((Aaahhhhhhhh!! So did I kinda forget about Notebook? Maybe. That took a lot longer than I ever thought, I sincerely apologize. I won't be super active still though, at least not as active as I was before the unexpected hiatus. Once again, I'm very sorry about that.))
((That's totally fine, I get it!! Life is life))
((Thank you so much!))
Atlas jerked to the side ever so slightly, surprised by Nikolas' poke. Just as quickly, he relaxed against his boyfriend once again. "I appreciate it, I'd rather not have an existential crisis. No matter how fun it may seem." He said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
After the manager wrote down Cinthia's email address, an audible sigh came from the other end. "Okay, well that all I believe… good with Fox I guess. He gets distracted easily and sometimes he gets in a 'mood' and he's hard to deal with. But you probably know this already. Bye… hopefully forever." He said the last part in less than a whisper as he hung up.
Nikolas laughed softly and kiss the top of Atlas' head, then shot a quick smirk over at Cinthia when she sent a dry look their way, unimpressed with their PDA. The girl distantly heard the man's last words before he hung up, and she huffed a soft laugh as she turned off the phone. "Congrats. You're officially free of that mongrel and soon to be a part of the same studio as your boyfriend—once everything with the soon-to-be band is in order." She arched a brow at Nikolas, silent confirmation that, yes, he would be a part of this band. He nodded, then smiled softly and pressed another kiss to the side of Atlas' head.
Atlas' eyes widened slightly in both excitement and relief. A bright smile was set on his lips as he tightly wrapped his arms around Nikolas. He could tell that he'd probably be hindering Nikolas' breathing, but they could worry about that later. At that moment, he was too happy. He was probably just as happy now as he had been when the two of them decided to start dating. "Thank you so, so much, Cinthia!" Atlas beamed, turning his head to look at her. However, he kept his arms tight around his boyfriend.
Nikolas let out a surprised huff of air when he was squeezed by Atlas, then grinned and laughed softly as he wrapped his arms around his boyfriend too—though not quite as tightly as he was being held. Cinthia even cracked a small smile while she stood and brushed off invisible dust from her clothes. "It's no problem, but I'm glad I could help." She then got down to business, arms folding over her chest and head angled slightly. "How this arrangement is going to go is pretty simple. Most of the decisions are run by you, unless you give me explicit trust to do right by you on my own. Deadlines are a thing, but I don't expect you to be working on your music 24/7—just ask Tess about that. Work is important, yes, but so is free time." She dipped her chin slightly. "Don't want to run you ragged with stress."
Atlas had let go of Nikolas and leaned against him once again, listening to Cinthia. "Oh man, do I know stress. With my last release, my manager… well old manager… made me release it way earlier than it should have been released. So that made me work for about three days straight. Let's just say I had more than one breakdown and I had to stop with the coffee for a few weeks since I had gotten sick of it." Atlas recalled the event, cringing at the memory. "But anyway, that sounds great. Where's the studio? I should probably get to recording the remainder of my songs so I am still able to release this album on the existing release date."
Cinthia nodded in understanding at Atlas' slight rambling about his old manager, a flicker of relief sparking to at least remove that bit of stress from his shoulders. When he asked where the studio was, she nodded more firmly, eyes darting over to the staircase as she spoke. "Yes, that's a good idea. I want you to go with Hunt, as she has some things she has to work on as well, and can show you the ropes." Tess was already gliding down the stairs as Cinthia spoke, pulling up her hair into a high, and a bit messy, ponytail. "I'll need the Greek over there for a few other things." She then dipped her chin towards Nikolas.
Atlas nodded, listening to Cinthia's instructions, his eyes following hers to see Tess. He was beyond excited to be able to resume recording his songs, and without the pressure of his old manager. The only good thing about the other label he had been under was the producer. That producer was great and he did an amazing job. Atlas just hoped he could do as good of a job as the producer had.
After a split second of being stuck in thought, his mind returned to the present, a question arising. He wasn't sure if that had meant for both him and Nikolas to go with Tess, or if she just wanted Nikolas for a bit. He didn't ask, instead waiting to see what would happen.
Cinthia didn't wait for any response after that, just gave Nikolas a look and strode off to the kitchen. Nikolas smiled down at Atlas and playfully ruffled his hair. "Apparently Cin needs me here for something. Go ahead with Tess—she doesn't bite." He glanced over at her and received a wicked grin that spoke otherwise, then sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Much." Nikolas kissed Atlas' cheek and briefly hugged him. "I'll be down there in no time." Tess folded her arms over chest and leaned against the staircase railing, amused by Nikolas' lovey-dovey manner towards his boyfriend.
Atlas smiled, returning a soft kiss to Nikolas' forehead before standing up from the couch. With one last look at Nikolas, he went over to Tess. The couple had been right next to each other almost since Atlas left the old studio for good. Of course, they had been apart at times. But every time, Atlas felt a slight shiver from the lack of his boyfriend's warmth and like something was missing.
Tess smiled to Atlas as he came over to her, then leaned over to send a smirk over at Nikolas. "Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on him." Nikolas cast a doubtful look in her direction, one that said it's you who he needs to be kept away from, and she snickered in response, then faced Atlas and headed towards the door, spinning her keychain around her finger. "Alright kiddo, time to get to work." She opened the door and gestured for him to on ahead.
(Oh jeez, what is it with me and thinking I replied when I didn't? Sorry about that.)
With one last glance back at Nikolas, he turned back to Tess and went through the door. Every studio Atlas ever went to he felt at home. He almost already felt at home in this one. Being in a studio again, even though it was only the day before that he had been in one, brought instant joy and excitement. Already pumped, he took a few more steps, looking around with a bright smile.
((that's okay))
As the studio was attached to the house, it made it so much easier when it came to random bursts of energy or a need for a quick snack. That's what Tess loved about the twins—they were so unorthodox, but it the best way possible. But, even with it being attached to the house, that didn't stop it from being a fully functioning studio. It had its usual equipment found in a typical studio, most of it of high quality, and blocked out virtually all sound outside of the room. Tess leaned against the wall with an amused uptilt to her lips, watching Atlas. "Well? Think you can stomach working here?"
(And here we are, back on another season of "Imaegine is a bad roleplay partner"! Yeah, so I've been really inactive, as you can tell, but I'm having trouble writing and being motivated to write or roleplay. So I am 'officially' taking a break now. I have no idea how long it will last, but it'll definitely be a bit. I'm totally okay, just very unmotivated to write or rp. Sorry about this.)
((That's okay! I've been feeling the same way, so I totally understand where you're coming from))
