(Well damn sounds like fun! XD)

Ophelia smiles a bit when she feels the kiss being placed on top of her head. She always enjoys being held by him. Something about it is just so comforting and it just feels right. She lets out a soft sigh of content.

Hearing that she’s allowed to stay, she does perk up a bit. She thanks him for laying out his shirt for her to sit on, appreciating the gesture. Though she does plan on taking a bath when they get back inside, she doesn’t want to get covered in sand. It would be unpleasant and uncomfortable.

About half way through his workout sequence, she drifts all into a light sleep, her chin propped up on her knees. The Sun lifting up into the sky is what wake her away. She cracks her eyes open and looks over to him, realizing that he’s down. She stifles a yawn and stands up so they can make their way back inside.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

(Haha I was waiting for friends at the club and they invited me to join them)

Kaillas sheathed his weapon before walking over to Ophelia. Once she was on her feet, with one arm, he picked her up to cradle her to his side. "Let's get you back to bed, darling." He coukd see how tired she was. And just because he was awake didn't mean that she needed ro be.

He carried her up to their room and placed her gently on the bed. "I'm going to bathe and then I'll join you in bed alright?" He needed to bathe. He smelled badly and the sweat was getting sticky on his body.

He kissed the too of her head. "Sleep," he said, gently pushing her back on the bed. He wanted her to sleep more. He straightened his back before turning and going to the bathroom. He left it ajar so he could hear her and she knew the door was open to her if she needed him.

@LolaBug

(They sound like a lot of fun lol)

Ophelia is momentarily surprised as Kaillas effortlessly lifts her and carries her back inside. She has a feeling that she’s going to need to get used to him picking her up. She nestles against his side, feeling trying to stay awake. Her lack of sleep from being woken up early is beginning to catch up with her, and she welcomes the idea of returning to bed.

As he gently places her on the bed, she offers a tiny smile of thanks before hesitating. Her original plan was to bathe and start the day. If she stays in bed, she’s going to get the sheets dirty. Yet, the thought of a little more sleep is too tempting for her to resist.

She watches him leave for the bathroom, deciding to just give him and sleep for just a little while longer. One more hour and then she’ll awaken and get herself cleaned up. Closing her eyes, she let’s the weariness take over, surrendering to the beckoning call of sleep.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

After he shut the door, Kaillas ran the bath water Wark and stripped of his clothing. He watched himself in the mirror for a moment as he waited fir the bath to fill up. He looked at his scars, thinking how cruesome they must look. How hideous. He looked at the scar on his cheek, just narrowly missing his eye as it ended on his temple.

He turned his gaze away, shutting off the bath water as it filled. He stepped into the warm water, releasing a sigh as he did. He grabbed the bar of soap and began cleaning his body. He though about skipping his hair but he knew it too was soaked in sweat.

As he finished, he stepped out if the bath and towel dried himself. He picked his head in the bedroom as he tied the towel around him. He noticed Ophelia's sleeping figure.

He left the bathroom and went to the closet, trying ti be quiet so he didn't wake her. He changed into a pair of simple trousers and shirt. He tipped out ifnthe closet and walked towards the bed. He slowly climbed into bed, wrapping his arms around Ophelia, trying not to wake her.

@LolaBug

Though she doesn’t wake, she curls up against him when he joins her at last. It’s strange but she sleeps much better having him by her side. She’s not sure if she can get a full night’s rest without him anymore. Something about his presence just makes her feel at ease and happy.

About an hour later, she wakes up once again, feeling more refreshed and alert than she had the first time. She turns her head and looks over to Kaillas, pressing a light kiss to his cheek. She’s glad that he eventually came back to bed. She must have still been asleep when he did since she doesn’t remember him joining her.

She carefully climbs out of bed and takes a moment to stretch and get rid of the sleepily. Still feeling gross from spending part of the night in the sand, she heads into the bathroom to take a bath. Though she’s sure they’ll be back out on the beach today, she still needs to get clean so she doesn’t feel so yucky.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaillas didn't sleep again. Her presence was soothing and lulling, hearing her even breaths. But even then, he couldn't sleep. He just curled up around her, holding her tight and listening to her.

About an hour or so passed before Ophelia woke up once more. He released her as she moved to get out of bed. He sat up in bed, watching her with a gentle smile. He was quiet as she slicked into the bathroom. A part of him wanted to follow her but he decided against it.

As he heard the bathwater running, he slipped out of the bedroom to find a maid. He wanted to surprise Ophelia with breakfast in bed. He found them downstairs, and spoke with a few of them to arrange to have their breakfast brought to them.

He walked back up the bedroom and sat back down on the bed, waiting for Ophelia to emerge.

@LolaBug

Ophelia sinks into the tub with a soft sigh. The warm water feels amazing. She takes a few minutes to scrub off all of the sand, instantly feeling better once it’s all off. It doesn’t take her too long to be done with her bath and soon she’s climbing out of the tub.

She takes a towel and pats herself dry. Not wanting to change back into dirty clothes and having thought to bring anything with her, she wraps herself up in the towel. She’s under the impression that Kaillas is still asleep so it shouldn’t be a problem.

Making sure that her towel is securely wrapped around herself, she steps out of the bathroom. All she needs to do is grab one of her gowns and pull it on. To her surprise, not only is Kaillas awake but he’s alert and sitting on the bed. She freezes for a moment before scurrying over to the dresser.

She needs to grab a dress and duck back into the bathroom before she makes things awkward.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaillas raised his head as the door opened and Ophelia walked out wrapped only in a towel. He inhaled sharply, all the blood in his body going to one area of his body. He would have laughed how she scurried away if his mind wasn't in the gutter.

As soon she disappeared, his head fell back on the headboard with a thunk. He had nor been expecting that nor prepared. He only hoped his little problem went away by the time she emerged again.

It did not. When the door open, he had the blankets pooled on his lap ti try and hide it. He looked at Ophelia, smiling and beckoning her forward to come to him on fhe bed. "Did you sleep well?" He asked as she settled down on the bed.

@LolaBug

Ophelia is back in the bathroom in record time. She grabbed the first dress she saw and bolted. Clearly she should have stuck her head out to check first. It’s a mistake she won’t be repeating. She quickly changes into the dress, turning her head a little when she hears the thunk from the room.

She takes a minute to compose herself before stepping back into the bedroom. The pile on blankets on Kaillas’ lap does not go unnoticed by her. She knows what they’re for but she’s certainly not going to call him out on it. It is her fault after all.

“I slept fine,” She assures him lightly as she goes over to the bed and sits down next to him. “Did you get enough rest?” She asks, worried that getting up to train interrupted his sleep too much.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaillas reached out his hand for her as she neared. He placed his hand on her waist when she sat next to him. He kissed her forehead gently. "Good," he said, "you needed to sleep." Not for any other reasons than that she was tired and recovering from their day of travel.

"Not as much as I needed but more than I've gotten." He could have certianly slept longer but he was used to surviving on very little sleep. Partly because if his time in the army but so much due to his nightmares that haunted his dreams.

"Are you hungry?" He asked. He was starving. Training had worked up an appetite and he needed to eat to replenish his energy.

@LolaBug

Ophelia takes his hand and leans against him lightly. “It’s been a long week,” She agrees. Everything has been tiring so she’s glad to be getting a little more sleep. She’s hoping to come back from their honeymoon nice and refreshers so she can face the court.

“Perhaps you can take a nap today to make up for it?” She suggests, feeling bad that he didn’t get much sleep. There must be a lot weighing on his mind.

The mention of food perks her up a bit. “Some breakfast sounds nice,” She agrees. Last night’s dinner was amazing but it’s been quite awhile since then so she’s pretty hungry. There’s no doubt in her mind that the kitchen staff has made something absolutely delicious for them to eat.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaillas wrapped an arm around her as she leaned into his side. "We have some things planned today. I'm not sure we'll be able to fit in a nap." And even jf they could, he doubted he would be able to find sleep anyhow. He'd never really been able to take naps before. He could never fall asleep.

At the mention of breakfast, there was a lnocknat the door. He called for them to come in and three maids came in. Two carrying trays with a stand that would fit on the bed and the last carrying their drinks.

Kaillas moved his arm from Ophelia so they could place the stands on the bed over their laps. The third maid came forward and filled their goblets with orange juice. With a curtsy, they left at Kaillas' dismissal. And then they were alone again.

The trays had a stack of pancakes on each plate. A variety of breakfast meats and a side of eggs made in how they each liked it. Kaillas eggs were scrambled. "Surprise," he said as he leaned over to kiss her cheek.

@LolaBug

Ophelia smiled at him, grateful for his affectionate gesture. Before she knows it, a few maids are entering the room with trays full of amazing looking foods. The aroma of the delicious breakfast spread fills the room, making her stomach growl in anticipation. She’s definitely shocked by all of this.

"Surprise indeed," She agrees with a light laugh, returning his kiss on the cheek. "You know just how to make mornings special." She finds it incredibly sweet that he set all of this up. She glances at the trays, taking in the tempting array of food. The sight of fluffy pancakes, savory breakfast meats, and perfectly scrambled eggs makes her mouth water.

She pickea up her fork, ready to dig in. "Thank you, Kaillas. This looks absolutely amazing," she says sincerely. She takes a bite of the pancakes, savoring the taste of the fluffy texture and the hint of sweetness from the syrup.

“So, what are these plans you mentioned earlier? I'm curious to know what you have in store for us today," she inquires, interested by the prospect of spending time together.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaillas felt a wave of pleasure as her face lit up at the food. He enjoyed making her happy. It was the only thing that mattered to him. He coukd handle anything when it came to her, as long as she was happy.

He picked up a fork and took a bite after she had. He hated to admit it, but Kaillas himself had a sweet tooth and he did love pancakes. He enjoyed most sweets, taking it when he could. Which was more often than not now that he was in the palace. They made him whatever he wanted. Which could be dangerous sometimes. If he didn't train as often as he did, he'd likely be a fat man by now.

"Well, it wouldn't be a surprise if I told you now would it?" He quirked an eyebrow before taking another bite of his breakfast. "You'll enjoy it, that's all you need to know. And to weat comfortable walking shoes." They would be out all day.

@LolaBug

Ophelia chuckles at Kaillas' playful response, understanding his desire to keep the surprise intact. She trusts him implicitly, knowing that whatever he had planned would be wonderful. She’s starting to learn that he has a knack for thoughtful surprises.

"Alright, I'll trust you on this one," She replies with a dramatic sigh. She hums, savoring another bite of her pancakes. The combination of flavors was delightful, and she cant help but feel grateful for the simple pleasures in life.

As she finishing her meal, Ophelia nodded in agreement. "Comfortable walking shoes it is," she confirms, already starting to imagine the possibilities of their day ahead. The thought of exploring and spending quality time together fills her with excitement.

Setting her fork down, she reaches for her goblet of orange juice and takes a refreshing sip. "Thank you again, Kaillas. This breakfast was perfect, and I'm looking forward to the surprises in store," she expresses, her voice filled with genuine appreciation and anticipation.

After a moment, she leans in closer, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Just one small hint, please? I promise I won't pester you for more," she adds with a playful smile, hoping to tease a clue out of him.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaillas sincerely doubted that she was going to trust him on this. She was too curious for her own good and he had a feeling she was going to try to milk something out if him. He looked at her through the corner of his eye with a knowing smile.

He had finished his pancakes by now, almost wishing he had more. He was alternating on his meats and eggs until those too were finished. He took big bites and ate fast. He had been starving for a few hours bit he wanted to let Ophelia sleep. She had needed it much more than he had needed food.

He placed the stand and small tray aside. After they left the maid's would come in and clean up for them. He held his glass of orange juice in his hand, watching as Ophelia finished the last of her breakfast. "I'm glad you enjoyed it. We'll try to do this as often as we can when we're back at the palace." He was king. It shouldn't be too much of a problem. He got what he wanted essentially.

He knew the question was going to come and it did. Curiosity had gotten the best if her and was trying so hard to figure out his surprises. But he just shook his head with a smile. "We'll be walking," was all he said. Hence why he had said comfortable walking shoes. She wasn't getting a peep out of him.

"Are you ready to get going?" He was itching to leave. He didn't like sitting still for too long. As comfortable as it was to lounge in bed he'd rather get on with the day.

@LolaBug

Ophelia laughs a bit at Kaillas' knowing smile and his refusal to give her even a small hint about their day's plans. She understands his desire to keep the surprises intact but she’s desperate to know where they’re going and what they’re doing. Unfortunately, she counts she’ll be receiving that information.

"I suppose I'll have to be patient and wait," she says with a playful pout. The look on his face says that there’s no way he’ll cave on this so she won’t attempt badgering him about it again.

As he mentions their future breakfasts at the palace, her heart warms. The idea of continuing breakfast in bed in their daily lives makes her feel excited. It’ll be a great way to spend time with each other. "I look forward to it.”

After setting her empty plate aside, she gets up from the bed, stretching her limbs so she doesn’t feel stiff. Apparently there be a lot of walking involved today. She makes her way to the wardrobe, selecting a comfortable pair of walking shoes as Kaillas had suggested. She doesnt have many comfy shoes so she can’t be picky.

Turning to face him, she smiles. "All set!” She hopes it won’t take long to get there. She’s already ready to know what they’re going to be doing.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

"Yes you will." Kaillas chuckled at her pout. It was adorable and he couldn't help but lean in to kiss those lips. It was over almost as soon as it started. They had a long day ahead of then and he didn't want to get too distracted and set them back.

He looked at her affectionately before climbing out of bed. What a relief it would be to have breakfast in bed. Or at least somewhere private. They did have their own private dining hall he utilized at times but his sisters had their friends they wanted to see at dinner so he rarely used it. But with his wife, they could use it whenever they pleased.

He found his boots at the foot of the bed and put them on, lacing them up quickly. Walking to the closet, he found a light jacket to wear over the shirt and buttoned it up.

He turned to Ophelia as she announced she was ready. He went to her and took her hand. "Let's get on with it then shall we?"

Kaillas took her to the stables. It was small walk across the property but he didn't mind it. Not with his beautiful wife by his side. When they entered, two horses were already saddled and waiting for them. They were not, unfortunately, their horses from home. Cheesecake was still in the stables at the palace. These horses had been the ones pulling the carriage. They were excellent riding horses as well. And he knew his wife enjoyed riding so he'd rather this than take the carriage.

@LolaBug

Returning the kiss, she’s happy to keep it quick and simple. She knows that they have a big day ahead of them and it’s best that they don’t delay their departure. Besides, she’s curious to see what all he has planned for them today.

She smiles warmly at him as he takes her hand. As they walk, she takes a look around to figure out where they’re going. To her delight, she soon realizes that they’re approaching the stables. The prospect of riding horses with her husband is very exciting. She enjoys the freedom and connection with nature that comes with horseback riding.

As they enter the stables, Ophelia admires the two horses waiting for them. She knows that the horses are the ones that we’re pulling the carriage for them. It’s nice that they’re riding horses as well. Her eyes light up with enthusiasm as she approaches them, gently running her hand along the sleek coat of one of the horses.

"Thank you for arranging this, Kaillas. I can't wait to ride with you." She loves that they’re going to be able to ride. She hasn’t had much time to ride lately. Things have just been so busy.

She turns to face him, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Shall we go?" She asks, already eager to feel the exhilarating rush of wind against her face as they ride together.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaillas watched as Ophelia interacted with the horses. He smiled as he came up to her side, placing his hand on the horse. "I know he's not Cheesecake but I thought you might enjoy riding anyways."

"And I figured instead of keeping the horses cooped up in the stables we might as well take then for a ride. They've been trained to take a rider but if you decide to do anything fancy like jumping a fence they might look at you strange." He had been planning this trip since he had heard of her love of riding. And he didn't want to bring more horses than necessary with them.

Instead of asking for a block to help her climb on the horse, he grabbed her waist and placed her on top of the saddle. It would be a short ride. Twenty minutes at most horseback. Otherwise he would have told her to dress in riding clothes.

Once she was settled in the saddle he mounted his own horse and gripped the reigns. A couple of guards mounted their own horses behind them. Right, they would have an escort. Of course they would. A few guards had already gone ahead to secure the merchant town. They would shut down travel in the duration that they were there for their safety.

"You ready, darling?" He looked over at her, a smile on his face.

@LolaBug

Ophelia smiles as Kaillas joins her by the horses, his hand resting on the horse's shoulder. "Although I love Cheesecake, I'm just as happy to ride any horse." She can always take her stallion out for a long ride when they get home just so she doesn't feel too bad about 'cheating' on him.

She nods in understanding as she listens to him talking about the horses' training. "No worries, I won't attempt any fancy jumps today," She assures him with a playful laugh. "Just a peaceful ride sounds perfect." It's been a little while since she's done anything fancy. A few months before she was sent here she did a few small jumps during a forest ride and that's about it.

Though she's perfectly capable of mounting the horse on her own, she doesn't protest as Kaillas lifts her onto the saddle. She settles comfortably, the sensation of being on horseback a very familiar one. She adjusts her position slightly, ensuring her balance was steady. She does hope that this won't be a very long ride. While she enjoys it, this is not the best dress for this activity. It's more comfortable than most but it still isn't made for this.

Glancing at the guards who were joining them, she acknowledges their presence with a tiny nod. She knows that they have to escort them everywhere to ensure their safety. It gets a little tiresome after awhile but she knows that it's for the best.

Meeting his gaze, she eagerly nods her head. "Absolutely ready," she declares, her smile matching his. "Lead the way." With that, she nudges her horse gently, preparing for the ride ahead, eager to explore the surrounding area and see what all is in store for the day.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaillas nudged his horse forward, leading him out of the stables. He waited until Oohelia pulled up next to him before he started on the familiar road. It was wide enough for their horses to walk side by side.

"This won't be a very long ride," he promised. Neither of them were really wearing the right clothes for riding. At least not for a long ride. "Twenty minutes, give or take, and we'll reach our destination." He had no intentions of making Ophelia uncomfortable for riding in the dress she was in.

The was filtering through the tree branches that hung over the path. As the rays his Ophelia's hair, it made her glow. She could have been angel if he were a religious man. He'd seen death and pain too much to ever believe in a higher entity.

"So I know you have a love of horses. I'm assuming you owed at least one yourself. What else did you have at home?" Ambrose may have mentioned to Kaillas to bring uo her pets. He knew nothing of then nor where they were. Only it was a conversation to have with her. He wasn't sure why but he was about to find out.

@LolaBug

Ophelia joins Kaillas, perfectly content as they ride side by side, enjoying the gentle breeze and the dappled sunlight filtering through the trees. The rhythmic sound of their horses' hooves against the path creates a comforting background noise.

"Well, you're right about my love for horses," She replies, her voice filled with fondness. "I do have a horse back home. Her name is Calla. She’s a beautiful black Fresian. She was my birthday present when I turned ten. I used to spend hours riding through the fields and exploring the countryside with her.”

As Ophelia speaks, her tone gradually becomes sad. She desperately misses all of her pets.

"As for other animal, I had quite a few. There was my elderly orange tomcat, Timothy. Despite his age, he had a habit of getting into all sorts of trouble but he was incredibly affectionate. I also had a tortoiseshell cat named Cannoli and a black kitten named Bat. Then there was my Mastiff, Monty, my Pomeranian, Honey, and my Springer Spainel, Willow. They were all so wonderful. I had six canaries as well. Sunny, Maple, Lily, Risotto, Charlie, and Pebble. Lastly, I had two rabbits named Chili and Pepper.”

Ophelia speaks of her pets very affectionately but think I about them saddens her. It has been some time since she had seen them, and she hopes they are doing well.

"I miss them dearly," she adds softly, her voice tinged with a hint of longing. She hadn’t been allowed to bring even one with her. It was a fight that lasted weeks and one that she unfortunately lost.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaillas listened quietly to her as she spike about her pets. He saw the way her face just lit up as she bags naming off her pets at home. However, he grew concerned as her smile faded away. He could only imagine what she was feeling. He had never owned pets himself, besides his horse of course but that was different. He was not a pet. His stallion was a work horse. He was trained for combat and had been taken to battle more than once.

"Why don't you send your family a letter and have your pets brought here? This palace could use a few." Come to think of it, there were no pets at the palace. There were horses and messenger ravens. The rest if the livestock in or near the palace was butchered for food.

"Or I can even send a letter, jf you think it would work better." He knew she had a complicated relationship with her parents. Perhaps a letter from him would work a little better. It wouldn't be right but if it worked it meant his wife would be happy with all of her animals.

His horse staggered a moment, almost bumping into Ophelia's stallion. He placed a hand on the side of his neck, trying to soothe him. He had stepped in an indent on the road that had left him unsteady.
