Yeah totally!
Yeah totally!
Okay! Give me a moment then!
Chrysa was watching from the rooftops. She was alone today as she was just supposed to be scouting out the government parade. Supposedly there was a release of a new genetic combination being shown off in the parade, but Chrysanthemum had seen nothing on it yet. However, she had spotted a bystander that piqued her interest. Moving closer Chrysa made sure to stay silent as she focused mainly on the parade, but also on the girl. If nothing exciting happen she could at least grab a new rebellion member, probably.
Evelyn was waiting besides her brother as she watched the parade, watching them go on by. Her ears flicked back and fourth, the clip on loop earrings she had put on top of both of them moving a bit up and down. Her tail also swayed back and forth impatiently. "Augh I HATE being this short." Evan only rolled his eyes and sniffed the air. "I smell someone." "We're in a huge crowd of people Evan." "Someone important. Someone's watching us." Evelyn nods and lets Evan lead the two away casually. They were always careful about being watched and the government, especially with Evelyn's track record. Which…had never been spotless.
Chrysa looked to the parade, which was getting close to over, and then the girl and the other male. She pulled her bandana up over her mouth and nose before following after dropping down once the pair was away from the crowd. Her glove flickered with electricity just slightly, she didn't want the male, only the girl. But if the guy would help the girl cooperate than so be it. She spoke low and menacing as she touched the girl's shoulder from behind, "Stay quiet and come with me."
There was a snarl and in an instant Evelyn had thrown Chrysa to the ground, and she put her baseball bat to her throat. "Why?" She growled out. Evan, a Manned wolf type, just stood by calmly, and made sure that neither of them got caught, or hurt by more than eachother. Evelyn looked over the girl and put the iron slugger across her shoulders, and draped her arms over it. "There's much nicer ways to get people to follow you other than scaring the shit outta them, jesus." She said with an eyeroll.
Chrysa rolled away from the girl who had thrown her down once she got the chance. She stayed down on her knees in a low position as she looked up at the other girl, "Yes, but oftentimes this way gets their attention," she stood up and kept her wits about her repeating her statement, "So stay quiet and come with me. You're not going to get hurt, I can promise that much."
She looked at Evan, and sighed. "Tell Dad I'm not coming home for dinner, if ever." She then hugged her brother. "Keep an eye out for me alright?" He nodded, and the two slapped tails, and he ran off. Evelyn then turned to Chrysa. "Yeah, but you'd get beat up less if you were just a little bit nicer. A friendly hello is also less suspicious, especially in large crowds." She shrugged and followed after Chrysa. "So where we going miss Dark and Brooding?" She teased. She treated everyone like she knew them for 2 years. A curse and a blessing.
"Well then my job would lose its luster," Chrysa responded with a half-grin on her face underneath the mask. She walked up to the wall, it had plenty of places to get a good grip for someone who had probably never climbed a wall before. Not that she doubted this stranger, but it was always good to have an easy wall for the first step. She grabbed a hold of the wall, "Up, onto the rooftops. Do you need any help getting up top?"
Evelyn was already halfway up the wall by the time Chrysa tried talking to her. "Huh? Oh no I got it! Promise." She smiled a bit and kept going, back and forth, easy does it. Wouldn't have been the first time she's had to climb the walls of this city to get away. Probably won't be the last. She sometimes saw strange girls on the roofs. Normally they left her alone. Not that she cared. She just stayed out of their way and snuck into her friends houses.
Chrysa climbed up bounding past Evelyn with no problem. She reached up on the top and looked around. She moved over to another edge to check on the parade seeing that the last float was going by with no showing of the rumor. Chrysa shrugged went back to where Evelyn was taking off her mask, "Follow me. I'll show you the way to our new home."
"New home? Sweet!" She happily trotted along behind Chyrsa, humming a bit as she followed along.
Chrysa was smiling slightly as she walked along. Her eyes glanced around checking to see if anyone was following them. She popped her collar up, "Yep."
"Not to sound impatient but how far away is it?" She asked quietly, walking along beside her now, smoothing back her hair.
"Quite a bit away," Chrysa continued to walk taking strange paths just in case. She continued along, "We're not taking a conventional route back."
"I'll find a way back. I've got crap I need to grab. Especially my mom's guitar…what are the people at home like? Are they the girls I see running around on the roofs of my neighborhood sometime?"
Chrysa froze at those words. They had been spotted before? She took a deep breath before continuing, "You'll probably never be able to go back to your home, it's too dangerous. Otherwise, yes. Yes, they are those girls you see running around the rooftops."
"Then Evan will deliver it. In the city not home. Don't worry I'm mostly running away from home and we happen to cross paths sometimes. Not many people are on the roofs except you girls. Hard to miss."
Chrysa nodded along. She let out a mental sigh of relief and continued to walk, "I don't know how you'll get in contact with him, but sure if you can do that then that works. Anyway we should be there soon."
She nodded and fell silent, looking around, already mentally remembering the route by landmarks and scents as well. She couldn't help it.
Chrysa could see the outline of sheet metal huts from the beginning. They were almost at the main base and Chrysa had all the plans to drop the girl off and then head back to her own base to check her sources. Aliana and Hailey could handle what to do with the girl, speaking of which, "I never got your name. Considering we're almost there and I need to introduce you to the leaders, I should probably know your name."
"Oh! I'm Evelyn. And what's yours? I can't call you bitch face forever." She teased with a wink and a smile, even nudging Chrysa a little.
Chrysa shrugged not really budging in the tease and wink, "Call me Chrysa, though I doubt we'll be seeing each other much after this."
"Hey I'll keep an eye out for ya. Just in case. Ya never know with this crazy city." She smiled and winked again. Such was the nature of Evelyn.
Chrysa rolled her eyes grinning. She made her way to one of the bigger sheet metal huts moving through the area with ease, "Like I said, I doubt we'll be seeing each other again."
