Lucifer scootched over to make room for him and relaxed slowly. “You are not being annoying, Chase. Trust me, I know annoying.” He sighed deeply.
Lucifer scootched over to make room for him and relaxed slowly. “You are not being annoying, Chase. Trust me, I know annoying.” He sighed deeply.
Chase stayed quiet for a moment, before finally saying, “Thank you, Lucifer… You were right, about sleeping in the same bed as someone else. It helped.” Chase bit his tongue, hating himself for the traitorous feelings that sprouted in his chest. I’m… I’m a freak…
Lucifer set a hand on his. “Do not be ashamed. I can feel it coming from you in waves. Calm down.”
(Also I rarely stick to templates, so forgive me ^-^)
(Don’t worry about it, I also hardly stick to templates lol)
“My dad called me a freak for liking guys.” The words tumbled out so quickly he couldn’t even stop them. Tears threatened to form in Chase’s eyes, but he blinked rapidly to keep them at bay. He couldn’t even meet Lucifer’s eyes, gluing his gaze to the wall of the room instead in fear of retribution.
“You are not a freak for your body, Chase. It is simply how you are. Your father didn’t understand. However, I understand.” He sat up a little and swept his tears away.
“Do not cry, human. You are gone from him, now. You are at a safer place.”
Chase couldn’t stop himself, he wrapped his arms around Lucifer -gosh, here he was, with Satan- and pressed his face into his strong shoulder in a tight hug. Tears still escaped his eyes, but Chase didn’t feel sad. He didn’t know what he felt, but it wasn’t sad. Not as Lucifer’s warmth flooded into him with the comfort-seeking hug.
Lucifer gave a soft noise and hugged him back slowly. He hadn’t been hugged with such meaning in very long. Too long. He hugged Chase closer and let his tears sink into his shirt. He’d be there for his new human. Through thick and thin.
Chase didn’t know how long he stayed there, just that he didn’t feel like letting go. Lucifer was like a boulder in the middle a hurricane, sturdy and true. So even when the tears dried from his eyes, Chase lingered close to Lucifer’s warm and comforting hug.
Lucifer set his head down on the pillow and yawned widely again. He probably wouldn’t be able to get back to sleep, but he could try. Chase felt warm and soft in his arms, which lulled at his senses.
(What should they do now? Sorry I’m not feeling super creative rn)
(That’s okay, I get that feel. Idk either)
(Maybe Lucifer has to go back to work/do other responsibilities or something, and Chase doesn’t want to be alone so he could give Chase a tour of Hell? Just an idea, idk)
(Ooh yea sounds good)
Chase selfishly snuggled a bit closer, infinitely appreciating Lucifer’s strong presence next to him. He felt safe and happy- such a rare feeling in his life.
Lucifer had dozed back off again until he heard a knock at the door. He glanced up slowly.
“Mmmyeah?”
“Sir, you have to attend a meeting for the-“
“I am aware, carry on.”
Chase pulled away slightly to be able to look at Lucifer, asking softly, “Shouldn’t you go?” His heart sunk at the thought of being alone for a while. He wished they could stay, but he knew that Lucifer probably had things to do other than stay and comfort Chase all the time.
Lucifer yawned and sat up. “I guess. Did you want to come with me? We will be riding all over Hell and without someone to talk to would be quite dull.”
“I’d love to,” Chase perked up and a smile found its way to his face. He sat up as well, yesterday’s clothes wrinkled from wearing them to bed. “Uh… could I borrow some clothes?”
Lucifer looked him up and down. “Sure. What sizes do you wear?”
“Small, but medium and large could probably work too,” Chase replied, distracting himself by fingering the hem of his shirt. I wouldn’t mind snuggling up in a too large shirt…
Lucifer nodded and stood up off the bed. “I only have extra larges. But I do have medium sized jeans.”
“That works too,” Chase gave a smile, standing up off the bed too and stretching. he was still kind of surprised by himself. Here he was, far away from his old life, excited to go on a tour of Hell with Lucifer.
Lucifer pulled out the clothes and handed them to him. “The hangers will go away on their own, once you’re done with them.”
“Where should I change?” Chase asked, looking at the pants and oversized shirt. It looked soft and warm…
“You can just go over there.” He pointed to the other end of his bed. “I’ll change over here.”
