After 10 minutes of no response besides those of now-jealous fans, Lark decided to log out and invest his time in heading to the library to search for any more lore behind the Licht family or their property. While Lark could always interrogate the town's elderly, that would take way too long. Newspapers and journals were more likely to provide reliable answers, anyways.
"Lark, where are you going?" his mother called as he began to head out the door.
"Uh," he froze, racking his brain for an answer, "The store. We're out of eggs, remember?"
His mother was silent for a minute.
"Mom?" he asked, feeling a bit nervous.
"Make sure to get some yogurt, too. You know your father will have a fit if he doesn't get his daily intake." his mother replied, "Oh! I'd also appreciate it if you could get some crunchy peanut butter."
"Uh-huh. Yeah." Lark said, hurrying outside before his mother could keep him inside any longer. "Looks like I'm going to the store, then the library."

Upon arriving at the store, Lark made a loud entrance- turns out the door had been pull, and not push. After waving at a few onlookers, he hurried his way to the dairy aisle and bumped into someone who happened to be a girl with a half-shaved head and wild brown hair.
"Ah, s-sorry, do I- do I know you?" he stuttered, trying to avoid a conversation about bumping into her, "You wouldn't happen to attend high school here, would you?"
