not to make any sudden movements so as to not disturb the blissful moments. Her heart raced as they floated closer together, knowing if it was audible to her it was audible to him but she couldn’t bring herself to move away or break eye contact with him.
He felt his heart point hard against his bare chest when she turned around, slowly edging towards her. The water around him was even colder than usual.
Even underwater he smelled the sweet scent of silver it her blood, which would burn his throat if he drank it. But it acted as a drug to him. Her scent, her movements, how her hair floated around her gorgeous face. Were they really enemies? He didnt feel repulsed by her. If anything he was drawn to her.
The colorful fish swam around the two and soon they weren’t even an inch apart. Looking straight into her eyes, he saw something he’s never seen in a wolves eyes. He couldn’t put his finger on it.
A lovely feeling almost warmed his blood before his smooth cold skin touched hers ever so slightly.
Who was this girl? And why did she have this effect on him?
(EEK I’m excited!)
(Aaah saaammeee!!!)
Val gently reached out a hand and placed it on his chest so he wouldn’t drift so close, unfazed by the coolness of his skin. She could feel his rapid heartbeat, one that matched own. She gazed up into his eyes, fragmented pieces of glass that had clouded over, wanting to drown in the pools of grey and black. No one in the world had his eyes, there was no equivalent to their unnatural beauty.
After a few moments of their blissful floating, she pointed up to the surface and carefully pushed him back so she had enough space to swim up.
Breaking the surface of the water with a gasp she pushed hair hair back from her face and smiled as she floated on her back, waiting for Min to come up for air.
