Theo turned back around and smiled softly, "I'll be back later with your medication, okay? If you need me just let someone know."
Theo turned back around and smiled softly, "I'll be back later with your medication, okay? If you need me just let someone know."
SIghing, Danny nodded. He didn't like how many different medications he had been taking, recently. Whenever he takes them, it's like he is no longer in his body, and it lasts almost three hours before he can create coherent thoughts, again.
Theo ran a hand through his hair with small sigh of his own, "I know you don't like taking them, Danny, and I don't like seeing you frown or upset but you have to, and I have to do my job, eve though sometimes I don't want to."
Danny just sighed once more, looking off to the side with his head down. This place wasn't as much fun, ever since they figured out what all was wrong with him–well, all that they did find out, anyway.
(sorry, I've been sick and stuff, which I still am only now I'm acknowledging it. I'll try to be more active!!)
(All good! I hope you feel better soon. I've been busy so it's fine :) )
"I'll see you later, Danny." Theo said softly, giving him one last look before leaving him alone, no matter how much he didn't want to.
The clearly troubled patient didn't attempt a response. Instead, he just looked off to the side at the pile of scribbled drawings on the ground near him. The sight sent a small wave of anxiety through him, the feelings from them wafting off as if still fresh within his mind, however much the drugs had actually fogged the actual memories of the event.
The entire walk back to his desk, the doctor couldn't think about anything other then the pictures. They troubled him, yes but he was also more concerned for Danny. He knew they had to take it slow, and he didn't mind that as he wanted his patient to get better but he also wanted to get to the bottom of those pictures quickly.
(what time is it where you're at?)
Once the new nurse, Theo, had left, it was like a switch had flipped in Danny and he almost instantly went back to the usual. He had a thoughtful, dazed expression on his face as he curled up into a sitting position in the corner of his bed, absent-mindedly picking at the ends of his sweatshirt sleeves.
(6:18 pm, why?)
Once back at his desk, Theo got to work on inputting the information he had received. Thoughts and idea circulated through his head and he kept messing up his sentences and having to type them out again. He needed more sleep, that was something he now knew.
(Well. Damn. It's almost 3. In the morning. And I'm sick and should have gone to bed hours ago. Huh. I love making bad decisions -_-)
Calm didn't come easily to people like Danny. Neither did resting for long enough to actually sleep. And that was why Danny was beginning to, essentially, pass out. He hadn't slept a good full night in days, and it was clear, by the bags under his, surprisingly not-bloodshot, eyes.
(oof, im going to bed, 'night)
(ooft, okay. Get some sleep and feel better soon, mate!)
Tyler spent a good couple hours squinting at his computer screen and scolding himself for not bringing his glasses to work. He rested his head against the desk. His brain was too overloaded and he needed a break. Maybe a vacation…
(OKAY SO HEY IM BACK. sorry, I was sick, but I'm better now! :D)
Even though he was trying to avoid it, Danny somehow ended up passed out, unconscious against the wall his bed was pushed against. His head was lulled forward and his hair was covering his forehead as he let out small breaths. His eyes, however, were not resting so much. They were darting around under the thin lid, moving it as if he were looking around uncharted territory. A territory that he definitely didn't want to be in.
(HEY! I’m glad you’re feeling better :) )
A little while later, Theo made his way back to Danny’s room. Some food, a drinks nd his meds with him. As quietly as he could, he opened the door and shut it behind him with his foot.
(thanks)
Danny jerked in his sleep, head lightly hitting the other side of the wall.
Theo flinched just a little at the head bang, hoping the other was okay. He didn't want to wake him up, he wasn't wasn't an asshole. He placed the tray of items down and sat on the floor again.
Danny's eyes shut the slightest bit tighter, nose scrunching in effort as the dream became more upsetting.
Theo noted this, tilting his head to the side slightly for making a small note.
Moments later, Danny's icy eyes fluttered open. Open, but not quite seeing. The still-sleeping man began to make a series of facial expressions at the clear air in front of him. Eventually, though, he began to talk to it. "No… No, stop. I don't wanna… Carl, I can't do that." He leans in, as if whispering a secret to in someone's ear, comically putting a hand next to his mouth as he quietly spoke, "I can't do things like you can, if I jump I'll get hurt and they'll be sad…" He nodded like a small child that had just finished telling an adult something important. And, as soon as it had started, Danny's eyes fluttered back closed and he leaned back against the wall, his sleep returning to normal; now dreamless.
Carl… Theo scribbled the name down. He sighed, knowing he had to wake Danny up so he could take his meds and now ask about who this Carl guy is. He moved to the bed, sitting down on the edge and noting the height difference between them, or he was reminded how short he was, "Danny? You need to wake up now…" He said quietly, placing a hand on his shoulder.
Danny felt his heart almost leap out of his chest as he was pulled from the land of sleep. His eyes were wide at the man that was now sitting on the edge of his mattress, legs pulling back up in that nervous, shy way he had done during the earlier interaction. He looked over and noticed the medicine tray, sighing and bowing his head at the sight. It was dose-time.
Theo quickly moved away, not wanting to invade Danny's personal space more then he probably had, "I'm sorry, but you have to take your medicine now…" He said softly.
Danny sighed, looking to the side at the wall that was nearest to his head and on the opposite side as his nurse. Wordlessly, Danny limply moved his hand out on the bed, waiting to be handed the first small cup of multicolored pills.
Theo sighed, shaking his head at a few of his own thoughts before he handed Danny the first cup, “Danny, do you know anyone called Carl?”
(OOF sorry I've been gone for a HOT second)
Danny eyed the man up and down, not responding as he poured the small cup into his mouth, swallowing them dry. He met the other man's gaze, gently, hesitantly, handing the small paper cup back to him. He finally leaned forward, whispering as if he were telling a secret, "Does he talk to you, too?" His eyes were curious, shining with interest as he leaned back. He maintained loose eye contact, unlike usual, as he continued whispering, "The doctors say that he's my special friend; that no one but me can see or hear him. I don't think that he's a friend."
