“Well, we have mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, chinchillas and rabbits,” Lucifer reeled off, smiling a bit.
“Well, we have mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, chinchillas and rabbits,” Lucifer reeled off, smiling a bit.
“A chinchilla?” Chase’s eyes lit up, “Back in elementary school, my teacher had a chinchilla in the classroom- she was so fuzzy,” Chase’s grin grew even more, “And that year she had little babies and they were all so cute!”
(R.I.P guinea pigs)
Lucifer laughed softly and patted Chase’s arm. “Let’s get you a chinchilla, then. You sound very excited to get one.”
(oof)
“They’re just so fluffy,” Chase grinned, a warm and fuzzy feeling in his chest. He was so excited to get a pet- to get a pet with Lucifer. The past twenty four hours were the best he’d had in a long time.
(Can I get a rip in the chat?)
Lucifer leaned forward and told the driver instructions in the odd hissing language before sitting back.
“It’ll be a lot of fun. We’ll have to find space for it, though.”
(Wait, what?)
“Yeah. Does it need food and water too?” Chase asked, curious to know since this was Hell after all.
(R.I.P guinea pigs
Lmao nevm)
Lucifer nodded. “Not as much as normal chinchillas, but they still do need food.”
Chase hummed happily, “Thank you, Lucifer. No one’s ever treated me this way before.” He smiled, leaning his head back on the seat as he gazed at Lucifer.
Lucifer met his gaze and smiled a little. “You’re welcome. I’m glad I could be the first. And hopefully not the last,”
Chase smiled more- gosh, how many times had he smiled today? It was such a foreign feeling- to be this happy. Only when his mother had still been alive had he been this happy before… A thought popped into his head, but he forced it aside for later.
Lucifer smiled back and looked around again. “Are you thirsty, human? Oh, you have a bottle.” He smiled sheepishly, relaxing into the seat.
Chase blushed a little. I’m really not this important to get this much attention… “Thank you anyways,” He opened the bottle and slipped out of it for emphasis, a tiny smile on his face.
Lucifer nodded. “You’re welcome. I forgot I gave you one already.” Lucifer idly wondered why he cared so much.
“You know, you’re really nice. A lot nicer than I deserve.” Chase told him, staring a the floor for a few seconds before adding, “It’s kind of ironic, actually.” He let out a small laugh at that, knowing very well he was talking to Satan.
Lucifer reached over and set a hand on Chase’s shoulder. “If you were so lonely that you forced yourself to make a contract, you do deserve it. You’re a wonderful person.”
Chase blushed further, that warm ember in his chest growing. He tried his best to ignore it- this growing attachment to having Lucifer around. It’s a stupid hope anyways. “I- Th-Thank you.”
Lucifer set a hand on Chase’s head idly. It was literally just what Lucifer did to people.
“You’re welcome. I am here for you for any of your needs.”
Somehow, Chase blushed even more. He didn’t dare move in hopes of Lucifer keeping his hand on Chase’s head. Even if that would be weird. He just couldn’t help but like the fact that someone -that Lucifer- was touching his head.
Lucifer dug his fingers into Chase’s hair. “Hmm. Your hair needs washing. But it is nice.” He gave it a couple pats and didn’t move away.
Lucifer’s hand. Tangled in his hair. “I… Y-yeah, I-I need to wash it sometime…” Chase trailed off, too focused on his Lucifer’s gentle hand was in his hair. He must’ve been red as a cherry at this point. This kind of stuff never happened to him.
Lucifer hummed softly and looked around idly. “I think I have a shower you may use. You can freshen up before dinner.”
“That would be nice,” Chase smiled- he probably looked stupid smiling so often like this. He didn’t realize that he scooted closer to Lucifer. Stop- I should stop enjoying hanging out with Lucifer, I should just stop.
Lucifer looked down at him and rested his arm across Chase’s shoulders.
“Yep, I also have some springs out behind my castle if you’d rather that.”
Chase leaned in more and tucked himself in Lucifer’s side, even though everything in his mind was screaming at him that this was crazy. “Springs would be really cool,” He responded, but his mind was elsewhere. Chase could really only think about how he was so close to Lucifer.
Lucifer wrapped his arm closer into Chase. He hummed softly. “Then I’ll see if we can use them. Comfortable?” He asked softly, smiling down at him.
